Dear reader, I was so excited to have my son join the preschool school section of FAS ( French…read moreAmerican school). In June 2023, I reached out to the director of enrollment who came across as if she was going to sincerely assist me with this process. Six months later, I haven't received any decision regarding the enrollment. I reached out multiple times and was told the following is impacting the enrollment : vacations time, school's busy time, staff's busy time all with periods of no communication and I as a parent had to reach out multiple times to request for status. Finally I was given the opportunity to bring my 29 month old child for a class evaluation ( I was told evaluation was to see how my 2 year old without me being there will interact with other 2 -3 year olds and see if /when my 2 year old get upset if he can be comforted by the teacher). I brought my child in, please note this is the FIRST time my child is being exposed to everyone in the classroom. A few mins after I left I heard my son cry - he was realizing I was gone. I came back to check in as I was across the classroom and peeked via the small window and no adult was soothing/ comforting my child . I checked again via the window after a few minutes and no adult in the classroom was comforting my child . He was upset walking around the classroom by himself. The third time ( few minutes later) I came back headed to the classroom room. A separate teacher from another classroom was bringing my distressed child to me from his classroom as my child was apparently trying to get away. Kindly note that I was literally across the hall from the classroom. Please note that there was a teacher and a teacher's aide in the classroom where my son was. This broke my heart, I typically do not give any reviews but this is one I felt so compelled to give as I could only imagine what my son felt and had I not witnessed this experience I would have been none the wiser. This was my breaking point. I decided NOT to enroll my child in this school and move onto another school and will recommend anyone reading this to think twice about this school. I truly genuinely wanted to love this school as I believe in the idea of having a multilingual education and exposing my child to other cultures early in life. But after that experience by my child, the goal of experiencing multi language can be attained somewhere else, my child needs to be somewhere he feels safe and if he is upset he will be seen and soothed with care and I can also feel assured he is safe. In case the reader is wondering, I reached out to the director of enrollment and communicated my and my child's experience on that fateful "evaluation " day, I got an apology for my feelings and child's feelings she did not address anything else. I cannot say if this is the only time that a potential parent and child interested in this school experienced this encounter. I feel so strongly and so passionately to give this review as that was my experience and I will want to know as a parent of a young child, if I was interested in this school to have this honest review ahead of time. I wish I had this information going in. Since the young ones cannot speak up, parents don't be too far away and be available to check in to see the real experience your little one is receiving. If this is the school you feel compelled to send your little one. In summary, if I can give less than ONE star or zero star I will give it. Disappointment and hurt do not begin to express my feelings especially with the way my child was treated. I wish I was the one who was treated that way instead of my child.

Basic care like bathroom assistance and emotional support was often overlooked. Communication from administration was slow, and any attempt at corrective action only came after multiple efforts on our part to explain the neglect our child experienced. It left us feeling like our child simply wasn't welcome which was incredibly difficult to witness as parents. One kind staff member stood out, but overall, this is not the nurturing or responsive environment we expected or would recommend.

We will keep him there all the way through 8th grade! The program is immersive, caring, and we discovered the International Baccalaureate approach to teaching, which is so so impressive. It's wonderful to see kids taught to be inquisitive, ask good questions, be curious, and all within a context of awareness and core principles. UNSAFE VEHICLES!…read more When completing my 6-hours lesson (July 2019) I came to realize the vehicles they were using 2003 & 2006 Toyota Corollas were affected by the big Takata airbag recall either causing malfunction of the front driver and passenger airbags or deploying with metal shards causing possible fatalities. I asked to run the VIN number of the vehicle I was using and I was denied the usage. Lucky I used a website where I could retrieve the VIN number from the license plate. My findings had me in awe. The vehicle I was driving had two open airbag recalls, the ones I was concerned about. The instructors themselves were polite and knowledgeable. They truly knew what they were doing and were never more than 10 minutes late. Throughout my six hours I, thank god, remained safe and in one piece. We at first had an issue with someone at the office about scheduling, and they offered us an extra hour of practice. They although did not honor that promise. After completing my 6 hours I asked to speak to a superior and was given the the cell phone number of the owner. I brought it to her attention about the open recalls on the vehicle I had driven. One of the two recalls had been open since 2014, and the other 2015! She showed a slight concern, and even asked me to run another vehicle for her, at the time the other vehicle I ran for her turned up clean but as I have check again it has a new open recall for the same potentially lethal airbag issue (Oct 19'). After reporting my findings of the vehicle she asked for she responded and said she would be getting the information for the two other vehicles in her fleet. I never received another response. I vividly expressed my concern and the urgency of the situation. I also explained to her that remedies of these recalls were available and free of charge at a local Toyota dealership. After almost a year later, I am currently looking for a refresher lesson and a rental for my upcoming road test. After running both VINs again today it is clear that my urgent concern was not taken seriously, and the blood of the students and instructors will be in their hands, god forbid a serious accident ever happens. The instructors were great, but management and maintenance needs an overhaul.

The classes are small, the teachers are wonderful and caring and their schedule is perfect for the age-appropriate classes. My son has flourished at this school. Before Crayons he wasn't speaking much at all, but I saw a difference in only a matter of weeks. Additionally, he has since learned his alphabet, counting, songs, and even how to write his name at only three years old! On top of that, he has developed great social skills, creative skills and Crayons staff has been a key factor in helping him become fully potty-trained. Mrs. Lini has been incredibly kind towards us and runs a fabulous daycare at Crayons. I now have a three month old baby and am getting ready to head back to work and there is nowhere else I would feel better about leaving my children! For parents looking - the facilities are clean and safe and prices are very reasonable, especially in this area. Their hours are convenient for working parents 7am - 6pm. Staff gives great updates on your kids after each day and really keeps them engaged in their activities. Crayons does fun things for holidays (my son loved walking in his Halloween parade) and offer events like professional portraits for your kids! I'm so impressed with this place, I recommend it to anyone in need of a daycare/nursery school for their children.

This is, by far, the best daycare/preschool in Mercer and Burlington Counties. Every tacher is…read moreamazing, the kids learn more than most of the schools teach, and every child is happy, healthy, and thriving. There is virtually NO employee turnover (which is more than I can say for some "Princeton" preschools that have Help Wanted signs up every other week) so some of the teachers have been there since the beginning - and many of the "students" have come back to work there as adults because their experiences were so wonderful! And one of the best things about it is that the cost far beats any other place around. I have moved twice since starting school here - and once was an hour and a half away - and I still didn't consider changing preschools. I made the drive for almost 2 years because I (and my child) didn't want to be anywhere else. I love, love, love that we go to this school. But beware! The waiting list can be a monster since it is so popular, so get on the list the second that stick shows a double line! When I got pregnant I called my mom, then I called Tomorrows Stars, same day! UPDATED: Had to remove 1 star. While I still think the teachers are great women and the learning is excellent, after leaving I found out 2 upsetting things: (1) each parent seems to be charged a different tuition than the next and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for the rates per person and (2) This is not a church related school - it's a private, secular school. One of the teachers is more religious than the rest (it seems) and was, apparently, teaching my child various Catholic beliefs. As someone who is both non-religious and also staunchly anti-Catholic, this is distressing to me, as what a 4 year old learns as "fact" can be difficult to un-teach. This teacher also didn't seem to teach these things in a "this is what *I* believe" but in a "this is what is true" fashion. Keep your beliefs to yourselves!

I brought up my worries about not knowing how my child's day was and said I would be satisfied with a note or a photo a day and I was told they'll try. I received three photos and zero notes in the span of two months. I'm a teacher who has worked in daycares. I know it's busy and understaffed. Their communication is nonexistent unless they want to remind you to bring money in for some event. I was never told they were closed for two weeks at the end of December until the day before my child started. I understand infants are tough, but I received one art project in two months. My child was bit twice (within the span of a month...with 2 weeks off!) and when my husband went to pick up and ask for the incident form he was told "ask your wife." .
