I had some electrical outlets moved in my home office and during this project, one of the electricians drilled into a drainage pipe from the bathroom on the other side of the wall. I wasn't going to complain because they had a plumber come out to fix this, however, there was zero communication between the administration here and it's contractors and/or employees. The plumber tried to charge me for the fix until I insisted this was on Innovative Solar Power to correct. They spoke on the phone after I insisted and it was taken care of. A week later I finally had an employee come out to restore the electricity to the outlet and do the drywall fix. When the employee got here, he had literally no idea why he was at our house. Nobody communicated to him what the job was, it was very much an afterthought. So now, he restored the electrical and does a mediocre job with the drywall because "he's not a drywall guy". Now, I am going to have to spackle this wall, texturize it and paint it. The only reason I am now leaving this review is because of lack of thought and effort around doing quality work for a mistake this company made. I absolutely do not trust them to do quality work now and won't be using them next year for our projects as a result. I am likely going to have a new electrician come out just to re-examine the work done in my office. This whole experience was asinine. read more

I have never conducted any type of business with this company. However, I am giving "Innovative Solar Power" 5-stars/5- thumbs up because of their quick response time & their detailed & honest price quote (these attributes & others have become very rare & scarce to experience). Thank you Innovative Solar Power for your quick response time & your detailed & honest price quote. All the very best! read more

Mike and Pablo did an excellent job at installing recessed lights and wiring a 240v outlet for an EV charger in my home. My husband and I recently bought a house that was in desperate need of a refresh, especially for lighting. They came out for a walkthrough estimate on 6/8/22 and started working the very next day. They installed recessed, dimmable lighting throughout the entire house, was extremely responsive when it came to requested communication of placement, did a great job at cleaning up, and they even did rough patches to the walls/ceilings. In total it took about 2.5 business days to complete the job and gave extremely fair pricing, where other companies were trying to charge an arm and a leg. I would definitely recommend Innovative Solar and will be using their services in the near future. read more

This review is for Pedro. If you can, request Pedro for your electrical jobs! He was friendly, communicative and made sure he checked in with us as he completed stages (to be sure we were satisfied, lights were aligned where we wanted etc). He had a complex job to run a new line from the front to the back with no attic + install two hanging chandeliers. He finished on time with a smile, cleaned up and the work looks great. read more

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! My wife and I hired In Innovative Solar to move and upgrade our panel and instal a car charger among other things. Alejandro came for the estimate and did a great job and communicated everything well. Was also on time. So we went with them for our project. They collected 10% to pull permits and get SDG&E on board. Then they got the date wrong. So they were supposed to come out the next day. Ok, whatever. The next morning SDG&E was there to move the cable and told me the box should've already been installed. After sever calls I finally got in touch with Sophia. She said they'd try to come install the box later. That means we have to wait another TWO MONTHS for SDG&E to come out AGAIN. They never showed that day and have been ghosting me ever since. Weeks of phone messages have not been returned. Now I have to get my $1,000 back. read more

Firstly I'd like to say that the technician Alejandro was very good. He was kind, knowledgable, honest, reliable and kept a clean workplace always covering up the rooms where he cut drywall, etc. Mike also worked in the home and he was very good too. Now for the egregious, outrageous part. So the work was for Innovative to cut some holes in several rooms and install integrated LED lights in the cut outs. For the rest of the house were I already had cut outs I would do the replacement myself and I told Innovative wanted to match the lights with the same type of lights that they were installing elsewhere, so I asked them if they could add those 22 lights at cost, they said sure. Next thing you know I'm looking at a $2200 estimate (shown below) for those 22 lights. I then looked up the cost of the identical lights at home depot $210 (for 24 lights). A markup of 1000% (markup = profit/(cost * 100%)). Anyway I demanded to speak to Adriana (I think this is the name of the lady who does the estimates), where she gave me a bogus explanation how they have costs associated with keeping parts in the warehouse, plus costs for the technician having to drive the parts to my house (a drive he had to do anyway), she seemed completely indifferent to the fact I was really pissed. Note that I had expected to pay a slight markup, but honestly I'm not even sure US military contractors in Afganistan - who have cart blanche to spend money - even markup anywhere to this extent, simply put this kind of a markup cannot be explained away. Perhaps the only way it can be explained away is if they incubated the LED much like a penguin does with its egg, nurtured the LED for a full antarctic winter and then delivered the LED to me nice and warm..... This was price gouging of the very worst kind. read more

They were a NO SHOW. First the young lady/receptionist was very courteous and responsive. She scheduled the appointment. Explained the fee (69.95) for showing up and I agreed. An hour after the set time, crickets. No one showed up. I texted and she replied that a technician would be calling me. The technician did call , I heard kids in the background and he said it would cost me 195 dollars, sight unseen. 130 dollars more. So that being the case, I cancelled. If you have the resources/charges to pay for this type of varying behavior from 2 employees from the same company, good for you. Below is the actual message I sent to the young lady. "Some guy called and didn't say anything about the showing up fee and quoted 195 for the install. Please cancel sending anyone. My review will reflect exactly that as well. You were very responsive, your techs have issues..." read more

I had a breaker for a garage circuit that had started repeatedly tripping, and then started buzzing. I had checked the terminal screws for looseness myself and had tried to get the breaker out to change it, but couldn't get it out. I was afraid the breaker had welded to the bus and that I was looking at replacing the panel. I yelp-requested a bunch of electricians, and all seemed pretty sure they could get it out, and all wanted at least a $175 fee to come out, with varying hourly rates after that + materials. Except for Innovative Solar, and one other company that also does free estimates but was booked until Monday. Mike and Pedro arrived near the end of the agreed-upon time window, I explained the situation to them, and we agreed on $100 for them to replace the breaker, since I was providing the new one and there would be no warranty. It would have been over $200 if they had supplied the breaker, so most likely pretty comparable to the other guys. Mike and Pedro were a joy to interact with. I watched as they EASILY removed the breaker (I had been trying to hinge it the opposite direction), and with GREAT EFFORT loosened the termination screws -- those things were in solid. They showed me the char on the breaker and the bus bar contacts where there had been arcing, filed the bus bar contact smooth, freshened up the wires, and put everything back together. We talked about options if I get tripping again, and Mike thinks we could get a replacement bus bar in San Diego. Other options would include replacing the panel (which in O'side means trenching) or adding a subpanel. I've got the fridge and garage door opener plugged in and the air conditioner on again. Hoping this has done the truck. read more

Just moved into a new house about a year ago and it's totally jerry rigged, especially the power. I called Innovative Solar Power Inc to come take a look at my setup. Since I have little knowledge of power I was worried that I would be taken advantage of. However the technician named Mike came in and did a full investigation. He identified all my issues and categorized them for me from most critical to least. I have been able to work through this list with Innovative Solar Power for the last year. Their pricing has been fair and every time they take good care of us. Job site is always clean and they always work safely and on time. The receptionist answered the phone right away. I told her about the issues with my solar system, she said no problem we have a opening tomorrow (today) at 8am. I was pleasantly surprised how quick they can come out. I made some arrangements so I could be here at 8 am. She said tech would text me. Never heard from him. 8am came and went. No problem, I know things happen... 9:30 I called to see if he's coming. Receptionist promptly answered and said she'd look into it and get back to me. Never heard another word. I was pleased with the service. I had ghem come out to take a look at two outlets that were not working in the garage. As well as fix a few other outlets in the house. They needed to charge around $400 to run a test to see what was wrong with the outlets in the garage. And we're unable to identify the problem nor fix it. But they were able to fix a few other issues in the house. The electrician was friendly and approachable. But was surprised to find that he did not wear gloves almost the entire time. And I am almost positive he did shock himself at one point while working on an outlet. But again they got most of the work done. And were very friendly and were able to come out the next day. read more

Our parking lot lights were old and burned out at the Church parking lot. To improve safety in the evening we wanted to upgrade these lights to LED lights before the time change. When I contacted the company, they responded quickly and came to our location to review our needs. I agreed to a charge for them to generate an estimate for the project. I also got an estimate from another firm and Innovative Solutions was less expensive and available within a week to do the work. Alejandro was the technician who did the work. He communicated well with us and kept us in the loop with the project. He arrived a little late to begin the project but work diligently to complete it within a reasonable time period. He did a great job. The final charges were in line with the quote. The only issue was that they wanted payment immediately upon completion of the job. After some discussion they agreed to submit a invoice to our bookkeeping department and we were able to get them a check within a week. The only communication issue was with their office. The phone was not answered very well and there seemed to be a lot of background noise. In the end they were reasonable priced, prompt with their service and completed the work at the agreed upon price. I would use them again for future work. read more
