I ended up getting a variety of different gummy candies including skittles gummies and sweet tart gummies. We also picked up a couple drinks. We both have serious health problems and complicated medication schedules. At one point in my life, I was taking 33 different prescribed pills every day. Some were taken in the morning, some with meals, some later in the day, and others at bedtime. Trying to organize all of that myself would have been confusing, exhausting, and potentially dangerous. Carmichael LTC made it simple with their bubble packs. The medications are organized according to the time of day they need to be taken. The packaging includes a medication list, pictures and descriptions of the pills, brand and generic names, prescribing doctors, refill information, and clear instructions. When you wake up in a morning fog, you do not have to stare at 33 bottles and figure out what belongs where. You simply open the morning pack and take it. That convenience brings tremendous peace of mind. For years, they have stayed on top of our prescriptions and refills. They contact our doctors when necessary and usually deliver our medications several days before we run out. They have handled pills, injections, liquids, eye drops, and just about everything else we have needed. This is not a giant, impersonal chain pharmacy. It is a small and dedicated group of people who know their customers and take pride in their work. Saira, the owner, leads a wonderful team. Her assistant, Hala, is truly exceptional. Alex is fantastic on the phone, and the staff normally answers immediately or very quickly. She delivers through rain, heat, and whatever else the weather brings. Our dogs come running out to sniff her and jump around, and she always takes a moment to greet them and make them feel special. There is also something uniquely personal about a pharmacy that provides medications for every nook and cranny of my 27-acre body! They know things about your health that only family normally knows! Because of the intimate and important position they hold in our lives, we consider Saira, Hala, Amanda, Alex, and the rest of the team part of our family. Of course, everyone is human, and an occasional minor mistake can happen anywhere. What matters is how quickly and responsibly it is handled. In all our years with Carmichael LTC, they have consistently provided accurate, dependable service without any major or life-changing problems. Prescription after prescription and year after year, they continue to shine. They have earned our trust, our gratitude, and our loyalty. The produce section is well stocked, but sell out of certain items if you don't arrive early. Daily they put their deli items and pizzas/ salads on clearance and those go quick! The customer service is always great and the staff is super helpful. The item locked up in shelves you never have to wait forever for someone to come help you unlike other Walmarts. It's definitely not this the bigger Walmarts, but it gets the job done for the things I always need.

Since that first referral I have been regularly getting medicine for one of my pets there, and have even requested another pet's prescriptions be sent over to them. The staff and pharmacists are exactly who you want on your side when you are dealing with the complexities of medicating pets. And what is cool about this pharmacy is that they don't just cater to pets, but they compound for humans AND animals. After my experiences with them, I would definitely request prescriptions for myself, or my family, to be sent to them, too! They have gone above and beyond, to help me get the right type, and quantity, of medication for my pets. And because of that professionalism and care, I will continue to go to them for my guys' compounding needs. For some context: for years, I had tried to use pills for my guys. I'd give them whole pills, placed them in edible pockets, crushed them up, mixed them in with wet food and broths -- it didn't matter. It was ALWAYS a hassle. And while yes compounded medication will cost a little more than buying tablets directly from the vets. Remember: you are paying for a professionally made solution, designed to taste appetizing for your pet (if given orally) or to be easily administered externally (transdermal). The price is nothing compared to avoiding the likelihood of unintentionally traumatizing your pet, and yourself, when you try to do it on your own. Make it easier on them and on you, it is worth paying a little bit now to save everyone on the chaos in the long-term. And if you have a pet that has a chronic condition, you're going to want to make medicine-time as smooth as possible, because it's going to be a regular part of having them in your life. In the end, there is nowhere else I would rather go. If I were to move out of this area, I would still have my guys' medication sent to Professional Village Compounding Pharmacy, they are worth the drive. They are worth your business. If you need something for your pets or your loved ones, or yourself, this is where you want to go.
