Austin is an incredibly intuitive, intelligent and open hearted guide. He loves people, and he really gets people. He vibes on a deeper frequency than most, and his energy draws out the best and truest parts in others. I'm here to share the outcome of our journey together, though it's very difficult to 'eff' the ineffable. The truest and most concise thing I can say is that during the course of our work together my perspective has evolved immeasurably. Life is more fun and meaningful. Fear is less intimidating. Instead of using my mental energy to ruminate on unhelpful thinking, I'm learning to re-focus my very active imagination on creating meaningful action in the world. We only spent 9 hours working together over the course of 6 weeks, and yet so much has evolved internally. With a new perspective and real, tangible tools and networks I can tap into going forward, the world is again an exciting place full of potential for meaningful connection and creative expression. Like with all things in life, you'll get as much as you put into the work with Austin. If you're ready for a shift in perspective that makes the world feel more like a playground, less like a prison, I highly recommend reaching out to Austin! read more

I was so fortunate to find Austin in my search for life-coach and therapist. He has a unique balance of spiritual, professional and trauma experience that helped me work strategically through difficult decisions and internal conversations. I've made great progress based on the work we did in our discussions that has lead to really amazing community and lifework changes. I so look forward to working again with Austin to navigate crossroads that I come to in the future. I cannot recommend his coaching and approach enough. read more

I booked a consultation with Austin on a Thursday night for the next morning. I was in the pits of despair and knew I couldn't go it alone any more. In one week, I had had a close friend pass and my partner (or whom I thought was my partner) end our relationship. As a result, I had to find a place to live, move out of 2 apartments, and had recently started a new job that I wasn't that invested in because said "partner" and I were moving out of the country the following March; all while trying to mourn the loss of a wonderful human that I will miss very much. I honestly had no idea how to pull myself out of the funk I was in. In fact, to call it a funk is an understatement. I didn't know which way was up. I arrived at his office at 11am the next morning and we talked (mostly, I cried) for about 90 minutes. In that 90 minutes, he gave me hope. Hope that I could have faith in myself to get through it and trust that he was going to be there to help me every step of the way. I saw him for a total of 6 sessions and it was one of the most important experiences I've ever had. It is an investment in yourself and your future. This is NOT your typical "talk therapy". It is experiential. He walks you through all of your life's tragedies to find the moments that have impacted you the most. He helped me realize that I have lived my life, after my hardest time, with patterns that do not serve me. He helped me to see what it is that keeps me from being my best and I'm learning how to avoid circumstances that keep me in that never ending loop. I'm still evolving, I'm not "fixed" by any means, but now I'm confident that I have the necessary tools and confidence to keep moving forward without getting caught again. And that if I do, it's okay, I will recognize that it's happening. If any of this resonates with you, or even if it doesn't, and you feel that you cannot move forward without making real change in your life, I recommend that you book a consult with Austin immediately. He's so kind and definitely provides a loving, judgment free forum to air all of your hardships. He's truly here to help. Be well! read more

I've had great results through creativity coaching with Austin. I needed help in being consistent and focused on my writing, and now I'm hitting my goals every day. His process is very action oriented, and at the same time I feel inspired just by the way he works. He's obviously a natural leader, and I find that motivating. Using a combination of NLP and empathy, his process itself is the real gold here. First we explored what's been in the way of me reaching my writing goals, and we addressed each one, relaxing my subconscious fears and focusing my mind on my goals. It was odd, I'll admit, exploring the stories I've had about why I was stuck in my writing, but just looking at that with Austin's support felt safe....and it works. read more

I've worked with Austin on two separate challenges and both times he's been wonderful. The first was a couples counseling session where myself and my partner were in crisis mode. Austin's acute listening along with his gentle yet firmly self assured style of life coaching really helped see us through and our relating shifted in just one session. The second was help with a conflict I and two house mates were having. Again Austin's skill and style saw us through our challenges. I highly recommend working with Austin. read more

Austin provided me and my wife more than coaching and advice, he became invested in us and has had a profound impact on our marriage, our business, our lives. Austin is a Renaissance Man. He has an incredibly unique background and, lucky for the world, he shares his experiences and knowledge through Insight Coaching and other ventures. He is so grounded that just talking to him helps to provide calm in today's hectic world. Sessions are 2 hours long, he offers many different time slots, and he places boundaries on the "work" so that issues can be resolved and the sessions don't drag on longer than they need to. In short, Austin makes me feel better about the world, and I'm grateful to know that I have his support whenever needed. read more

This morning I started working in earnest on a new music project - an instrumental version of a cover tune for my friend to sing over at a wedding. It was due... today. I started it... today. I was filled with anxiety as I began the project, and everything (inevitably) sounded terrible. After all, it was a terrible first draft. I started the mental race to call myself all sorts of bad names. I started the spin-up into internal shrieking anxiety that I have experienced many times after procrastinating a project that I was afraid to start because I was afraid to be bad at something I was supposed to be "the best" at. (Whatever that means.) And then... I remembered that I have been working with NLP with Austin regarding my attitudes towards my music in specific, and music I make in general. And I remembered some of the re-patterning that Austin had worked with me on. I let myself go to a place of peace (against my brain's admonishments), watched the universe of this song unfold, and accepted that I was good enough to make it all work and sound good. I started out convinced that there was no way I would succeed (since I was busy comparing my version to the original, which was Ray Charles, thank you very much). It was painful (mostly my hands, which are not used to playing that much guitar in a day), but I sent it to my friend, in time to be useful to her, and she said it sounded great. Is it my greatest artistic expression? No. Is it another notch in my "music guy" bedpost? Sure. Is it a demon beat back? Absolutely. Thank you, Austin." -Damian Sol, Violinist,Composer, Producer read more

Austin really helped me out in a time of life transition and I'll be forever grateful for his guidance. I accepted a job offer and was due to start in about a month from the time I contacted him. The job was a completely different role than what I was accustomed to and required me to step outside my comfort zone on several levels. We spend a small portion of the first session going over goals, objectives of the sessions and pricing. He gave me a fixed rate for a certain number of sessions, which I was very grateful for. I wasn't interested in traditional therapy in the sense that you go every week indefinitely; paying a small fortune and sometimes not feeling you are moving forward. We worked though several issues that were holding me back professionally and personally. He also used NLP to reverse some limiting beliefs I had. He is patient, kind, wise and very honest. Austin's techniques require talking about some very uncomfortable things, but I always felt safe in his care. In all, it took 5 sessions and I can truly say that I am transformed. I had my last session 2 months ago and I was a little worried it would "wear off" or I would forget what I learned. That is not the case and I am more focused now than ever. I definitely plan on going to Austin again for some other goals I want to achieve and would recommend him to anyone who is looking to access their full potential. read more

As a result of meeting with Austin only 3 times, I now have a deeper and more insightful connection to who I am, how I relate to those around me and how I perceive challenges. For the first time since I was 12 years old I don't feel an underlying fringe of despair. The work Austin did with me helped me physically move through my own "baggage" into the present. The work we did allowed me to more fully accept the life I have created for myself, allowing me to be a happier version of myself. I am the type of person who is very physically, visually and kinesthetically connected to memory and emotion. This type of therapy was like magic for me. It was a meaningful and positive reality check. Austin is such a real and genuine person, it's hard not to like him. What an amazing experience. read more

I worked with Austin for approximately two months, on both personal and professional issues. For the most part, I felt "stuck" because I needed to make some key decisions and was not doing so. The decisions were key to moving me forward with my life -- finding myself again and ultimately being happy. Austin was great in helping me see alternative perspectives with his combination of coaching and empathy. Although it felt awkward at first to role play and explore stories of the past, the eye-opening experience provided me with the resources to become "unstuck". Austin helped me to realize that I had the answers all along; I just needed to have the courage to live my life and not just exist in it. I highly recommend Austin if you are having any issues in your life, requiring a unique and empathetic perspective. Thanks Austin! read more

Wow! Austin greeted my call with so much grace & assurance that I was going to make it through one of the hardest times of my life (and I have been through a lot before). I was referred to Austin by a close life long friend who absolutely raved about him & lit up every time she spoke of her revelations from her sessions. So despite my lack of funds at the time, my desperation led me to make the investment into myself. Austin helped me get down to the bottom of what was causing the Intensity of emotion in me & from that place I have been building upon it ever since. I went from experiencing deep depression while pregnant, practically on verge of self harm to a radical sense of self acceptance and worth. Every cent was well worth Austins time and unique ability to hold a healing space. In his there was no judgement... As rumi says, out beyond ideas of right doing & wrong doing there's a fiend, I'll meet you there! Worth it to meet someone there! read more

Often times people say, "Years from now I will look back on this and ..." That was my experience with Austin. Austin and I connected when I was struggling both with professional and personal struggles. In addition to experiencing a significant setback at work, I was experiencing existential issues to my marriage and it was clear that the two were interrelated. I met with Austin four different times, and from the very first session he helped unlock issues that I have kept locked inside my entire life. These issues had prevented me from truly loving me for who I was and also made it difficult for me to share unconditionally myself with others and the world. Over the next 3 sessions, he and I explored critical moments in my childhood, personal relationships and professional relationships to help overcome those limiting beliefs and also provide me with a clear mission and purpose for my life that I could align my day to day around. The best and most effective aspect to Austin's work is that his intent is to develop short-term engagements with his clients and so there is not that fear of being dragged into a protracted relationship with someone who is just trying to maximize their own payment. From the beginning his goal as was mine was to develop a system that would enable me to be self-sufficient and move forward with my life. Finally, his experiential approach was not only engaging but also effective in getting me to actually "Feel" instead of intellectualize the issues in my life - something I desperately needed. I would unequivocally recommend Austin to anyone and everyone in need of help in their lives especially those in a creative rut that they feel is blocking their true potential! read more

For the past four months, I have been like riding a roller coaster with a strong mixture of excitement and anxiety as I was facing all sorts of challenges on different levels of my life. I seriously needed some serious help and life coaching sounded very right. Only browsed a couple of coaching services on yelp, I'd chosen to email Austin and since then I've been working with him almost every week. I cannot stress enough that during the past couple of months what an exceptional amount of guidance and support Austin have given to help me moving forward through all kinds of obstacles. Often inspired by his amazing knowledge and wisdom, all the time I am deeply moved by the genuine care and love received from him who warms my heart like my own family. There is a tendency for me to stay around him for a longer time if not forever so I can learn from him and be motivated by him more. Only because I felt now it is the time to do some serious inward work that's more direct with myself other than just having a wonderful coach to feel better. I started sensing I am having too much blockages inside of me that it was quite wasteful sometimes to Austin's insightful teaching. I didn't know what I really wanted to do though till Austin again recommended something that I am willing to try next. I cannot wait to work on myself deeper and harder so I can identify and clear out the blockages and become more absorbent to all sorts of teachings this world has to offer. As much as I'm blinded by my own daftness, I truly believe everything happens in our lives for a reason and it is always a good reason. These several years have been the most challenging years in my life, I think; however, I also see that they are all the reasons why I am now on the path of the spiritual learning and keep finding splendid teachers including Austin who remind me I am not alone. read more

I'd just returned to the US after several years abroad, left a relationship, and made a huge leap moving to the Bay Area on my own. I was having a lot of anxiety around interviewing and selling myself and so many changes in such a short period of time. I'd seen a traditional counselor for one session, but didn't feel like our session was very useful. A friend recommended Austin and I was amazed at his presence, compassion, ability to relate and draw meaningful insights out of our session. He definitely holds wisdom beyond his years and has a natural ability to connect and help people. We did a few NLP sessions and were able to transform some issues from my childhood I was caring that were still affecting me and no longer served me. We did another NLP session and dealt with some interesting ancestral issues. I really appreciated Austin's availability when I had a few tough downward spiral moments. He helped me to recenter, get grounded, focus on gratitude, step beyond my comfort zone, and move beyond my limiting beliefs. I'm now working and growing roots in the Bay Area. I'm so grateful for Austin's invaluable help. read more

I had several sessions with Austin. I am a professional advertising photographer, and an artist at heart and unleashing my full creative potential is very scary. Austin helped me process deep internal negative thought patterns in a physical way. A process that had me in tears!!! I'm a chiropractor who is starting a new business. I've been around long enough to know that I need to get the big picture first; a mission statement / vision / purpose before I start getting into the minutia of building a business. Austin coached me through an NLP process that had me get in touch with my deepest, most creative self in a matter of about 30 minutes. (That's fast!) What I came away with was that who I truly am is an "Unconditional Loving Host". Now, no matter what decision I have to make, I always say, "What would the Unconditional Loving Host do?" It has made this whole process connected and meaningful. Austin is one of my most favorite people in the world. He has such an amazing ability to stay calm and centered AND not take himself or others too seriously. His reflections can be sharp as a knife and they can be soft and empathetic. Strong recommendation! read more

I was struggling with a bad case of hives on my face when I met Austin. My hives were so bad the day of our first treatment, I was embarrassed to take off my sunglasses, but he assured me it was safe and put me at ease. Austin emanates compassion, acceptance and a deep desire to help heal. He is an amazing listener and his presence and patience are gifts in themselves. I was able to let my guard down, be vulnerable and experience breakthroughs in just the first session. Austin was a lifeline when I desperately needed one, going above and beyond to help me. I went on to have two more sessions with him and each time I walked away light as a feather. I felt freer, more at peace and connected to my true self and the gifts I have to offer the world. I'm moved and genuinely transformed by my sessions with Austin. Thanks, in large part, to the work I did with him and the practices he taught me, I now not only have a handle on my anxiety and fear, I honestly don't believe my hives will return. I cannot recommend Austin as a coach and healer enough. read more

Austin is hands down the best mentor ive ever had, I was a trouble maker as a kid so believe me I've met my fair share. This man gets on your level. Nobody else does that. I was always being talked down to, almost like a teacher to a student until I met Austin. He is my dear friend now, I've learned so much. Such an open, kind hearted person, and not mistaken for weakness either this man can put you in your place when necessary. While staying respectful and grounded, almost like magic. When we first met I was living a different kind of life. I was going to die young. Period. This man changed my thought patterns, which in turn changed my life style choices, which literally saved my life. I am forever grateful. read more
