I was previously a client at a different medical spa and had mixed results with my Juvederm lip injections, so I decided to try Wayzata Plastic Surgery since Kristie has a lot more experience with fillers. WOW I made the right choice! She leaves the numbing cream on for about 20 minutes and because of this I didn't feel a thing! The first poke I couldn't even tell if she'd started yet! Huge difference from the last place I went to where they only left it on for a minute or two... Ouch! But the real surprise was her technique; the woman gets it! I don't have lumps and bumps like I used to, and she didn't place it too close to the surface of my lip, so I didn't have any discoloration this time. She is so careful and has a great eye for detail, for example she noticed one side of my lip was slightly more round than the other so she added another tiny drop to even them out. I was warned of the post treatment burning sensation and of the possibility of inflammation. Those both happened to a degree which I don't feel I was warned about. On day 6, I developed what I thought was a rash/infection by my mouth. I contacted my doctor since it was a Sunday, and was advised to be seen in person. Turned out that I had gotten shingles (I have been vaccinated)! I was prescribed an Antiviral as well as some ointment. I had also sent an email to Belladerm. They did contact me on Monday and offered to call in a prescription for an Antiviral. I feel like some sort of partial refund for the issue would have been an appropriate gesture. I will say that my skin tone from the treatment is a little better, but not TWO THOUSAND dollars better (plus the cost of the doctors visit and prescriptions). It was not money well spent. I went back 7 days later to be seen again for a follow up to the cream and was charged for another office visit. When I called to find out why I was billed for the first visit (should have been preventative) and why was I charged full price for the follow up, I had to make repeated calls. When calling the main line, most of the time it goes to voicemail and they may or may not call you back. When I finally reached someone, they said they had to have billing call me back. After multiple follow up calls, I was told the first visit was diagnostic so can't be billed as preventative and the second visit required another exam so wasn't considered follow up. The exam was all of 2 seconds of the Dr seeing things were worse and gave me a shot to minimize symptoms. They said I was examed again and it had to be billed as such and not a follow up. I will not be going back not only because I feel like I was unfairly charged but also because trying to get anyone on the phone was extremely difficult. I will stick with park Nicollet.
