Since we got the groupon deal, every course was unlimited except the go kart. We enjoyed every course they offer, except maybe the mini golf. Looked like they are renovating another golf course, and building a new course. The flooring was uneven at the mini golf course. But the kids still enjoyed the mini golf course. The batting cage was a good too. It was fun for kids who like baseball or just hitting the ball because the machine spits baseball/softball out at you. The machine might not be in the best condition but we did make the best out of it. The laser tag was in a small building and we had fun in there. They are pretty good about letting you stay in there longer if no one is around. The go kart was really fun. It felt like the speed was set, and you cannot really go too fast. You also get one free med ice cream with one topping from the groupon. It was too much for 2 people to share that one med ice cream, so we claimed 2 ice creams at a time for 4 of us to share. All four of us enjoyed Mel's Funway. We were there for almost a whole day taking advantage of our unlimited everything. So instead of driving elsewhere for lunch, we ate at the diner there. Surprisingly the food is not bad. We had the stuffed tater tots and it was really good. We shared the ruben and it was not bad. The kids shared a chicken tender meal. Their french fries are good. If we are to go back there again, we will probably get their seafood; it looked like they gave you a big portion.

See photo of website that I checked today. I even had my wife call them to confirm because it is April 23rd and I wasn't sure if the season started yet. No one answers the phone. They just have a recording saying to check their website for days and hours. So we drove there. The ticket booth had a lighted sign that says, "Open" and listed their hours as Noon - 6PM Monday through Sunday starting April 19th but no one was there and many rides had tarps over them. We walked around looking for someone and finally found a person who worked there. They said they are only open on weekends. My wife explained that she called and no one answers the phone. The person said that we should have checked the website for their hours. She said, "We did and it says you are open." As does the lit up sign at the ticket booth! The person said, "Well all the rides are closed and covered with tarps." Anyway, my granddaughter started crying. She was so disappointed because we had told her all about the rides and bounce house and she had been so excited to go. We couldn't go back on the weekend because she was leaving to go back home to Maine on Friday. This place has gone downhill. This is the second time in the last year that it has been closed when it was supposed to be open and I will not subject my grand kids to this nonsense and disappointment, nor will I give my hard earned money to a company with such poor customer service. Save your money and go someplace where they will treat you right!

I wanted very much to give this experience a higher rating than 3 stars. Let's talk about how the…read morerating was arrived at. I prefer to be positive, and so I assume that every establishment starts off with a 5 star rating and has to work hard to knock itself down. 7:15AM: Arrive at New Hampshire Motor Speedway a little earlier than anticipated. Buzzing with excitement. Even driving in the underpass to the track is thrilling. Unfortunately, Rusty Wallace loses 0.5 stars for absolutely shitty signage. It's confusing as to how the heck I'm supposed to find out where I am going, and I worried about accidentally driving the rental car onto the actual race track. Now that I think about it, racing a Kia rental may not have been such a bad thing. So we're at 4.5* now. 7:35AM: Checking in, and realize the whole process is a sales pitch. I suspect this might be how a person feels if they walk into a car dealership and announce that they want to spend lots of money. You are "strongly encouraged" to purchase many add-ons. From extra laps (if I wanted extra laps, I'd have purchased them when I bought my initial package), to an insurance package (they will remind you many times how costly a wreck might be... but forget to point out how many out clauses they give themselves in the insurance package so they won't have to pay up if you wreck), to ride-alongs (because "without one, you won't know what you're doing"). Minus 0.5* there. We're at 4*. 7:50AM: I get suckered into purchasing the in-dash video package. I am informed that the package costs $59 when the information emailed to me indicates that it is $49. The staff member tells me it is because they just added in "new video equipment" which is why the price may be higher. Umm, how about I call bullshit? I got your email 2 days before. I don't think you just installed a video system. Upon presenting the email, she drops the price to $49. I love it when a business makes up arbitrary prices. Minus 1* there. Now at 3*. 8:30AM: The training session is supposed to start at 8AM, but because they are understaffed, everyone sits and waits and waits. Minus 0.5*. 2.5* now. 9:45AM: Finally get out onto the track and race. The experience is everything that you expect it to be and more. An incredible thrill. Plus 1* to 3.5*. Remember the original issue of signage? Well the on-track signage sucks shit too. Rusty Wallace couldn't spring for an extra pylon or two to make it clear where you're supposed to brake? Or another roll of pink tape to mark the passing lanes? Seriously, when I'm driving a NASCAR vehicle, and pissing my pants because I'm afraid of driving into a wall, the last thing I want to worry about is if I can spot the single orange pylon (that is scuffed up, and is now mostly black and camouflages itself nicely with the racetrack wall) to know where I should brake. Minus 0.5* to 3*. So there you have it. 3*. Which is unfortunate because the driving itself was fan-fucking-tastic and would be a 5* by itself.

The first bike was a brand new 2017 Kawasaki Versys X, but it was at their sister dealership in Arlington (Cycles128 doesn't sell Kawasaki). My salesman at the time was Billy, and he was able to have the bike transferred from Arlington to Beverly for me, and I hadn't even put a deposit down on it. yet. This was based on a phone call I had made while on vacation in Costa Rica. Convenient! The whole process was easy, painless, and very relaxed. There was never any pressure or upselling, and it never felt predatory as vehicle sales so often are. Fast forward to just under a year later, and I decided to upgrade to a Suzuki VStrom 650. This time I had the great pleasure of dealing with Ellen Petrilli and Rick Brandano. Yet another chill, great experience. I told them right up front what I was looking for, and with that knowledge, they showed me other alternatives to consider but never discouraging me from my original goal. Their inventory is incredibly vast and a virtual candy store, and I was glad for the other options that were shown to me. I had my heart set on the VStrom, so we got down to business. Worth noting was a little hiccup on Suzuki's part, as their manufacturer website claimed that there were certain accessories included with the bike that tuned out not to be. Not a concern because Rick and C128 were on the case and miraculously got Suzuki to make good on their claim. They didn't have to do that, because most dealerships would predictably claim their hands were tied and just shrug it off. But not these guys. They totally prevailed and saved the day. That I will never forget. The numbers part of the operation was handled by Brad, with whom I had worked with on my prior purchase as well. Another great asset to the company. I now half-expect people to yell "Norm!" when I walk into the place now because I dealt with a lot of people and they're just a warm bunch. Just awesome.
