I have purchased many homes over the years, and Criterium-McWilliam Engineers turned out to be the WORST home inspection I've ever had. The inspector, David Taylor, was very polite, however, he missed some major issues with the home. This has resulted in thousands of dollars worth of repairs, and we are still uncovering issues. The issues that were missed, are issues that other professionals were able to visually identify in minutes and those professionals have each stated "this should have been caught in your home inspection". We gave Criterium the opportunity to make things right, and they made matters worse. They wasted our time just to write a response which had the sole intention of ensuring they were not liable. They truly do not care about the clients. Had they owned up to their mistakes and taken responsibility, this review would have been much different. I hope no one else makes the mistake we did.....do NOT use this company! Double the price and double the issues/worries/repairs.

STAY AWAY FROM KUBOTA & ASSOCIATES! We reached out to Kubota & Associates to come and assess broken…read moretrusses in the attic of a newly purchased home. We agreed on the amount of $750 to come out for an assessment, followed by a detailed report of repairs needed, and if we decided to have their company do the repairs the $750 would go towards the cost of the repairs. John came out within a few days, took some pictures and said he would send the comprehensive report later that week. After a week of waiting we called them for an update to which his secretary said he would be unable to start writing the report without receiving payment in full. We immediately provided payment information and had to wait another week before we received a 1 page pdf document with illegible hand written random notes and drawings of where some additional nails should be added. When we called to 1) get clarification on what needed to be done and 2) align on the repairs that the $750 would go towards he wasn't available. After half a dozen calls, messages, and emails with ZERO response we are moving forward with a charge back. We also plan to report them to the better business bureau of Nevada.
