I was really disappointed with this place, especially with the "best cheesesteak in town" claim on their sign out front. I went in excited and prepared and hungry and pregnant and placed a huge order for fried mushrooms, a classic loaded steak and cheese, and a BLT to go! Ordering at the counter, I felt unhelped and rushed and confused by the process of ordering, paying, and getting my drink (more like a fast-food style.) The lady who refilled my drink was friendly and kept it full but the fried mushrooms were over-fried and the steak and cheese was incredibly underwhelming. I feel like I've had better at the local mall food court. The BLT was basic and the bacon itself was very thin and over cooked. The stars are for my waitress and their pro second amendment sign out front. Based on other reviews, I feel like I need to give this place a second chance, but I don't feel compelled to because if you can't impress me when I'm hungry and pregnant... then I don't know if you ever can. Go in with low expectations. Philly native or not, if you're looking for "the best cheesesteak in town" you need to look somewhere else. read more

More annoyed that I gave my number for a call-in order, never agreed to any kind of text message updates or correspondence, and no more than 2 minutes after picking up my order I received an automated, unsolicited text message from them. I've tried almost everything on Inky's menu and it's ALL been good. They have a reward system where after 10 visits you get a free cheesesteak on the 11th visit. My next visit I'll get my 3rd free sandwich so it'll be my 33rd visit in 10 months since I first went there. All of the staff are friendly & helpful. After ordering at the counter they bring your food to your table and keep your drinks filled. In addition to cheesesteaks they offer a chicken philly, cheeseburgers, hoagies, canoes (calzone), clubs, Rubens, BLT's, fries, onion rings, chips, fried mushrooms, salads, and more. For kids there's chicken tenders, hot dogs, grilled cheese, and PB&J. Because it's so popular I usually try to go at non-peak times. One of the owners, Stacey, takes customer satisfaction seriously as she makes rounds in the dining room and checks comments on facebook and other sites. All my visits have been A+. 2/27/2017 _ 8 months since my previous review. I still eat there 2-3 times a month. I've been going to Inky's for a year-and-a-half now. Still ranks A+. My wife and I went last night to Inky's for the first time. She had the philly cheesesteak, which was delicious (I stole a piece), and I had the chicken philly, which was good but nearly as good as hers. We shared a fry. It was less than $20 for us both, and that is with her a sweet tea and me a sprite. The price was certainly a good surprise. The place was very welcoming, and exceptionally clean. Our food came out quickly (but it was dead due to being around 8pm at night), and was super hot. Side note:: the one thing I did not like about the chicken philly were the herbs -- it was extremely heavy on thyme, which completely drowned out the flavors of mushroom, chicken, onion, etc.. I was a little disheartened by this, because I really love a good, creamy, chicken philly. Next time I will order the regular philly and my wife cannot wait to try the 'canoe'!! Love this place. The phillies are great, fresh meat and vegetables, plenty of cheese, the bread fresh and chewy. I had the deluxe and my wife ordered the canoe, a deep fried calzone. It was huge. Simple menu- chips, fries, onion rings for sides. Plenty of seating. Not the cheapest, but that's ok for the quality of the food and service you get. read more

We came all the way from Woodruff, South Carolina and they are in Easley, South Carolina which is about a 45 minute. Just for some cheesesteaks. Inky's is the kind of place you forget about and later wish you wouldn't have. Due to its location, it's definitely easy to miss. However, once inside, you're greeted with friendly smiles and great staff. Since cheesesteaks aren't common in the south, it can be a little difficult trying to narrow down what you're in the mood for. However, it doesn't take long for your food to hit the table with the perfect portions and temperature. The food is delicious! Every bite down the last one is filled with goodness. You'll probably start questioning yourself whether to go ahead and order a sandwich to go just in case you get hungry later. We heard a lot about Inky's via a sport radio show so since we were in the area we decided to try it out. I tried the Italian Grinder which was loaded with all the meats and they diced the onions and banana peppers which I loved. My husband did the traditional cheese steak. Excellent Philly cheesesteak! Had the deluxe - onions, mushrooms, peppers, & provolone- & I added lots of mayo. Yum!!! The steak was nicely chopped/shredded, there was plenty of it, & everything tasted great! They have a good variety on the menu... can't wait to go back & try their Italian sausage with onions & peppers or a deep fried calzone!!!
