Best part are the PR medals. Each week you are judged against yourself and only yourself. If your time is a PERSONAL RECORD (PR) you get recognized at the after party and given a rubber Miely award. These awards mean so much to me because it's more than participation, it's pushing yourself and proof you're improving as a runner. These were such good inspiration when you're only half a mile out and feel the tank on empty, knowing you just need to shave off 5 secs from your previous best. I recommend this group to all ages and abilities. It won't disappoint.

The Good Times 5K Running Series runs every Tuesday night at 7:00 from at the Hookslide Kelly's located at 19 Merrimack Street, in downtown Lowell, MA. All races begin on French Street near Lowell High School (just 1/10th of a mile from the Hookslides) and ends near the beautiful Boarding House Park. The ten week series will feature a different "theme" each week. Runners compete for weekly prizes based on the theme that evening. Runners will also be competing for weekly points that will be counted towards overall series awards (see series scoring). An awards ceremony will be held each week starting at 8:00 PM at Hookslides.

I have read the other reviews and I believe the track owner has as well. It definitely felt like everything mentioned had been added, repaired or replaced. I particularly appreciated the food vendors with many choices for food and drink at a reasonable price no less. While yes this older small track could use some additional upgrades(new asphalt, markers for parking rows, repainting newly replaced bleacher boards). I personally noticed many improvements from the days of old. I believe they even offer a budget friendly $5 Friday once a month. Adults are $17 which is cheap for a regular race night. Hats off to the new owners(not sure how long that is).

This playground is fantastic with colorful structures, different types of slides, swings, ladders and plenty of other cool structures to climb on. Although there is not a toddler specific section, there is a slightly smaller structure where toddlers can certainly play, as well as a couple of toddler swings. The entire play area is situated on soft wood chips and half of the perimeter houses benches, square metal picnic tables with seats on all sides as well as large wooden tables. There is a trash barrel and, near the entrance, a porta potty. There is plenty of parking. This free park closes at dawn. Dogs are NOT allowed.

The putting green is well maintained and presents an array of challenges, with many uneven surfaces and plenty of holes. There's also plenty of parking and the staff is friendly and helpful. The bad: many of the balls at the range (it seemed like half) are in bad shape. They're old, faded, and many are even warped in shape. There is not a separate chipping green, only the sand trap. All in all a fun place to hang out and work on your game.

It is bright and cheery and recently updated in mid 2025. It's his favorite place to go. Katy the owner and her team work extremely hard to meet the needs of all who come through her door. There are various reasonably priced classes and open play times. The kids who come in here do not want to leave. Kids laughter echos throughout the place. There is a great safe long trampoline mat, a safe low zip line, they set up blow house play structures, a climbing wall, gym rings ,ball bin, several balance beams, an area of several new play houses and toys. It is a clean place! Wipe downs do occur regularly. Parents and caregivers are free to go around with their child and also enjoy free coffee if they want. .. It is a joyful experience! Being a mom of 3 very active boys, I couldn't imagine adding one more thing to our schedule but…read morewhen we were introduced to wrestling just over a year ago it became a sport our family couldn't say no to! Now that the Agoge Wrestling Club has opened in our home town and has multiple classes for all my boys we are there almost every night! The coaches dedicate their time and energy to making sure any wrestler who walks through those doors love the sport and know their worth on and off the mats. They incorporate values with teaching them what they need to know on the mat. My boys have learned so much and continue learning every time they go! I can't say enough of the staff who greet us every time with a smile and some Hand Sanitizer and make us feel like we are family! They also have started a Booster Club that runs fundraisers to help the wrestlers pay for the tuition! As a family with multiple kids in the sport that was huge for us! Thank you Agoge for creating a safe, clean and happy place for our kids to want to be at ! Can't wait to see this club grow and become a force to reckon with on the mats!
