He also didn't try to push us for upgrades or anything like some trades or business owners are known to do, so that it would work within our budget. Great work from Chris and Justin who took care of my dual meter and 200amp service upgrade project for my rental property that I added a detached ADU. They did all the scheduling with SDG&E and city inspector. Their work passed the city inspection and now I got my 2 meters and a subpanel inside the garage that they transferred all the circuit from the old panel. They also gave me the lowest bid out of 5 contractors I contacted. Have used them twice once to do a stop gap fix due to our kitchen microwave being on the same circuit as basically the whole house. They were able to get the fix in so I could live until we could put the microwave on its own circuit. I always get three estimates for any job I have done on my house. I look for good reviews, value, licensing and warranty and McWay Electric fit the bill. One major pet peeve of mine is unresponsive customer service. Though, McWay was a little more expensive, I did get a discount, than who I originally chose, I went with this company because they actually got back to me.
