I'm pretty neutral with my review since I wasn't able to get my tattoo. Came here for Friday the 13th flash sale. Was planning on getting a tattoo with my niece since she was visiting. We arrived and scanned the QR code but the wait was over two hours. Which is a good sign of course. We asked the young lady who was at the entrance and she stated the sale was going to be extended until the weekend so we can always come back. We went the next day and unfortunately were told the minimum for a tattoo would be 100 bucks. When the flash sale started at 50 to 150 I believe. We wanted really small tattoos so we ended up not getting them. Sucks cause we would've waited if the receptionist didn't give us the wrong info. Place was clean, they had comfy couches to sit on, their work looks good. They do have apprentices I believe as well. Huge parking lot. read more

Came here for the Friday the 13th event and got a flash! The sign-up sheet was clear and straightforward and there were so many designs to choose from. I love that the designs were displayed on the windows versus loose sheets of paper on tables like others. My artist was Jay and he was very helpful throughout the whole experience. He was light-handed too so the pain was super manageable. The wait was long due to the event but you get a call once you're next. Highly recommend and will be coming back! read more

Came here for the Friday the 13th event and left extremely frustrated. The signage outside gave two different sets of instructions: one to join the waitlist QR code and another saying you could skip the line by prepaying at the front desk. I clearly asked if the prepay was for that night (Friday), not for a future appointment, and was told yes. I followed the email instructions they gave and input everything exactly as listed. Then I was told by someone else at the front desk that the prepay doesn't apply for that night, and I'd get an email next week for an appointment -- completely different info. I asked if I was still good since I was already on the waitlist and prepaid, and was told yes and that I'd get a text when I was up next. We waited over four hours and still got nothing. When I went back up, they said they were closing and not taking anyone else. The worst part is that the prepay posting said no refunds, so we really had no choice but to wait it out. We don't live in the area, and Friday was the only day we could do this. They knew that and still gave us the runaround. Not once did they clarify anything properly, just excuses, different answers, and a total waste of time. If you're going to host an event, communicate clearly and stick to what you post. The whole point of Friday the 13th tattoo events is to show up and get tatted that day, not set up an appointment for a future date. Never again. read more

I have visited the Alhambra location so I was really excited to visit the Torrance location this time around for the Halloween flash tattoos! I was able to get to and got Jenn as my artist she was really sweet and made sure I was comfortable in whatever position I was to get my tattoos in. I really love the Torrance locations because of all the girls that work there and it made me feel a lot more comfortable and all the designs they had were absolutely adorable, I wish I was able to go back today and get a second round of flash tattoos I will most likely visit the Torrance location to get an actual piece done by either Jenn or Kimi! read more

stopped in Modo Ink for their Friday the 13th specials! they had an awesome QR waitlist i checked in and was like 29th in line i had another quick appointment nearby so i was able to check in and come back by the time i came back, i still had a few mins to finalize my tattoos then i got a txt advising i was up next! i checked in and filled out forms and provided my tattoos and waited for my name to be called their process was really seamless for such an event! there had tons and tons of tattoos to chose from, ranging for $40-$160 the only thing that i found confusing was the lettering on the bottom of each sheet as it correlates to the price, idk maybe i'm just slow lol Tucker was my artist, which i was hopeful for, just worked out :) Tucker did a wonderful job, quick and painless i do not have any fine line or micro tats (trending with gen Z) i am a millennial sooooo def a different style here parking: in a strip mall, tons of free parking! read more

I can't say enough good things about Modo Ink in Torrance. The shop is so clean and friendly with kind and talented artists. The atmosphere is always important to me and this one is calm and light. There's no dark, masculine, overpowering old school parlor vibes. There's a big table in the middle where artists and apprentices all gather to work. It's really wholesome. I would specifically recommend Tucker- she is an amazing artist. Her detail work and fine lines are perfect. She can really do anything from black and white fine line to these amazing original art pieces. Overall I'd absolutely recommend this tattoo shop. Whether it is your first tattoo or one of many, you want a little piece or a full sleeve, or are not really sure but want a tattoo, this place is for you. Came here for their flash tattoo event and I'm surprised to say how organized they are at handling a bulk of people coming in. This flash event is only from 10/29/2022-10/30/2022 from 12-8pm! I came in around 11:45am and left around 1pm, which isn't too bad! There's a variety of different flash artwork for you to choose from that's posted outside on their windows for everyone to see and decide which ones their interested in having. It's also convenient that you're waiting out in the shade and that there is a 7/11 next door in case you got hungry or thirsty while waiting! Inside, you'll see many hardworking tattoo artists doing their thing. It's very clean inside which I find very reassuring that the artists there are very good about cleaning their equipment in-between clients. Jenn worked on my flash tattoo. She did a such a great job, my ink looks so thin&clean!! Her IG is @modoink_jenn for anyone who's interested in her work :) Flash tattoos generally start from $60-120 depending on how intricate the artwork is. For payment, they accept cash/Venmo/Zelle. Small and fairly new looking tattoo shop tucked into a plaza off of Sepulveda & Western. I didn't get a tattoo here, but I took my cousin here to get her first piece done. The shop takes walk ins and we got there a few minutes after it opened. We were assisted right away despite being the 3rd or 4th group to arrive. My cousin got a fine line piece from AD, and overall took almost 2 hrs. She knew what she wanted and ironed out the details in no time, it was more of the prep work that took a while (as expected). Once the tattooing began, her small (~3.5") single fine line piece took about 45 mins. Overall the process was good, especially for a walk in. Once completed they give you a little info sheet for immediate and long term aftercare. read more
