We visited the center and were impressed by it for sure as it was neat , clean , big , digital screen, main street usa and all. But unfortunately the most important part of the whole experience - the toddler classroom teacher/caretaker was not so good. We first met her when she came to Directors office while we were there for our tour appointment and she was staring at our kids weirdly [ so much and so long ] that even the director Ms. Geetha had to ask her why is she staring like that. We ignored at that point , and then I scheduled a play date before I get my kids enrolled. During our tour [ we had taken our kids for it] we went to the toddler classroom. kids were still getting up from their nap. but I saw almost no interaction from her with them and there was another helper Bhoomi who was doing it all. during our play date, just before we enter the classroom with kids we saw she just picked up the box full of blocks [ I suspect that she got notified that we are coming to room] and just emptied it on floor [without even bending down]. Again there was just no conversation with any of the kids there what so ever.. not even come lets play, lets build blocks etc.. kids started playing on their own. then while we were there another parent came to pick up her kid and again there was no hello or any conversation initiated by her until the parent ask her about how did her child do today. and I was surprised to see her response on the question.. she just said that the toddler still takes off her shoe [nothing about what did she do through out the day] and that's it. on top of it, we still thought that let the kids play for some time and we waited outside to see how good they are feeling with the place. then we waited in the Directors office , where within 5 mins we heard and saw them crying on the tv installed in directors office. we still waited for another few mins before rushing to classroom, as we thought that teacher will make some attempt to calm the kids and literally there was hardly any and she immediately called us to come and get them. and she said that they were playing well [ which we were seeing the tv from office], an one put something in mouth, where she asked to take that out, and the kid started crying. then we just came out and in spite of all great things about the center we decided not to opt for the same atleast till my toddler goes to next class or at least the teacher is changed. We went to some other classrooms where elder kids were there and we found them and teacher enjoying and learning on the digital screen. I would definitely vote for this center apart from toddler class.

I want to highlight the extraordinary care, dedication, and professionalism demonstrated by the ownership, staff, and administration at Lightbridge Academy. These individuals consistently go above and beyond to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of every child. In our case, they collaborated with external experts, including my son's grandmother (a DCF supervisor) and a regional manager from Children's Specialized Hospital, to address the emotional challenges my son was experiencing. This collaborative effort underscores their commitment to the holistic care of children. Unfortunately, the only opposition to these efforts came from Lauren P. and Patty P., who were unwilling to cooperate for the betterment of my child. It is disingenuous for them to cast blame on an organization that showed such willingness to help, especially when they themselves refused to support a united approach. For instance, they've alleged that Lightbridge Academy violated state protocols by keeping my son in a room for two hours, yet they omit a critical detail: they specifically instructed the staff not to contact his father during an outburst--even though he was just eight minutes away. Lightbridge Academy was following their directive, so any blame for this situation rests with them, not the facility. It is both shocking and disappointing that these baseless accusations are being leveled against a daycare that has shown nothing but compassion and professionalism. We maintain thorough records and evidence to refute these claims. Lightbridge Academy did everything possible to navigate complex challenges, including instances of parental alienation, manipulation, and misinformation, all while prioritizing the best interests of my son. For three weeks, my son experienced emotional outbursts, often immediately following drop-offs by his mother. The staff consistently went out of their way to support him, employing strategies like emotional redirection, personalized activities, and special accommodations to help him adjust. This level of care has been a hallmark of Lightbridge Academy throughout my son's time there--from when he was just four months old until November 2024. As someone with insight into daycare standards (thanks to my mother's role with DCF), I can confidently say Lightbridge Academy is exemplary. It is deeply unfair to see this business--one that treats every child as if they were their own--be maligned for issues rooted in parenting challenges, not institutional failings. Despite multiple conversations, written documentation, and coordination with her therapists--including Early Intervention providers visiting the school--the staff consistently failed to meet her basic safety needs. On her final day, I discovered she had been given water by a teacher who was unaware of her feeding plan. My child has documented swallowing difficulties and is not permitted to drink water at daycare. I received two completely different explanations from staff: one teacher (Ms. Subarna) claimed in writing that she had not been given water at all, while another (Ms. Corrine) told me she had. After I raised the concern, the Brightwheel log was altered to remove the mention of water. This wasn't just a mistake--it was a serious communication breakdown with conflicting accounts and document tampering. Before I even arrived to pick her up, I watched via the classroom camera as my child picked up another child's water bottle, put it in her mouth, then handed it back. No adult was present at the table. She could have choked or aspirated. No one informed me of this--I saw it myself. The administrators later admitted it happened and described it as "unacceptable" and promised to retrain staff. But that's not good enough when you're talking about a child's medical safety. This was not an isolated issue. On another occasion, I watched via the cameras as my child was left unsupervised at a table with another child who had a cracker. She took the cracker and put it in her mouth. At the time, she did not eat solids and this posed a clear choking hazard. No one notified me--it was something I discovered on my own. Incidents like this were repeated and avoidable, and reflect a serious failure of basic supervision protocols. Throughout our time there, we experienced: * Staff regularly failing to follow her feeding therapy plan * Teachers giving her bottles after purée against clear written instructions * Another child sleeping on her crib sheet, and her sleeping on another child's bedding * Ongoing lack of support despite her being diagnosed with global developmental delays * Frequent turnover of teachers, many of whom were unfamiliar with her accommodations * Repeated miscommunications, lack of consistency, and disregard for therapist recommendations Even more troubling, the head teacher of the infant classroom repeatedly told me my child was meeting her milestones--despite our child receiving Early Intervention services and having a formal diagnosis of global developmental delay. After I shared the findings of her speech-language pathologist, this teacher admitted they have "more information and training for toddlers not meeting milestones," and that they "don't have much training on infants with delays." That is unacceptable. That is their job. They are entrusted with the care and developmental monitoring of infants, and this admission reveals a lack of basic preparedness and staff training that puts children at risk. When I brought these concerns to the director, Ms. Krupa, I was told there are "tons of other great schools in Plainsboro." Rather than taking immediate responsibility, I was subtly encouraged to find a better fit. That's exactly what I did. This will be documented with the state. My child should not have had to be the reason they finally decided to 'do better.' If your child has special needs, medical concerns, or requires any accommodations--I urge you to look elsewhere. I hope no other child gets hurt before real changes are made.
