I eventually folded, though my "night-before anxiety" was real and I was ready to cancel the appointment. When it was finally time to start, I was shivering so visibly from nerves that Katrin had to gently remind me to take a deep breath so I'd stop vibrating ;) ! An hour later? The entire process was super easy and pretty much painless, and the results are awesome! The Perfect Pigment studio is extremely conveniently located right off the embarcadero BART stop so. The office itself is very well appointed, spotlessly clean, and Allison uses top of the line equipment for both the procedure and sanitization. I found Allison to be very attentive to my specific eyeliner preferences and explained everything about the process in detail before the procedure. Everything took about an hour and a half from start to finish. My eyes were a bit sore afterward but felt totally fine the next day and I was able to go out the next day looking like I was wearing eye makeup with nothing on, score! However, none of these factors make up for my results. My brows are uneven, different shapes, the hair strokes were placed far too close together and look like blobs rather than hairs, and the color she chose is way too dark, even a month later after fading (and in full disclosure, I did not ask to see beforehand, because I trusted her, thinking that she was the professional and didn't need me to micro-manage) and I left her office in tears. My outcome/results after the first session were so poor, that I consulted 2 other professionals for a redo/correction, one of whom said that my brows cannot be fixed and I should consider removal, and the other strongly recommended that I cancel my follow up appointment and needs to see them in person before determining if it's even possible to fix them. Allison emailed me to check in a few weeks after the initial session and when I told her that I was still very disappointed, wanted to cancel my follow up appointment, and shared with her pictures of my completely uneven and blob-y brows her response was 'okay, I'll cancel it.' No apology, no effort to remedy, essentially it felt like she was saying 'good riddance.' This is your face. Please, please learn from my mistake and do your due diligence. I noticed afterwards (when it was too late!) that all of the Yelp photos are 'posted by the business owner' - not a single photo from actual clients and this seems like a HUGE red flag. Like I said, Allison was nice and made it easy to book, but all the nice-ness and ease of booking in the world won't fix the mess that will now live on my forehead for up to 2 years...
