This place is great! Me and my girl have been here several times already and we always get great and hospitable service. Joey is a great artist who takes his time and does great work. Check him out at his instagram page @jimeneztattoo. The first time we went there back in June was a random visit and Joey helped us out immediately. Me and my girl got Tetris tattoos. The second tattoo I got from him was this amazing Koi he had drawn up on the wall. I was surprised when he told me that no one had ever requested that tattoo. We got it done in two sessions and it came out amazing. Joey really takes his time to ensure his work is perfect. Be prepared to spend some time in the shop because great work will take a little time. This definitely a great shop to visit, everyone there is really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for more work!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Everyone who works in the shop is very kind and inviting. David fixed an old tattoo for me and it's beautiful. He also did one of my mothers handwriting. I really can't say enough good things about the shop, the quality of tattoos and people.

I never posted my review. I wrote it but it was unfinished. So here it is, this was last year I believe. ----------------------------------------- This is my only tattoo artist. He always has the best prices and he's so gentle. Not too harsh. Yesterday I ended up FINALLY getting the two tattoos I wanted. Which was happiness and loyalty on both sides of my hips and i love love it.

Tattoos are permanent... When choosing a place to get your piece done, you consider a lot of things, but especially the artistry offered, the atmosphere and the professionalism. Make Luck Tattoo is definitely a place that has it all and is totally worth checking into for your next piece. The artwork is top notch! My piece was super simple, but there was attention to detail, down to the amount of space and spaces between lines. Dave really knows what he's doing and I felt comfortable and confident that I was going to walk away with something I really loved. I also must mention their flexibility! I messaged them on Friday to see what they might be able to do that weekend and they fit me in Saturday night. It was great and the price was reasonable! They worked with me on the design and placement and even said we could try a few places with the mock up to see where I really liked it. Check them out next time you're considering a tattoo! I highly recommend them.

Finally! A tattoo artist whose down to earth and easy going and talented without being full of himself. This little Redondo Tattoo shop is awesome! The owners, David and his sweet wife, are super attentive, patient, and accommodating. I messaged them to get an appointment and they responded within a few hours to book an appointment a few days later. I am really appreciative of the time they took to make my early birthday present to myself possible. I had a tattoo in mind that I sketched myself. They had me text it to them. I was in the L.a area on a solo getaway so I decided to get a tattoo as a permanent souvenir. Did my research on yelp and decided to go with this shop.I went there on a Thursday evening and spoke to Dave he was busy so he made me an appt for the next day. I went in with my idea and he made it happen. The shop was clean, his wife was very nice. He even said that I could get a touch up for free with in a yr BUT since I don't live there I'm sure I won't get that touch up.

David was really easy to work with, and gave my husband and I exactly what we asked for in our matching tattoos. His work was amazing, especially given the small space we had to work with on our fingers. He made the process as quick and painless as it can be with getting a tattoo, and I would definitely return if I want anything else done in the future.

David is a super down to earth guy and gave me exactly what I wanted both times. First tattooed here about 4-5 years ago, came again this past week and he was able to get me in right away. Patient, listens, takes his time, but most of all a humble and cool guy who is very skilled without any of the typical cocky tattoo artist bravado that you can easily find at other shops. It was my first tattoo and didn't know what to expect from the entire procedure. David was very patient to listen to my questions, even though at some point he was thinking I'll never get the tattoo, becasue I was concern of the pain associate with a tattoo on a particular body spot. The tattoo is on the rib cage and everybody around was telling me how painful is, so I shared this with David. He explained is different from person to person and in the end for me was not painful rather a bit unpleasant. Overall was a great experience for me and my first tattoo. I'm ready for the next one and I think I'll head to Make Luck Tattoo in the next days. read more

Dude!!!! My cover up tatt is SICK! Seriously thank you so much to the artist David! I really appreciate his talent! He helped me through the tough parts (which was the wrist/ lower forearm). The color, the blending, the outline, the final touches are Beautiful! I'm really happy with this tattoo! My arm is swollen in the pictures, but you see his details. Can you tell where the old tatt was? Yup I can't either!!! read more

David and his wife are amazing! Im so glad i found this gem! I have been to a few tattoo shops in LA and they were good but never blew me away! I found this place on yelp and loved seeing all the pictures. The art work was so detailed and amazing! And was exactly what i was looking for! They were very responsive in setting up an appointment. The shop itself is so cute! Beautifully decorated with such great art pieces created by both! They are true artists! It wasn't intimidating in there at all. It feels very inviting and relaxing! David takes his time and is so detailed in everything he is doing! I have been there now with my third tattoo in a short amount of time and i can't wait to keep working on my sleeve! Love it! Right on point. Took my drawing, enhanced it and did quality work. Also was very gentle, I almost fell asleep in the chair. I will go back to add on. This was $150. So normal pricing. Offered me water. Was very responsive to my texts/calls. read more

So I went here today to get a cover-up tattoo on my arm. The original tattoo was really dark, black Roman numerals (a date). I was worried that a cover up might look bad or super dark in order to cover it. I'm so glad I went here! David did an amazing job! I can't even tell that it's a cover up tattoo!! I'm looking for a picture of my old tattoo and will update the review when I find one for a before & after comparison! Amazing work :) and David and his wife were super friendly and welcoming! I saw the sign for this shop pop up around 4 months ago. I finally decided to stop by and see who was running it and check the vibe. David was great. He listened to what I wanted, made a couple of suggestions. The next day I stopped by to get the tattoo. We had a nice chat as he got things ready. The couch is comfortable. The shop is very clean. The work was great, exactly what I asked for with room for some of a David's own artistic touches. Line work was excellent. I'll definitely be back. read more

The shop is clean and tastefully decorated. David and Jayime are super chill, and will play whatever music you want. And, most importantly, David does amazing tattoos for a good price. Friendly, fast, and easy. Had a simple tattoo in mind. Walked in and showed David and Jayme my idea. Set an appointment for later that day. When I came back, they had the design/stencil ready. 20 to 30 minutes later, the work was done. The more I look at it, the more I realize it's actually what I had in mind. So i turned 4 decades and 7 years last month and decided to get myself a Tattoo. The wildest and most daring thing i have ever done so far! I have been surfing the web for tattoo shops for the last 4 or so months. I stumbled on Make Luck Tattoo shop and had read their Yelp reviews! Which were all great reviews however the latest was more than a year ago. But i was intrigued so i researched about this shop more and found their Instagram! Wow! I was impressed! And thought my search was over! This is it! This is the Tattoo shop that would give me my FIRST tattoo! I texted David, and sent him a picture of what i would want. He texted back almost immediately and gave me an estimate! Pricey but hey, Great things don't come cheap and it's now or never right? So i went in on my appointment. David and his super sweet and accommodating and welcoming wife Jamie (sorry, i know this is prolly a wrong spelling) were both so nice and made me feel comfortable from the get go! David is such an exemplary artist! The pain was much lesser than i had prepared myself for! And the tattoo has exceeded my expectation! My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting David and his lovely wife Jayime at their awesome Tattoo shop! It was our first tattoo and I cannot express how accommodating David was, as well as helping us feel comfortable. My wife was quite nervous about placement, size and look, but David & Jayime took the time to address all of her questions and give advice using their extensive knowledge. The shop is incredibly clean and David is someone who clearly loves what he does. Jayime was so kind and fun to talk with while waiting for our appointment. On my 4 day gataway in Torrence California I was determined to get myself a little tattoo for reminder of my fantastic time in LA. I took a stroll down Torrence Blvd on my last day in town. I came across a tattoo shop and said to myself.. ehhh why not check it out. I was greeted very sweet women named Jamie. Honestly wish I would have met him sooner so all my pieces were by him but oh well...anyway, I highly recommend him to anyone whether you're covered in tattoos or looking to finally get inked!!! I recently had a terrible experience at Make Luck Tattoo. The artist went way too deep, causing significant pain and damage to my skin. This isn't my first tattoo, so I know what proper healing looks like, and this one is definitely not healing properly. The lines are uneven, and the shading is a mess. On top of that, the shop wasn't clean, and the staff were rude and unprofessional. I'm extremely disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
