Came in for a flash and a touch up on a tattoo with my boyfriend while we're visiting from out of town and we were not disappointed Teresa Rae Silva did an amazing and fast job on both of us and the healing process has been heaven compared to past tattoos. The person who helped us up front was great at getting our questions answered and added a great vibe to the place:) highly recommend, we will be back. read more

I came to get my first tattoo and I had an amazing time. The decor is so nice inside the building and i was treated with care. Lily did my tattoo and I was very happy with the outcome. Definitely a spot to come back to. read more

I was a walk-in, somewhat later in the day around 6 PM. I just got a quick piece, I wanted my scar to mark my hometown in Texas with some works around it. Drew up the design in less then ten minutes and tattooed me in just about the same time. Pretty light handed, did a great job in my opinion. 80 bucks isn't steep at all for me. read more

I love Inkfluence and have had great experiences there. Getting a tattoo is always a touchy experience, and strong opinions and clashing ideas can make for very awkward times. However, both artists that I've gone to at Inkfluence have been polite, professional, and respectful of my ideas, and most importantly, done an expert job. I went to Lance to get a poorly done upper rib tattoo reworked, and was thrilled with how it turned out. I hope to get some of his original work at some point and am grateful he was willing to clean up somebody else's mess. My boyfriend and I both got fresh ink from Tim this last weekend - he got an upper arm piece, and I got a small simple piece added to my wrist work - and both of us loved how professional and nice he was, not to mention just plain great at tattooing. He was completely open to working with what we brought him, and I would definitely go back to him. Note: if you yourself are an artist wanting to design your own tattoo down to the nuts and bolts, or are just really picky about details and design, this may or may not be the place for you. The artists here each have their own very distinct and developed style, and may not be too keen on just copying someone else's design. This is also not a place that I would feel too comfortable bringing in a design off of Pinterest. I mention that because I personally think there's nothing wrong with getting a Pinterest tattoo or one you've seen on the internet or designed yourself. But based on vibes I've gotten (and one or two stories I've heard), Inkfluence may not be the right place for that. I would still go ahead and ask, just because their tattoo quality is so good across the board, but be aware that it may not be looked upon favorably. I have personally had awesome experiences at Inkfluence. I would recommend almost anyone to at least talk to an artist there (Lance or Tim!) and see what you think about their ideas for your next tattoo! If you vibe with them and end up getting work done there, you absolutely won't regret it skill-wise and quality-wise. read more

I went to a couple of different places to check out the artists. Another local Lubbock shop (I won't mention their name, they'll get my bad review later) were just completely rude and I had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to even address me! I went to Inkfluence and as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by incredibly friendly people. I schedule to have my tattoo done the very next day by Jason. I can't tell you what an amazing job he did! I'm so happy I ended up getting it done here. The entire staff was great, my tattoo looks AMAZING, and I will definitely go back to have Jason do more of my work. read more

My original review still stands, I just wanted to add that I got inked by Annie this spring with a very nice hip piece. I was very impressed with her talent. As I said before, I would trust any artist here with my canvas. Don't screw around and do something you'll later regret! Just go to Inkfluence instead. read more

Courtney at Red Mantis piercing is friggin amazing. Extremely professional, clean, organized, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, makes great suggestions, and really is just an overall amazing human. She has done several piercings for me now (septum, daith, and tragus). She has also pierced my husband. I also have had her change my jewelry since she is so clean and has perfectly sized hands for making the process minimally painful. I just love her, love the artists in this shop. Highly recommend this crew!! read more

I haven't experience the other places in Lubbock to get tattoos, but this place will definitely satisfy you. The artists are top-notch. I've gotten both of mine there. One from Tim, the other from Lacey. Both of them PERFECT. Good atmosphere, too. Not the typical, "scary, smelly, sweaty, PAIN, hole in the wall" tattoo parlor. I will never get a tattoo from anywhere else in Lubbock. read more

Best tattoos in the LBK. Recently my friend Katie got a sweet tattoo of a chinese cat on her arm. Lance Staggs was the man on the job. He was very nice and precise. He was professional and seemed like he really cared about quality art. Inkfluence is very clean. Really Clean. I might eat a donut off of the floor if I dropped it here. The interior is very appealing to the eye. It has lots of awesome art displayed amongst cool neon lights and glass cases of earrings and such. I have been here numerous times to watch friends get tattoos and have always been super impressed. The prices seem middle of the road. They might be 10% more than other shops in Lubbock, but if you aren't willing to pay an extra 10% for a quality and clean tattoo then shame on you. It is going to be permanently on your body forever, I think it is worth the small splurge, okay? I have a colored rose on my side rib cage. I got it about 5 years back. Around a year ago I decided I wanted to get the colors re-popping and refreshed. Tim was the random appointment I made. He was also really great and professional. He did an excellent job touching up my color and did it for a really fair price. If you want some ink or something pierced this is your place. read more

The word "sanitary" comes to mind. Nice people. I got a conch piercing (pronounced "conk" in America, like the shell BTW) almost 2 months ago and had a great experience. Courtney was stellar in skill and in manner. You know how it's obvious you're dealing with someone who is just claiming a paycheck vs someone who goes above and beyond to do their job like a Boss? Yeah, she was clearly the latter. Red Mantis Piercing (her part of Inkfluence) opens at 5pm on weekdays and was super busy, so I wish I called for an appointment. She took the time to make sure I understood aftercare and had my questions answered. read more

I absolutely adore my lavender flower tattoo. It was my first and Annie was very easy going about it and did a beautiful job. I will definitely be making other tattoo appointments here. read more

I drove from Clovis, NM to see what this place was about. It's extremely clean and the people there are really friendly. I had a bad tattoo from a previous time that needed to get covered up. It was a panther that looked more like a rat. Mike drew up a Polynesian tattoo for me that covered it up perfectly. Thanks for the extermination Mike. I would come back here before anywhere else for more tattoo work. read more

Poor/rude costumer service. Every single time I have called or gone up there to get a tattoo or piercing they have been extremely snobby to me. I refuse to spend/waste my money here again. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

My husband and I have been getting tattooed by Jason for years. Even when we moved to Austin where there are countless numbers of tattoo shops, we always waited to make a trip back to Lubbock to get work done. He has customized every piece and couldn't have made them more perfect. We are constantly getting asked where we get our tattoos, and we wouldn't trust anyone else. As long as we are getting tattoos, we will only ever go to Inkfluence! read more

A group of us went in for piercings and where greeted with kindness and patience. Courtney was very professional and approachable. 10/10 would recommend Courteney for any body piercing! read more

Courtney is an amazing piercer and I'm so glad that I chose to go to her! She is incredibly professional, kind, and honest when it comes to the piercing and aftercare. I loved that she walked me through every step of the piercing and made sure I was completely comfortable but kept it light with humor and sass that allowed me to fully relax. I will definitely be going back to her again!! read more

Great job with piercings and the pierced had years and years of of experience but compared to other top tattoo shops in LBK (or in general), the price was WAY too pricey... read more

Stopped in to check out the ink artists and left with a new piercing. This shop is CLEAN, beautiful and well run. Each artists has their own room and runs it like their own business No kids, no drunks and no problems make for a great adult experience. I opted to get a new ear piercing and Red Mantis Piercing did not disappoint. She was very professional, explained care and cleaning in depth, and was fast and with little pain while piercing cartilage. She has many many years of experience and a pro at placement. Also, she was able to lay out the pros and cons of the options I was considering which was very helpful in my decision. Nice jewelry selection as well. With tip and upgraded jewelry my piercing was $60. If you are looking for cheap and anything goes, then this is not your place. I was looking for clean, experienced and exceptional work and that is exactly what I received and paid for. Impressed with this shop being run like a successful and customer oriented business. All staff in the shop was knowledgable, helpful and creative. read more

Well...to start things off I would like to share that this would have been my very first tattoo. With that being said my expectations were not high when I first walked into this shop. But knowing what I wanted in a tattoo it was just about finding which artist could do it. And then found this establishment and it had high ratings so, I went there and asked if any artist could do the tattoo that I wanted. Tim was able to do it so, I put down my deposit for a specific time to get the tattoo the next day. So I show up the next day he had another customer in the booth. I wasn't to concerned about that but after 45 minutes I had began to wonder when he would be able to get to me. When I went to his booth and asked when he might be able to get to me he said "in about 2 hours." He already knew that he was behind and did not text or call me to let me know that he was behind. When I told him that I was not able to do the later time he did not have the deposit that I had put down for the time slot. The unprofessional attitude and lack of respect that I had received was unacceptable. read more

TERRIBLE Customer service!! I went in with my friend and my mother, both times everyone is just rude! When we arrived nobody spoke to us either time. Both of the artist were rude and never tried to work with you on your art work. Both of the artist I've dealt with talked in a condescending tone. If you are already nervous about the situation the last thing you need t]is to be talked to like you are stupid. If you call just to ask a question they are rude. Influence is supposed to be the best shop in Lubbock? Not sure where they got that information. If you ever consider going to Influence I hope you seriously consider somebody else, anybody else! read more

About three days ago, I went into Inkfluence to get my lip pierced. Other than the less than friendly service, the piercing experience was terrible. Inkfluence has always had such a great reputation, I'm not sure what happened and when they stopped caring about the quality of work leaving their shop. The problem started after she had already pierced me. After my stud fell out she began to fish around in my lip trying to replace the jewelry for about 5 minutes. When that failed she stuck me once again and screwed in the jewelry. The problem continued when she used jewelry that was not only too small but had a tiny ball on the inside. Needless to say that became lodged inside of my lip. Not wanting to return to the shop that screwed me over I went to Big Buddha where I was given the correct jewelry, polite service, and an explanation of how WRONG Inkfluence had pierced me. I would NOT reccomend this shop for piercings. Save your money, you can get your piercings done for way cheaper and for better quality at any other shop. read more

My tattoo is okay. Went with some friends while in town visiting earlier this year. I decided to get a small tattoo. I thought the artist and I had a good understanding of what I wanted, the artist acknowledged everything I said. I hate red or really dark pink tones on me and this was our discussion. When he was done he had used dark pink instead of the lighter bubble gum pink! UGH! Anyways, art work is good but communication could be better. Wasn't really friendly but not sure that's a requirement from a tattoo artist? read more
