TMy therapist is good and I would recommend him. But the system is awful. They are too booked but slots open all the time. I told my therapist a list of times that would work and the next day I was offered an appointment, but it came via text while I was asleep and the offer expired within the hour. Yet I had told my therapist that I wanted to see him at any time after a certain hour on the same day for the rest of the month and he had passed that information ion. But rather than schedule with me and ask me to confirm, they sent an offer that expired in about an hour before Could they really not keep an appointment slot open for a day or half a day two weeks before that date which I could accept. Were they afraid they would have. I one who wanted the slot unless it was immediately filled. Moreover, I don't always have my phone with me or look at texts immediately when they arrive. Other times offered are often at 7:30 a.m. which I cannot do, but I cannot tell their system to stop offering these.
And don't try to call to talk to a person. Their call volume is always " higher than normal." And if you hold rather than request a call back, they assume you can't remember a thing as they cycle through the same messages with maybe 15 seconds of music quiet in between. Once the messages have been played quiet or music interrupted every 90 seconds or so to affirm that you are still connected would be fine. They have a call back option but it says that business day! Suppose you don't want to wait until as late as 5 p.m. to talk to someone. At least tell callers where they are in line so that they can decide whether to hold or get a call back with some relevant information. Better still, hire enough staff so that phone call volume is not always " higher than normal." There is a new term going around"enshitification" to describe how excessive use of AI, inescapable messages, rarely needed add ons, and the like are ruining products and web sites. Inova is doing its best to be a leader in this movement. It doesn't have to. It should listen to its patients and customers. read more
