My wife and I went down to consult with Traci at Innovative Marble Solutions. While I was initially considering renovating my master bath with quartz, my contractor suggested talking with Traci at Innovative Marble Solutions. It was good getting the nuances about a solid surface product like Corian for the counter and shower area versus quartz or tile, such as sealing the product, especially, as it looks seamless versus worrying about tile/quartz of grout lines, colors of the grout. The solid surface color and design looked as modern as quartz/cultured marble (which Traci also carries). What was factors about deciding on what product to use. The cutting of solid surface versus quartz and sizes also makes a difference about cost as well, which are factors for some considering renovation/construction. Traci was also good at reminding us about the shower, placement of fixtures, such as a bottle of shampoo/conditioner, foot/bench/seat location, pony walls for enclosing the stall and width/length as one showers and needs assistance getting in and out. Powerful factors that as one ages, the needs of the family using the shower is not just aesthetically appealing, but realistically functional as well. Even the floor of the shower could be Corian or other material but as we age along with soap, thinking how the slippage factor for safety of users, handrails were discussed. I was glad to talk with Traci and while it complicates some things, it does enlighten us to make a decision that once completed, will be something lasting. The location of the shop is not easy, but it is worth the trip to get a diverse selection of choices. read more
