Cool pub to hang after a long day of work, the drink prices are great. I'll definitely bring my friends over again! Service was great too.

Cool old classic and cluttered dive bar. Innertown Pub is a kind of bar that's hard to find any more. Lots of cheap drinks and cheap decorations all about, with a pool table. Fun just looking around at it. They're cash only. Bars like this are going away. It's more popular to pay too much for mediocre drinks and bad music. This is a classic neighborhood bar located in Ukrainian Village. It's a little better than a dive bar. Too clean even with the clutter on the walls. Has lots of cheap beer. It's about $9 for a strong cocktail. The bar is bigger than it looks, with a few pool tables. Fun neighborhood bar. It's just drinks but you can bring in some food. This bar is cash only, so remember to put some money in the wallet.

    So glad it's open again!!!

So glad this neighborhood gem is back open! Great drinks. Bartender is so nice! The patio isn't open anymore. Great place for pool and darts. Great dive bar feel with good drinks and service! Cash only but they do have an atm if needed.

Had a great time here free pool and darts and friendly locals. They have a patio as well. Great beer selection

A classic Chicago dive bar, with the perfect ambiance and beer selection. Add in the classic cork dartboard and you've got yourself one heck of an afternoon! We had a couple beers, and even enjoyed the back patio - nice to have some fresh air to balance out the dive bar vibes :) strongly recommend! A fifth star would've been earned had the first three beers I tried to order been available / taps not empty. Cheers!

Innertown Pub is the bar-next-door that we all need in our lives. If you're tired of the wild drinking spots in Wicker Park, head a few blocks south to the quieter residential Thomas Street and look for the corner building with the vintage sign that says "Home to the Arts." Full disclosure: I visited this place on a Sunday night, so I can't speak to how crazy it gets on Fridays and Saturdays. But when I got there it was moderately busy and quiet enough to hear The Avengers playing on the TV. I enjoyed the eclectic, chill atmosphere of the place. Cash only... free pool... free ginger ale... plus, the friendly pub dog wanders around seeking your affection. It seems like Innertown was going for an Elvis Presley theme with its statues of the King everywhere, but then it got high and said, "Hey, this Mona Lisa print is cool too. And this American flag. And this wooden owl collection." Between the mish-mash of decorations and the low fairy lighting, Innertown encapsulates the mellow, no-cares-given vibe that Wicker Park is all about. If you'd rather listen to music than shoot pool, you're in luck too. On Wednesdays Innertown has "New Wave Wednesdays," an all vinyl DJ night that starts at 9 PM. Check it out and let me know how it is! Read more reviews like this at www.sarahthedoer.com.

Incredibly unique dive bar that will likely stand the test of time here in the city. Great drinks, special vibes, and authentic core.

I scanned the QR code and went to the bathroom. As I walked back there, I noticed there were 4 open spots at the bar and there were 6 2-top tables set up, which was confusing because there was a 45 minutes wait. Walking back from the bathroom I thought I would ask the bartender if the seating at the bar was also reserved by through the waitlist. I walked up ( did not attempt to sit down as that part of the bar was not clean) and the bartender started rudely saying "have you spoken to the host " I said yes but I had a question, and she continuously said " you have to speak to the host." I told her that I just had a question for her then she rudely said again "sometimes we use this as seating so-rry." My partner and I decided to leave after that. I had never been treated that way in my life. I open my mouth to say something and I couldn't because I was rudely interrupted. I felt like I was hurried out of the area. After being here countless times before and exploring the menu with friends and family, I don't think I will ever come back as this left a bad taste in my mouth. It's hard to go back when you feel you were discriminated against. My partner and I felt like we were that night as the attitudes and behaviors from the bartender and hostess were rude.

After leaving the symphony, we wanted somewhere nearby to grab a meal and have a good conversation, so we ended up at Miller's Pub at 134 S. Wabash. My colleague had made a reservation, but honestly, it didn't seem necessary, you can easily walk in. Miller's Pub is a longtime Chicago staple, and we were seated quickly. The space is much larger than it appears, with a classic Irish pub feel and an antique charm that gives it a lot of character. Our server was enthusiastic, attentive, and very accommodating throughout the night, which we appreciated. Food-wise, we ordered a variety of dishes. I kept it simple with a salad topped with carrots and chicken, it was just okay, nothing particularly memorable. One of my colleagues ordered a chicken sandwich, and another got what might have been the most massive fish tender I've ever seen. If I ate fish, I definitely would've tried it, and she said it was really good. Unfortunately, what really impacted our experience was the atmosphere. There was a choir conference happening nearby, and a large group of attendees came into the pub and started singing, loudly and continuously, throughout the evening. While it was entertaining for the first couple of songs, it quickly became overwhelming and disruptive. It didn't seem like other patrons were enjoying it either, there was little to no engagement or applause, and I found myself wishing the staff had stepped in to tone things down a bit. I understand that a bar environment can bring in all kinds of energy, but this went on far too long and really took away from the experience we were hoping to have. Based on the food alone, I'd give Miller's Pub 3 out of 5 stars. But factoring in the overall experience, it's closer to a 2.5 out of 5 for me.

I had been wanting to try Industry Ales when it opened and was glad to have had the opportunity to finally check it out! I was slightly thrown off, as the dining tables are at the front of this space, and the bar is all the way at the back. In fact, my friend at first glance thought it was a sit-down dining establishment sans bar seating. We found our way to the bar and posted up at two seats. We were offered menus right away and found the bartender extremely knowledgeable. This was super helpful when facing down an encyclopedia of ales. He offered samples when we explained what we were looking for. That is service above and beyond, especially on a bustling Friday early evening. The brews were tasty, but I couldn't really discern what I was drinking apart to say it was a lighter Belgian Ale. Wine is more in my wheelhouse, but always good to change things up, especially when a person has the opportunity to be guided by an expert. The people seated nearby had ordered the tuna tartare which looked delicious. In fact, all of the menu is globally influenced (think: pizza samosas, pierogis, Korean BBQ) in addition to the classic brewpub favorites. In addition to the Brewpub, this location features the Millroom, a speakeasy-style lounge. I did not have a chance to check that out on this visit. Definitely a cut above the usual sports bar and a place to expand one's knowledge of brews.

Pro Tip: if you can tolerate a large quantity of fish, visit on a Wednesday for their AYCE Fish & Chips. I've had many hum drum AYCE dinners that are drab and only fill you up. Not this one. It's a great meal and a great deal. The Shepherd's Pie was fabulous, as was the Bangers and Mash. They've created a Haggis Burger that has to appease Americans, yet, still be haggis.
