Visited for a surprise birthday pole class and this was so fun! The women's locker room was spacious with ample room to change and revamp after the class. The instructor was fun and entertaining. I was a wee bit flustered since I felt all over the place- but the point of the class is free flowing and to release yourself. For our Galentine's Day celebration, my friends and I took a chair dancing class at The Inner Me Studio, and it was such a fun, confidence-boosting experience! I am not a natural dancer whatsoever, but our instructor, Erica, was so patient with us. She broke down the moves, counted out the steps, and made sure we had plenty of time to learn--even the more unfamiliar, advanced ones. She also built in breaks so we could sip on the wine and champagne we brought to celebrate the occasion. Her high energy kept us all engaged and feeling empowered. The studio itself was extremely clean, and the pink neon lights added a sultry vibe. By the end of our 90-minute session, the staff even surprised us with a custom sign, which made the experience feel extra celebratory. Even though we were a small group of five, we had so much fun, and I'd love to return with an even bigger group. The location is easy to find, parking is plentiful, and it's the perfect way to celebrate friendship in a grown, empowering and confidence-filled way. I loved it! read more

What a cute place! Came here while visiting Houston with my girlies! We wanted to get a workout in and boy this was it! We arrived late but the hour we got was more than enough. I was exhausted by the time we were done. Our instructor was super patient and helpful. We may have had a few drinks before arrival. BEWARE of becoming a member of the business. The cancellation process is extremely difficult and is treated as an attempt at one last money grab from you and had I realized that when I originally signed up, I would have thought differently about joining. I was a member for 2.5 years, I enjoyed the classes, the staff was generally friendly, I paid my membership on-time every month and I was an easy-going member. My latest 12-month contract that I began in Feb 2024 was up and I had rolled onto a month-to-month membership which I was on for 8 months when I decided to cancel. I decided to cancel not because I disliked Inner Me but just because I have limited time and wanted to try out something else. I actually planned to possibly re-join in the future. When I reached out to cancel, I was repeatedly ghosted by the business. It took a week, 4 emails, 2 phone calls and 2 text messages to get an acknowledgement of my request. I then was told that I needed to pay for another month's membership that I did not want in order to facilitate the cancellation and that the reason for this was to have a "smooth processing of cancellations". Even though I had completed the 12-month contract I still had to pay another month's fee to cancel. It became clear to me through the poor communication and additional charge that this business values a short-term money grab over a long-term client relationship. Prior to my experience with the cancellation process I actively encouraged others to attend a class at Inner Me and spoke positively of the business. After my experience with the cancellation process I would now advise others who are interested to stick to 1-time classes and not become a member. I am sharing this here not to discourage anyone from attending classes but just to think twice about becoming a member. This is information I did not have when I joined and would have appreciated knowing. read more

BREAKING NEWS: Big cheeks don't guarantee success on the pole. I thought having a big booty = instant skills as soon as your hands touched the pole, but that was NOT the case at all hunny. lol. I came to @InnerMe for a bachelorette weekend with the girls and had a legendary experience! We walked into a private studio room with stripper poles and cleaning solution throughout. Within a matter of minutes, my girls were given new identities, and letting it all slide down the pole, skills or not. It was everything. The playlist? On point. The setting? On point. Our instructor? The BEST part of the whole experience! He had an amazing way of making everyone feel at ease...while encouraging you to bring out your inner baddie...he was everything! By the end of our session, I truly felt like I put in work. Cheers and dollars (don't be cheap brothas) to those those who indulge in pole art, because it is no joke. As if this place isn't already awesome enough, there's an in-store boutique featuring super-cute athleisure items (you know I had to cop). Came to Inner Me Studios for a bday celebration for one Of my friends. We took the Stilettos dance class. I forgot who our dance instructor was ( I think her name was Jaz) but she was bomb. I personally am not a dancer in any way like I'm badddddd and stiff and so much more but I like to test my comfort zone and at least try new things . Or instructor made it very fun! Lots of girls asked questions and made her do the steps over and over and she didn't complain she was like okay here you go! Prices are very good, they had a 2 weeks trial period for a small fee of $40 when I first started to see if this is the right environment for you. This place keeps me on my toes, motivated to stay in shape and taking care of myself, otherwise my life gets a little sloppy. I made some great friendships here as well :). Tried this place out for one of their chair dance workshops with my girls and had a blast! Our instructor, Trish, was phenomenal! She did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable and taught the choreography in a format that was easy to pick up! The environment was friendly and fun, we had a great time just laughing, getting out of our comfort zones and stretching ourselves! I love the classes! The studio and instructors are amazing. It's so rare to find talented dancers who are also exceptional and warm teachers but Inner Me has exactly that!! I'm shy and being taught by top tier dancers was intimidating at first but they are so kind and empowering. Dre's classes have incredible energy and everyone is so supportive. They're a fantastic instructor. It doesn't matter how many times I ask for counts or a cue they go over it until we feel comfortable. Lindsey has challenging pole choreography and is clearly knowledgeable of proper form and anatomy which makes me feel safe from being injured! They also makes me feel like I can do anything and is so encouraging. Sam M goes out of her way for her students, was my first pole instructor and was able to make everyone feel relaxed and laugh. She works hard to make the beginning class feel welcome and is also great about form. She clicks with anyone and everyone. Briona was my first erotic flow pole choreography instructor and had us all introduce ourselves. Everyone knew each other but made newcomers feel welcome which just speaks to Briona's class environment. She always has top music and cute choreography to match it. She makes it all look so graceful and effortless. Isha, Evadale, and Lesley are really personable and kind, and always make me feel like I'm VIP and belong. This studio is such a fun place. As of now I'm giving IMS a 3-start rating because I did not have a great or even good experience when I went for the first-time (on my birthday). My cousin and I signed up for the Saturday morning Stiletto Fit class (both first-timers), I was so excited and you can tell I was because I had my heels on ready to go, LOL. Our instructor was running late and usually I would be okay with that (I'm very understanding), but it hurt my plans because I had other things schedule right after. The reason for the 3-start rating is due too beginners (my cousin & I) being in a what seems like an advanced class. We were being taught Beyonce's Run the World and the instructor moved a little too fast - I assume because he was late he rushed it a little bit. After about 20-30 mins I decided that the class was moving to fast for a beginner like myself so I went to the front desk and asked if we could receive a credit for another class. Being told yes made things better, but being told that we had to pay an additional $12 did not. Unfortunately, we will be checking out the pole class this Saturday and I'm praying it is 10 times better. I highly doubt I return to IMS after Saturday. Also, I'm happy to see the 5-star ratings from everyone else because it gives me hope that maybe, just maybe my 2nd go around will be better. I just wish it could have been better on my birthday and not the week after. To the instructors - please acknowledge the beginners in the room everyone is not advanced and some of use don't learn as fast as others. Also, if the class is more advanced I would suggest adding that to signup sheet. read more

I'll start off with saying I've never tried something like this before so I have nothing to compare it to or what to expect. They have 2 pole studio rooms and 2 studio rooms. Tried the special offer of 2 premium classes and a week of unlimited basic classes. For premium, I did ballet and twerk. For basic, I signed up for innergize, hip hop, chair dancing, hip hop yoga, step aerobics, and zumba. My favorites were step aerobics, zumba, and innergize. Good for a cardio workout, easy, and fun! Twerk 101 was fun but sweating is involved and not as easy as I thought. There is choreography, which I did not expect. Hip hop yoga had the least amount of people. Hip hop, chair dancing, step aerobics, and zumba were the most popular classes. The instructors overall are fun, patient, and friendly. All the classes were in beginner stage and although the basic classes were more ahead (I started a few weeks late), I was able to catch up. One thing I like about all instructors is they would keep an eye on any newbie and help you fix what you're doing wrong or repeat new steps multiple times. The front desk are friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. You have to check-in per class. Filtered water is available. To register or cancel classes, you'll need to use their app. Calling over the phone doesn't work. Parking is limited so depending on your class time, you might have to park on the street. For the price, I can't say if it's worth it. But I will say you are guaranteed to have fun if you like dancing, looking for something new, or want a fun workout. read more

I recently came for a visit here for a friends birthday for a private heels class. And let me tell you Inner Me DID NOT disappoint the check in process was very seamless, they maintained social distancing and reinforced mask usuals in common areas. Our instructor for the night was Deandre* (spell check) and I definitely want to come back and take another of his classes! I honestly really loved everything from start to finish. They allow you to BYOB and food. My favorite part was the song choice "Go Crazy" by Christ Brown and Young Thug and the fact that we had to "audition" for our alter ego stage names before the class began. I def want to come back and possibly check out the yoga and other various dance classes offered!!! Adequate free parking in lot, clean space and so much fun! YALL!!!!!! I cannot express my gratitude and excitement for finding this gym/studio enough! I was trying to find a pole studio to practice at while visiting and landed on this gem. First of all, this is more than just a pole studio. They have a beautiful two-story facility with so many amenities (gender-neutral restrooms, showers, refillable water station) and they offer a variety of so many different types of classes and instructors. This place feels like they have a thriving community because of the variety that they offer. They have pole, yoga, twerk, dance classes, spin classes and so many more! There are multiple studios inside so it's nice that they're doing more than one class at a time and you're able to see the crossover of everyone's interests. I've even made a few friends in classes - everyone is just so friendly and nice! Another reason that I love this studio is that it is the closest to where I live and was the most central out of all the studios in the area. Also, this is a black owned business which made me feel good about where I was putting my money! They offer different kinds of memberships that are flexible for your goals and the staff is invested in helping you reach your goals. The staff is AMAZING. When I booked my first class, I got a call from them to make sure that I was signing up for the right level and guided me to the correct level class. When offering the memberships to me, I felt like I wasn't being scammed and that they were trying to find the right membership for me (because I obviously fell in love with the place) to help me reach my goals and what would be the right price for me after some discussion. Thank you to Nicole, Leslie, Evadale, and the whole staff for being so welcoming and wonderful! I feel so safe here and would highly recommend Inner Me to anyone who is pole curious or just want a great place to workout and connect with others. Twerk it mamiiiii! It was my girlfriend's birthday so we decided to take a twerk/pole dancing class. It was time to TWERK it girl so here's how our experience went. Pricing may vary depending on the size of your party. They do allow alcohol but no liquor so you can bring wine and champagne. Pop bottles and twerk? Sounds like a fun time to me. The check in process was kind of a rough start. Lesley was being kind of rude towards my friend because she was "birthday girl" wasted and so I took charge because I was semi sober. I don't think she meant it intentionally but my friends were getting annoyed because she was being crass but hey that's not going to let us stop having fun. We got all checked in and then now it's time to tWERK. We got a private room and it was the best decision we have ever made. Rashida was our private instructor and she was absolutely WONDERFUL! Her and her little trainees were amazing and made the experience rememberable and enjoyable. We started out with a simple twerking routine and then the difficulty increased but it was doable. Highly recommend you bring loose shorts and a crop top/sports bra. You'll definitely leave sweaty! At the end we took pictures and blew out our cupcakes (we provided). Loved it here! I have been coming here for 5 months now after my old pole dance studio in the city closed down. I appreciate that they have different tiers of membership options and you're able to book your classes through their app, which syncs to Mindbody. I've only gone to the pole dancing classes here so I can't comment on their other classes and programming, but their pole ones are fantastic! The pole classes are usually 85-90 min long, which is really nice and have come to appreciate the length. In classes that are only 60 min long, you spend a huge chunk of the class just warming up so you barely have any time to work on the actual pole stuff. But not at Inner Me! You have plenty of time to work on pole stuff since the classes are long. You definitely get what you pay for. The instructors for the classes I have been in (Lindsay, Sam, Brandi) are kind, patient, and supportive. Customer service is more than fabulous at the front desk. My only request is that every pole has an individual squirt bottle with alcohol in it so you don't have to hunt one the 1-2 down in the classroom to wipe down your pole. Hopefully with COVID that will change here. Overall they have been very accommodating during the COVID pandemic, transparent with communication, and have a good community and social media presence.
