This school has a great mix of fun and learning. My daughter is 4 yrs old and has loved going to First Friends from day one. I would not think of sending her anywhere else. I was worried about the process of signing my daughter up and her leaving home for at least part of the day, but Amy W. is the director and she can help you enroll your child easily and has the best advice for parents.

Where do I start?!!! There are so many great things about lightbridge!…read more 1. Postpartum first time mom: our first child we waited a year to start in daycare. When you drop off you have that anxiety that NOBODY can care for your child like you. You know their different cries, their schedules, Cues. They don't know these strangers. What if the teachers can't do it like you? Well, the teachers arent you... they do it like professionals!!! You only have 1 kid... they have multiple. I've walked into the room so many times impressed that they do this day in and day out with a smile. I remember sitting at a red light soon after starting, and my daughter kept putting her hand towards her mouth. She did this a couple days before I realized she was using sign language!!! My husband and I instantly started practicing so we could recognize what our daughter was saying! It was amazing to feel we could communicate with her, and she wasn't as frustrated because we could understand her! As she she gets older, se switches to new teachers. They do a great job introducing them gradually before the full switch! 2. Baby #2 we started at 5 months old. Equal amount of tears in my eyes as I dropped off. I instantly pulled up the camera and watched them hug her and shake some toys to get her attention. My anxiety was related to bottles this time. My daughter never had a bottle. Exclusive breastfeed. We tried introducing a bottle around 4 months, using all the tricks. But no success. How would my baby eat?!!!! I was so lucky that I work next door. The teacher would give it a couple attempts and if no success they would call me and I'd walk over. They let me nurse in the backroom. I did this for a week or 2 until finally the teachers messaged me in the app saying SUCCESS!! She took her first full bottle! They were just as excited and proud as I was. The app communication center is great. Even now, we had an unusual drop off that the girls were both emotional and "off". I can just send a message "how is their day going" and they keep me in the loop!! Great piece of mind! There isn't a bad teacher in the bunch!! All the teachers know our kids names, even if they aren't in their class! We walk down the hallway and they all use their names when saying goodbye for the day!!!

She is learning her shapes and colors as well as life skills. I was so shocked when we were out, and she recognized the color yellow. I know when I drop my daughter off, she is in kind, loving hands with not just her teachers but any of the staff at Lightbridge. During the day, I receive live updates on her activities with pictures. If I have a question, I am able to email the teachers, and they respond during naptime. You are able to sign your child up for a sports class that they have once during the week. I can not recommend Lightbridge Academy enough to my friends.

I adore Berry Patch. My 2-year-old daughter is in her second year here. She moved from the…read moreStrawberry to the Busy Bee room in September and has continued to surprise me at every turn. The teachers are so detail-oriented that I feel like she has a brand new skill perfected every day. She holds pens properly, can read a few words, can count over 20, sings nonstop, and is currently potty training and her teachers are rockstars guiding her in all this. I leave her at 7 am every day with her teachers who keep her company and talk and play with her till all her friends get there. Throughout the day they read, sing, learn letters and numbers, have open play, gym and playground time, do arts and crafts, and so much more. The facility is cozy with cubbies for each child, a kitchen to heat food for the kids, and artwork everywhere. My daughter loves showing me what she and her friends made each week. The director keeps us in the know with monthly newsletters and calendars and truly cares for each family. They also set up extra optional enrichment activities like dance and tumbling classes and field trips. They do a wonderful job of including parents, grandparents, and siblings in events like the Thanksgiving luncheon and holiday festivities. I checked out half a dozen daycares and schools in Flemington and I am so glad we chose Berry Patch.

My younger daughter is still a student and has come a long way in terms of her social and motor skill development and I attribute a lot of that to Ms. Betsy and the other fine teachers there. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Goddard Flemington. We've trusted them with our…read moretwo boys since January 2024, and our experience has been exceptional. One of the biggest differences we've noticed is how healthy our boys have stayed. They rarely get sick here, especially compared to our previous daycare experiences, which tells me the school takes cleanliness and sanitization very seriously. The summer program is another highlight. The kids get to enjoy so many fun and engaging activities, including musical performers, puppet shows, water play, foam parties, and even drive-in movie days. I always look forward to the pictures they send because my boys are clearly having so much fun. They stay busy all day with meaningful activities and never seem to have a dull moment. Since our boys started at Goddard, I've always noticed what I think of as a "trickle-down effect." The management is respectful, the teachers are respectful, and the children reflect that same culture. The kids are so well-behaved compared to what we've experienced elsewhere, and I truly believe that's a result of the positive environment the school creates. Most importantly, I know my boys are safe, genuinely cared for, challenged, and kept engaged every day. The teachers also provide appropriate structure and discipline, which has helped them grow tremendously. Goddard played a huge role in helping my boys thrive and prepare for public school. Like any daycare, there is some staff turnover, but it's minimal compared to other centers we've experienced. What also gives me confidence is that Miss Lori has been there for over 20 years and oversees teacher training. Knowing that every teacher receives the same high standard of training really shows in the quality of care. I often find myself lingering during drop-off and pick-up just to chat with the staff because I genuinely enjoy the warm, welcoming environment. I'm honestly sad that my 5-year-old is aging out because we've loved being part of the Goddard family. We have had an incredible experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Goddard Flemington to any family looking for a caring, engaging, and well-run preschool.

I came to them after having a negative experience at our first daycare and my son did a complete 180. He was thriving, talking about how he liked his teachers, and was making friends! I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for being such a great childcare facility. Unfortunately, we had to move away and we miss them. After touring other Goddard schools in our area, they're just not the same. I want to make a point of saying that this location is truly a step above the rest, it is a true gem!

They took initiative to make videos and zoom calls to read stories with the kids throughout the shut down and even made "back to school" videos to acclimate the little ones to teachers who would be wearing masks. In school, they have done so many activities and encourage family interactions. They host Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad for mothers/father's day; hosted Pre K graduations after hours to celebrate all the graduates; encourage Trunk or Treats (now decorated tables in the yard instead of cars which makes more sense for safety) for Halloween; make special Christmas crafts for purchase to use as gifts. The list goes on. The curriculum is very good. My older daughter was over prepared for kindergarten. She was taught all Kindergarten basics in the Pre K class and did very well academically (she still does well). My preschooler only left to go to the district free preschool, otherwise we would still be there. She too was well educated, taught to write her name at 3 as well as spell her name. She can even spell her friends names (both first and last!) The cost is consistent with all the other private preschools in the area except that the camera access is included with tuition. I know other friends that pay extra fees for the camera/app access. The app was accurate and consistently used which allowed open communication between staff and families. I would definitely recommend Childtime Flemington to any families looking for a private daycare/preschool!

They preach the whole "we are here for you" but in reality they are not. Concerns were brought to my attention regarding my child's behavior and I accepted it. Once I stated that if the behaviors were too much and to give me time to find placement elsewhere, I automatically was treated differently. At pick up and drop off, I got no acknowledgment from the director. That isn't how things should be conducted. I wasn't nasty nor disrespectful by any means. The last straw for me was when I was indirectly told by my child's teacher not to come to an event at the school because it might be "too much for him". So if your child follows the rules and doesn't veer off in any way then this place is for you. I really thought it was going to be a wonderful experience and it ended up being the complete opposite.
