Coppersmith Tavern & Table - Haddock Reuben

I ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo, and DAMN was it EXCELLENT. The pasta was perfect, the sauce…read morewas amazing, the chicken was shredded. Which was a new style for me, something unique for a restaurant classic staple. The broccoli was great, it just wasn't bite size, so I had to cut each one with my fork and knife each time. Which I feel like the kitchen could definitely make the broccoli florets smaller. But that's just nitpicking to be honest. It was quite a large quantity, so I took the rest home for my "Before bed second dinner". Service was lovely, very sweet and festive bunch. We visited before Christmas time.

We were traveling to the area, coming in late at night after a long drive from Acadia NP. I noticed…read morethis tavern due to their outdoor lighting and saw they had quite a few people eating inside and in the outdoor seating area. Lucky for me they had a special listed that night of something I had been craving for. A nice slice of Prime rib roast! I knew I was taking a risk since we had just arrived before dinner service was ending but we were greeted by the waitress who said the rib roast was still available. My husband had their Parmesan Crusted Haddock with a pretty decent looking Garden salad and Sweet potato fries. I asked if it was possible to get a piece of prime rib medium rare and they made it happen. Their sides of mashed potatoes and spears of broccoli was very generous and tasted delicious. The rib roast was moist and tender with a nice container filled with Au jus. The dining room area was practically empty so we had the space almost to ourselves. We happily inhaled our food and were given a nice period of privacy. 3 large screen TVs were on in this area so my husband enjoyed watching some games he had missed. The rib roast was just right and was very delicious. The setting is comfortable and a bit dark but the food presented was a real treat. It seems they are the hang out place of many locals and I can see why. You don't expect it but the outdoor seating area also includes a fire pit to enjoy on these cool nights. I can see why many locals and guests return. The wait staff attendant was busy cleaning tables and finishing up for the evening and looked in on us a couple of times only towards the end of our meal. Not as attentive as say other establishments but then again she looked like she was covering jobs of more than one person. Service can be affected in this regard but I'm not going to ding her for doing double duty and working so hard. The bar area looked well stocked and was attended by at least a couple of bar staff. The clientele looked like locals mixed with some who came from the nearby hotels in the area like us. The gatherings looked friendly and just enjoying time together. The outdoor seating area is well lit with a very nice seating area around a fire pit. Their listed specials looked very tempting and I'm just glad I got my hunk of prime rib to enjoy. Nicely done Coppersmith Tavern.

I found a lovely small chain coffee place while I was out in Portland in October! They were walking distance from the hotel and the flavor combinations are absolutely incredible! The sheer number of options you're given kind of blew me away. The staff is super friendly and happy to have you hang out for a while! I enjoyed a nice rainy morning at the location near my hotel on my last day in Portland. The shop is pretty cozy. I made several visits during my short trip. My drinks were up there with some of the best that I've had and for me that is saying a lot! Also if coffee isn't your thing they have tea and fruity options as well! Don't forget to pick up a t-shirt or mug too! Support small business! They have several locations within the Portland area and a couple further out as well. If you're looking for Quality coffee that's most likely convenient as well definitely stop in!

There is approximately 9 spots and 5 to 6 employees so that leaves only a couple of spots for customers. Too bad they can't accommodate customers and the employees at the same time. I see a lot of customers drive away. If you're not in a rush, please go to Joe's. The staff and coffee are wonderful.

Very quick service and informative wait staff! We don't know much about oysters other than the…read morefact that we like to eat them!! When it comes to picking what oysters we want, we have no knowledge. We shared this with the wait staff and gave us a good tasting with variety from a number of places. We especially loved the way they did their mignonette here -- it was like flavored shaped ice (so much easier to spoon a chunk of that onto our oysters!). Oysters were so meaty & delicious. We also got a soup which was okay - nothing that overly impressed me, but was nonetheless delicious. We also got a lobster roll which was tasty. Both these 2 dishes were quite small given the price point though. We arrived early as we didn't have a reservation and walked around until Opening to ensure we could get a spot, and to our disbelief, they were already busy! Even with high traffic for just opening for the day, they seated us immediately which was great. We're from out of town and cannot wait to return when we visit Portland again. This will be a staple for us for sure!

The staff there were super friendly and welcoming despite being busy! Ordered New England clam chowder and swordfish belly fish off the special menu of the week... loved the twist of what New England Clam Chowder is... it's thin compared to most chowder soup although full of flavors including seaweed which was very surprising and pleasing for taste bud! Of course it came with crackers. Swordfish belly was seared to its perfection and basically melts off in your mouth. Sided with vegetables and pureed root which was a nice compliment to fish. No complaint at all! I'd love to order second of everything!
