Cute Korean boutique that offers Thavma brand handbags and clothing wear…read more I was drawn in due to their pretty Christmas lights strewn on the roof and their awesome window displays - the outfits were so whimsical and cute! I particularly liked the long puffy goldenrod colored winter coat and the thick infinity scarf - most of the scarves I've run into are so thin - I love the extra volume! The owner, Ms Lee, was very sweet. She lets you peruse the store and is also available to offer recommendations and suggestions. Don't forget to check often as they always update and expand their clothing selections! Small lot right in the front to park your car!

(not cheap, not super expensive) but worth almost every price tag attached to the items. Best of all...was the lovely and kind boutique owner. Best in store shopping experience in years. The only issue, and this bears no responsibility on the business if you are aware as I am that Korean clothing fashion tends to run in smaller sizes. The largest size in the shop, whether it was a coat or top was just 1 size too small for me...bummer for me.I guess I got off lucky , because I would have spent a lot of money that day. I'm aware that if the inventory starts to carry larger sizing, I'd probably pile a lot of mileage on my car visiting this lovely boutique. For the time being, I can't wait to go back for purses, shoes, and accessories. I was reluctant to share and keep this as a "best kept secret " but my spirit wouldn't allow that. Can't wait to go back ! She may remember me coming in with my husband just before Christmas . Thank you for the awesome experience!

I very rarely leave reviews for anything online, but use them almost everyday, is that bad? Lol…read more Anyway, I had to leave a review for quite possibly the best customer service experience I've ever had. Backstory: I proposed to my then-fiance, now-wife back in April of 2013 and through the course of wedding preparations, decided that I wanted to have a tuxedo made fully bespoke. (I also needed to purchase a few business suits) Years of football and weightlifting had left me with a body that is incompatible with 95% of off-the-rack business and formal clothing. So, I began sampling custom clothiers all around the DC area, and my findings generally lacked the 'Experience' I was looking for. Most tailor shops were impersonal, unreasonably priced, or both. Enter Bryn: He's extremely personable, knowledgeable, accommodating, and took his time to get to know me. The best way to sum it up is that I felt like I was talking to a friend who was doing me a favor as opposed to a business owner selling me a product. During my first appointment in November 2013 at his shop, we discussed his offerings (virtually limitless), my personal style, and then all the necessary measurements were taken. Then I threw him a curveball: I was in the process of cutting bodyfat and informed him that I'd be significantly smaller by the wedding date (March 8, 2014). No sweat, he proposed several fittings over the course of the next few months and would tailor the suit to match the body composition changes. Over the course of those months I had an initial fitting, as well as two subsequent fittings, over which time I lost size in the waist/legs and gained in the back/arms. The tux and suits fit perfectly in each stage, which I thought was amazing. Fast forward to 3 weeks before my wedding, I realized I needed a new tuxedo shirt. I called Bryn, reluctantly because it was so last minute, and asked if he could possibly get one made for me in such a short time frame. Again, no problem, I received the shirt one week before my wedding, and of course it fit perfectly. This consistent level of service and quality of clothing is why I'll be calling on Bryn to provide all of my future custom clothing needs. He's top notch.

I started out replacing my shirts and have slowly started replacing pants, blazers and recently order a few vests. I was quite impressed with the number and variety of fabrics as well as the customizable options from pocket location/type to shirt cuffs to hidden shirt buttons (my favorite). It definitely takes time to figure out what you really want, but that's the beauty of custom. The owner, Bryn Johnson, is very knowledgeable and can help guide you during the process of deciding how you want to item(s) to look. I haven't moved on to suits yet, since I'm not required by my job, but a nice 3 piece suit is next on my ever growing list.

After a short amount of time we were approached by one of the owners in case we needed assistance. I did not need assistance and neither did my wife. Still, we appreciate the offer. I saw one outfit I liked, but my wife doesn't wear skirts or dresses. Something she picked up from her mother. Nevertheless, I liked the dog picture, but will have to imagine someone else wearing in my mind. Guess I will put it on one of my characters, but I digress. There are other items I this store and I only got a glimpse of what is sold here. Still, the staff was friendly and I will pay another visit to this store. I might just find something I could use next time.

Really cute little Korean clothing and accessories boutique!! I'm a fan of Korean style/aesthetic,…read moreand have always wanted to visit one of the little boutiques in Annandale, VA. I ventured in and was wooed to make several lovely purchases by the very attentive shopkeeper! One cool thing is that we discovered we have variants of the same surname! (My husband is half Korean.) It's a relatively uncommon Korean name, so that was pretty neat. I probably wouldn't have bought anything (the items were a bit pricey for my income), but Kum (the nice shopkeeper) gave me discounts after I asked if there were any sale items. I realized that you can definitely barter a bit, especially if it's your first time. They want to make you a repeat customer! I was surprised by the pretty leather handbags. They were a bit too expensive for me, but my eye was caught. They have a variety of colors and styles (more unique than you'll find at TJ Maxx). The clothing was interesting. A lot of the styles were not quite for me (intentionally loose blouses with pretty involved/sparkly patterns), but there were a few that I absolutely loved. I ended up getting two BEAUTIFUL flowy skirts, of very good quality. It's so hard to find delicately made, modest, beautifully worked skirts like these. I bought a blouse that has a lovely pattern (it's a fabric that Kum assured me is sought-after in Korea). I bought the loveliest little tulle scarf (they had a variety of colors...could have bought them all). Kum was constantly checking on me as I was trying things on and brought me tops and bottoms based on what I'd picked out. As a former sales associate for a women's boutique, I can tell you that this strategy WORKS and is actually appreciated by customers who just want a little encouragement (and a little pampering, if I'm being honest!). She even brought me some bold kitten heels...that cracked me up! But I was actually considered some black-and-white striped ones...and I never in a million years would have tried them on without her suggestion. I also bought something I never thought I'd buy...stylish tennis shoes. They're absolutely adorable (see the photo I posted). They were thoughtfully displayed in the fitting room stall (brilliant marketing move, putting attractive handbags and a variety of shoes in there to catch your eye!). They look like they're emulating a designer (I'm not in the know enough to know which one) and are super cute. Kum asked me how I'd found her shop. I had seen a few Korean boutiques while getting amazing authentic Korean comfort food, and did a simple search on Apple Maps for "Korean apparel." There are several other boutiques in the area which I look forward to perusing. She said she would love to attract more visitors who aren't Korean. I told her that I agreed, that I thought lots of ladies would love her store. She asked if I could leave a review and I enthusiastically assented! Visit this store if you want to spend an afternoon imagining what it would be like to shop in Korea! Don't worry...prices are displayed in USD, not Korean won. ;) There's something for everyone here, and I bet you'll be asked where you found your purchase!

Although they are located in Annandale, they were able to come all the way up to Frederick, MD to set up a beautiful ceremony space, help out with getting dressed in traditional Korean attire, and provide instructions on how to conduct the ceremony. We visited the store a few months before our wedding and we were able to choose which traditional clothes that we would be wearing, and practiced how to bow during the ceremony. The owner can speak some English, but it may help to have someone who can speak Korean present. Like I said, she can come almost anywhere to help provide everything you need for the Pyebaek ceremony. She helps the bride and groom get ready by making sure the clothes are correct, and fixes the brides hair in a bun with accessories. She also helps with the bowing to make sure the bride doesn't fall, since the attire can be a bit heavy, and helps to pour the tea/soju that the couple gives to their family members. She is there with you every step of the way, so all you need to do is follow her lead and she will take great care of you. Everyone loved the Pyebaek ceremony of our wedding, and I'm sure your guests will love it if you choose Rose Bedding to help with the Pyebaek for you.

It is strongly encouraged to use a Korean-speaking friend/family member to go with you. We shopped around at another place but this place just seemed friendlier. They provided EVERYTHING - the clothes, tables, decorations, backdrop, tea, food, and are there during your ceremony to usher you through the customs. All you do is show up. They provided beautifully plated food requisite for the ceremony although you could also get the fake version as well. There are several women's and men's hanbok designs and accessory options to chose from. She will teach the couple how to bow gracefully in preparation for the ceremony. She will tie the bride's hair into a bun so that she can fit it with traditional accessories and finish her off with two bright pink circle stickers. The owner did a fantastic job and made the ceremony stress free. They also sell home good products straight from Korea - so it is a little pricey but is authentic and of quality.
