Jenn is FABULOUS. I had such a wonderful experience with her. She is so talented, sweet, and professional. I had a genuinely good time while I was there! For the tattoo process specifically- Jenn has a light hand and was super attentive to my comfort level. She made me feel so comfortable to ask to change positions to get more comfy or to take a quick break. The environment of the shop in general is so friendly and all the other artists were super cool and made me feel right at home. And of course, for the tattoo itself- it is easily my favorite out of my 25+ tattoos. Jenn's style, line work and coloring work is incredible. I am absolutely in love with this piece and I get compliments on it basically daily. I cannot wait to come back and get more from her!

I've been a returning customer, after initially finding this shop about a year or so ago. I've used artists Sandy and Lucas. Both who are personable and do amazing work. I stopped in today for touch ups on both my left and right hand from Lucas, as well as a few smaller additions to my hands, back of ear and bicep. The shop as always, is clean and all of the artists are extremely welcoming. If you're looking for your next tattoo, this is the place to go to! I wouldn't hesitate to get work done by any of their artists! They do take walk ins, but it's best to do a consultation and set an appointment date as they can get pretty busy. Don't hesitate to stop in! Only good vibes here.

Parking lot clear, obviously due to covid. Walked in and waited due to customers before me. Every artist had someone in their chair. Open stations, neat and CDC guidelines in order. I'm so grateful to have found this shop! A few days ago, I was on a mission to get tattooed and this shop ending up meeting my needs and then some. I initially expected to only get a consultation, spoke with Sandy (who was very kind and personable), who then referred me to Damien (the owner) to get a better understanding of what I wanted. The shop was clean organized and had sanitizer available for use, which I appreciated. Damien was so kind, patient and really listened to what I wanted. I got super lucky and was able to have him as my artist that same day! He made sure the placement was exactly what I wanted before getting started and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. I have been coming to Innerlight for years now. I have a full sleeve that I started and finished here. This shop is amazing. It's like a second home. You instantly feel welcome from the "Hello" when you walk in the door. The artists are passionate and a level above the rest. I have never seen a bad tattoo come out of this shop. The founder and owner, Damien, is the kindest person and a master of his craft. All my tattoos were done by him and I couldn't be happier or more proud of them. Damien is AMAZING, his art, his attention to detail, his eye for color. He always ends up creating something phenomenal. I've come back several times for little things, but Im hoping to get a big piece done sometime soon. The shop itself is neat, clean, well-lit, and looks super professional. Innerlight Tattoo is literally one of the best, cleanest, most professional tattoo shops in Southern California. I've been to many others, and this one is head and shoulders above. The level of talented artists is extraordinary. The way Damien runs the shop is impressive. They're always busy, they're always professional. They work as a team and as individuals their talent really shows. Everything about the shop is well organized and top drawer. Damien has done some significant pieces on me as I work towards sleeving my left arm. The level of detail, pure artistic talent, and craftsmanship is amazing. I've had nothing but great experiences there, and each time I go in it's the same. Not to write a novel here, but this shop is something special. Clearly reflecting the nature of the owner, and his desire to have everyone happy with the work, both artists and clients. Just haven't seen this kind of vibe in any of the many shops in SoCal. First time getting my tattoo and I could not have asked for a more perfect experience! Damien was incredible from the moment we approached him with the concept of my tattoo and was very thorough throughout the entire process. The time he took to analysis the tattoo and ensure my vision matched his understanding was top notch. He was very professional, very clean, and very focused on his job. He was very welcoming and made sure that all questions were answered and that I was comfortable. I not only plan on coming back, but also plan to share with all who ask where and who I got this tattoo from. It's only been a few days, but I, on more than one occasion have had crowds of people asking about my new tattoo and that speaks volumes for the work he did! The place was very clean, open and bright! Had nothing but LED lighting, it is obvious this place maintains high standards for their working environment, and relationships! read more

Best tattoo shop in the whole wide world!!! Full of great people, great artwork, and great atmosphere. The artists are so talented and friendly! They are pretty busy though. You can tell they take pride in their work and give you the best possible experience. I've noticed they treat their clients with respect and care and give excellent service. I've found it's best to make an appointment with the artist you like most. Usually they have a wait time of 1-4 weeks depending on who you choose, but the wait is well worth it! Once you get tattooed here I highly doubt you will go anywhere else! I wish I could give 10 stars! read more

Just sat through my first tattoo ever with Damien. It was such an amazing experience! He was so kind and patient listening to my ideas, willing to look at photos. He has a very calming voice and demeanor which puts you at ease. He explained everything and even opened the needle he was going to use right in front of me so that I would know it was sterile. My vision came to life before my eyes. He has amazing technique especially for delicate fine lines. I couldn't be happier with the result! Visited this location without an appointment after researching online I heard a guy by the name of Alex is the best here but he was full booked at the time I arrived so he recommended another artist to me and babe by the name of maricsco I think LOL that was able to take us right away he was cool both that friendly and we did feel a little over charged but it was ok read more

My hubs and I headed to Hermosa to get tattooed but there was a huge fair and streets were closed. Way too much work. So, we turned to the trusty Yelp and found Innerlight. At the time of this review they've been open about a month, and have 15 reviews, all 5 stars. Now here I am adding the 16th 5 star review. David did mine and Lucas did my husband's. They both took their time, helped us focus our ideas to tangible designs, and are just good guys! Their knowledge of what works and what doesn't was a huge help. The space is clean, industrial, minimalistic. Tons of free parking. Reasonable pricing. Yelp didn't let us down in finding this new gem. Go there! read more

I cannot stress enough of how this place is one of the best places to get a tattoo from. All of the artists are friendly, hilarious and kind towards every single customer. My boyfriend and I get his done by Mau, and he is just awesome! He is very professional and wonderful at what he does. Mau completed two of my boyfriend's tattoos and he is incredibly satisfied. This was my first experience getting a tattoo so I have nothing to compare it to. All I have are my impressions and the perfect tattoo. I had scoped out other shops in the area but upon entering them I felt like there was a kind of clique that I didn't belong to. Like walking into a locals bar and getting that cold stare. Or the fact that the girl in front is obviously high. For sure, I'm older and don't already have tattoos, but I've just never felt comfortable in a shop. Until now. Innerlight is a very clean, minimalistic space where I was treated well. It feels like a graphic studio and I immediately felt at ease. I had looked at yelp reviews prior to going and all those 5 star reviews are the real deal. The price, quality, and experience were all better than I had anticipated. Dave ended up doing my tattoo. He asked questions and listened to what I said but also didn't hesitate to tell me what the realities of tattooing are. We ended up with a simple but effective design. It's exactly what I wanted. All the artists here have many years of experience and it shows. Also, Damien, who owns the shop was very kind and wanted to make sure that I was happy. I'm beyond happy! read more

I've been going to Damien for my tattoos for years. He is the only tattoo artist I will ever go to. He's super sweet and incredibly talented. He is so kind, and so dedicated, and passionate about his work. He pretty much completely made the entire shop inside and out all by himself and it looks amazing. Got my koi done by Nico. I really hated my old tattoo and he did a clean cover up. Good lines and nice pressure, so I know it will stay and not fade. Clean needles. Clean set up. Clean restrooms. Overall clean building. Great communication. Up to date look. I'm really happy I chose this place & I plan on doing the rest of my tattoos here. 10/10 read more

I would give 10 stars if I could!! I've been going to Damien for years. I recommend him to absolutely anyone that asks me about my tattoos. I've followed him from a few different shops and refused to go see anyone else now! This shop is AMAZING. so beautiful and clean and open (not cramped and squashed like some shops) you can really tell Damien has put his heart and soul into opening this place. I've gone to Damien for everything from big pieces where we sat for hours to tiny ones to amazing cover ups. I trust him with any style or idea I throw at him. Such a sweet, talented, amazing guy. I decided to give myself my first tattoo last year. I searched for a tattoo parlor nearby with good Yelp reviews and found Innerlight. I went there on December 2nd, had my tattoo, and paid $600 for it. After almost 30 days of recurring pain and no signs of healing (following all directions that were given to me), I went to 2 different dermatologists and started using some prescriptions but nothing seemed to work. Now, almost 60 days later, I found out that the tattoo artist went too deep into my skin leading to weird bumps and wrinkles (besides the constant pain). To Innerlight credit, they offered to redo the broken parts of my tattoo (it looks pretty bad) but, from what I researched with dermatologists and other tattoo experts I'll never have my skin back to normal since now it's just a big scar in my arm. The experience was frustrating and regretful. read more

I have had two tattoos done by Damien and they have come out better than i could have ever expected. He is amazing at getting your idea into a perfect tattoo. Hes super helpful with getting the drawing to what you want and hes just all around a great guy.
