Lightbridge Academy

Lightbridge Academy

(7 reviews)

I feel compelled to address the misinformation and baseless accusations being spread about…read moreLightbridge Academy by Lauren P. and Patty P. These claims are entirely false, unfounded, and appear to be an attempt to deflect accountability and create unnecessary chaos. The allegations lack evidence and seem to reflect their personal shortcomings rather than any legitimate concerns about the facility. I want to highlight the extraordinary care, dedication, and professionalism demonstrated by the ownership, staff, and administration at Lightbridge Academy. These individuals consistently go above and beyond to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of every child. In our case, they collaborated with external experts, including my son's grandmother (a DCF supervisor) and a regional manager from Children's Specialized Hospital, to address the emotional challenges my son was experiencing. This collaborative effort underscores their commitment to the holistic care of children. Unfortunately, the only opposition to these efforts came from Lauren P. and Patty P., who were unwilling to cooperate for the betterment of my child. It is disingenuous for them to cast blame on an organization that showed such willingness to help, especially when they themselves refused to support a united approach. For instance, they've alleged that Lightbridge Academy violated state protocols by keeping my son in a room for two hours, yet they omit a critical detail: they specifically instructed the staff not to contact his father during an outburst--even though he was just eight minutes away. Lightbridge Academy was following their directive, so any blame for this situation rests with them, not the facility. It is both shocking and disappointing that these baseless accusations are being leveled against a daycare that has shown nothing but compassion and professionalism. We maintain thorough records and evidence to refute these claims. Lightbridge Academy did everything possible to navigate complex challenges, including instances of parental alienation, manipulation, and misinformation, all while prioritizing the best interests of my son. For three weeks, my son experienced emotional outbursts, often immediately following drop-offs by his mother. The staff consistently went out of their way to support him, employing strategies like emotional redirection, personalized activities, and special accommodations to help him adjust. This level of care has been a hallmark of Lightbridge Academy throughout my son's time there--from when he was just four months old until November 2024. As someone with insight into daycare standards (thanks to my mother's role with DCF), I can confidently say Lightbridge Academy is exemplary. It is deeply unfair to see this business--one that treats every child as if they were their own--be maligned for issues rooted in parenting challenges, not institutional failings. Again thank you to Amy Speiser, Esther Sander (gifted my son a Childrens bible), Lauren Nolan and the rest of the amazing Lightbridge Academy staff for all their love, support and amazing care for my chid and other children at the facility. To begin with, if it were possible I would give 0 stars, which is what this daycare deserves…read more Most disturbing and unbelievable is that the administrators put their hands on the child and punished him by barricading him a room for over two hours, which they later admitted was in poor judgement. REALLY????? The actions on the part of the school, which have caused the child emotional trauma, have been reported to the appropriate state agency. In terms of the educational value at this daycare, the pre-kindergarten room has two staff members who have no clue how to engage toddlers and learning seems minimal. The walls have none of the students' work displayed because they do nothing. The child is in a new setting that is nurturing and educationally stimulating.

His entire staff is impeccably trained - everyone always has a smile and warm/welcoming words (and it's not fake, it's the culture there). Not only are the facilities great (GAGA pits, 2 pools, high ropes course, giant zip line, archery, arts & crafts, drama, etc etc and fields for: baseball, soccer, flag football and lacrosse...the kids even get to play dodge ball) but the staff is simply amazing - incredibly supportive and patient, always there to help and encourage. Campers not only learn how to win but more importantly they learn how to lose and have sportsmanship. The camp has an underlying philosophy based around helping each child become their superstar self - excelling at something. They also teach how to be social with their peers, how to be a good citizen, how to take responsibility...basically how to be a good person in all aspects of their lives. Since then, he has thrived thanks to the warm, nurturing care provided by everyone at The Learning Experience - Hopewell. I have cherished every drop-off and pick-up, where smiles and a palpable sense of community greet me. We decided to start the au pair process before fully realizing the impact and quality of care here, and I only wish we had come here first. While we are committed to our current path, we hope that our son will return soon, where he can reunite with the teachers and friends who have supported his growth and development and brought us so much joy.
