I've been running since high school but didn't start distance running until I ran my first half…read moremarathon a few years ago. I pieced together my own training plan and was happy with how I did. However, when I met Nick and started training for my second half marathon, I realized that I had gone about my first half marathon training all wrong. With his help, I was able to cut my time by 8 minutes and beat my goal time! I also PRed in my 10K and 5K races (shaving 2 minutes off my previous fastest 5K) and ran my fastest mile EVER (like faster than I was in high school)! The things I like best about training with Nick are that I'm accountable to someone else (which helps motivate me when I may not want to get out there), I don't have to think about my training program in advance- I can just go and do what I'm told to do, and that I have access to someone who is incredibly knowledgable about physiology, endurance training, and the mental side of racing. He has helped me recover from injury, improve my times, set ambitious new goals, expose me to other sport options, and meet a great group of people through Team P3.

P3 Fitness is great! Nick just wrapped up his weekly track workouts for this season and I look…read moreforward to them starting back up in the Spring. Nick is super knowledgeable and has a well rounded knowledge of fitness as it applies to multiple sports (running, cycling, etc.). He is also overall fun to be around which is important when looking for a coach/trainer. Nick spends time understanding your needs as an athlete and adjusts accordingly. It's certainly not a one size fits all approach. His group training sessions feel inclusive and are relevant to all levels of athletic ability. They are certainly challenging but that's why you're there! During the workout, he checks-in regularly and gets feedback on how you're feeling and may make adjustments (e.g. increase or decrease intensity). I've also participated in two of his running clinics and have seen significant improvement in my running both in terms of pace but more importantly the technical and body mechanics. Bottom line - If you're looking to take that next step toward your athletic goals P3 Fitness is the way to go!

PCF remains an amazing gym despite Covid-19. Certainly it had to close for a period as mandated by…read morethe state. However upon being allowed to reopen Lee, the owner and coaches have made adjustments to ensure the safety of everyone there. I feel safer here than nearly any other place that involves being around other people (e.g. grocery store, pharmacy). Standard precautions are in place. Everyone has to sanitize their hands, get their temperature taken, and wear a mask the entire time! I've been grateful that everyone at PCF takes this seriously and as far as I've seen wears their mask the entire time. There is a huge garage door in the back which is almost always open and you can exit out the back and remove your mask if you need to take your mask off for a minute or two. Many workouts are scaled or adapted if you prefer to workout outside. The floors have taped boxes in them and you are to remain in your box while you are working out so that everyone remains spaced apart. You are able to leave to get weights and other equipment but with the understanding you will maintain physical distance from others while doing so. Also most people grab their workout equipment upon arriving so there is less reason to leave your square during the workout. Individual spray bottles and rags are in each box for you to clean ALL your equipment after the workout. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great workout and a place which will support you in your fitness goals regardless of what they might be.

Afterward, we methodically went through the steps of the "man maker" (consciously ignoring the term). I liked this part because it gave everyone an opportunity to get on the same page and focus on their technique. Joe went around and gave pointers to make sure that we were doing everything correctly. Finally, we had a twenty five minute AMRaP workout of man makers and 200m runs with a partner. Again, I really enjoy the partner and team-oriented nature. I find that it keeps me accountable, motivates me, and just makes the experience more fun. Bonus: I love how community-minded PCF is. On Saturdays in December they host local entrepreneurs with a pop-up shop in the gym!

Customization to anyone's special or unique needs is the differentiator. Donna trained with Ramona from Joseph Pilate's studio so she follows the method and does true pilates, where some folks hang a pilates shingle and do there own rendition. Donna is also schooled in massage and is an expert regarding aroma and other alternative therapies. Today I almost skipped Pilates because I had horrible back pain (I usually don't have a bad back). I took the elevator because I couldn't walk the stairs and I could barely walk in hunched over. I had taken ibuprofen and donna rubbed some essential oil into my back. she customized a series of exercises with small movements that didn't seem like much. after 45 minutes, I was walking much better and took the stairs down and feel far more functional. whatta difference! I am usually very strong and do a "standard/advanced" workout but today was a totally different need and Donna proved why I keep coming back and she is worth the premium.

Again, I'm doing a review here in detail because I guess I didn't finish it before and Help would…read morelike me to get moving on it. I took this class and almost completed it until our family emergency changed the outcome. I was going to reactivate my real estate license and that's still my intention and so now I really like the school the teacher was fantastic. The layout study guide were great and I plan to go back this year.

This school is excellent. I passed my state exam on the first try. I was in the January 2015…read moreintensive course (9-5 weekdays for 2 weeks). The course is in my opinion expensive, however the first day was canceled without much notice and they staff was professional enough to provide the course book at no cost as a perk. They also offer the ability to retake the class at no charge if you fail the test, something I haven't heard of before and was my primary reason for selecting this school along with its recommendation. The instructor is Bob Sherwood who, in my opinion, is an excellent academic instructor. He isn't afraid to joke with students and I found most of the class liked him. He is somewhat abrasive however, and won't hesitate to throw a sarcastic answer in there now and then (leading some students to dislike him simply because of his attitude) however his teaching methods are extremely effective and the information is relevant. This next part is important - The class consists of a great deal of material. The first is the 600 page book, where you must read it in its entirety in the two weeks, the chapter summaries, the chapter reviews, the end chapter quizzes, plus Bob hands out a synopsis of pertinent information along with several practice tests. It's a lot. I (and this is the key factor) did none of it. Literally none. I read none of the chapters, I did none of the chapter reviews, chapter quizzes, or read any of the material Bob handed out and didn't do a single sample test. I DID, however, pay attention to his lectures and took notes. I was apathetic to this course because I could take it again at a later date and actually read the material, but that turned out to be unnecessary as I passed the course exam on the last day without any problem due to Bob's lectures. Lastly, I took the state exam later in the week and passed on my first try. To sum up, this course is intense in material and the instructor can be gruff at times, but it is highly recommended by everyone in my office, and I was able to pass the course and the state exam on the lectures alone by paying attention. Definitely sign up for this class. Financially and academically advantageous.
