I love Inkfluence and have had great experiences there. Getting a tattoo is always a touchy experience, and strong opinions and clashing ideas can make for very awkward times. However, both artists that I've gone to at Inkfluence have been polite, professional, and respectful of my ideas, and most importantly, done an expert job. I went to Lance to get a poorly done upper rib tattoo reworked, and was thrilled with how it turned out. I hope to get some of his original work at some point and am grateful he was willing to clean up somebody else's mess. My boyfriend and I both got fresh ink from Tim this last weekend - he got an upper arm piece, and I got a small simple piece added to my wrist work - and both of us loved how professional and nice he was, not to mention just plain great at tattooing. He was completely open to working with what we brought him, and I would definitely go back to him. Note: if you yourself are an artist wanting to design your own tattoo down to the nuts and bolts, or are just really picky about details and design, this may or may not be the place for you. The artists here each have their own very distinct and developed style, and may not be too keen on just copying someone else's design. This is also not a place that I would feel too comfortable bringing in a design off of Pinterest. I mention that because I personally think there's nothing wrong with getting a Pinterest tattoo or one you've seen on the internet or designed yourself. But based on vibes I've gotten (and one or two stories I've heard), Inkfluence may not be the right place for that. I would still go ahead and ask, just because their tattoo quality is so good across the board, but be aware that it may not be looked upon favorably. I have personally had awesome experiences at Inkfluence. I would recommend almost anyone to at least talk to an artist there (Lance or Tim!) and see what you think about their ideas for your next tattoo! I went to a couple of different places to check out the artists. Another local Lubbock shop (I won't mention their name, they'll get my bad review later) were just completely rude and I had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to even address me! I went to Inkfluence and as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by incredibly friendly people. I schedule to have my tattoo done the very next day by Jason. I can't tell you what an amazing job he did! I'm so happy I ended up getting it done here. The word "sanitary" comes to mind. Nice people. I got a conch piercing (pronounced "conk" in America, like the shell BTW) almost 2 months ago and had a great experience. Courtney was stellar in skill and in manner. You know how it's obvious you're dealing with someone who is just claiming a paycheck vs someone who goes above and beyond to do their job like a Boss? Best tattoos in the LBK. Recently my friend Katie got a sweet tattoo of a chinese cat on her arm. Lance Staggs was the man on the job. He was very nice and precise. He was professional and seemed like he really cared about quality art. Inkfluence is very clean. Really Clean. I might eat a donut off of the floor if I dropped it here. The interior is very appealing to the eye. It has lots of awesome art displayed amongst cool neon lights and glass cases of earrings and such. I have been here numerous times to watch friends get tattoos and have always been super impressed. The prices seem middle of the road. They might be 10% more than other shops in Lubbock, but if you aren't willing to pay an extra 10% for a quality and clean tattoo then shame on you. It is going to be permanently on your body forever, I think it is worth the small splurge, okay? I have a colored rose on my side rib cage. I got it about 5 years back. Around a year ago I decided I wanted to get the colors re-popping and refreshed. Tim was the random appointment I made. He was also really great and professional. I drove from Clovis, NM to see what this place was about. It's extremely clean and the people there are really friendly. I had a bad tattoo from a previous time that needed to get covered up. It was a panther that looked more like a rat. Mike drew up a Polynesian tattoo for me that covered it up perfectly. Thanks for the extermination Mike. Stopped in to check out the ink artists and left with a new piercing. This shop is CLEAN, beautiful and well run. Each artists has their own room and runs it like their own business No kids, no drunks and no problems make for a great adult experience. I opted to get a new ear piercing and Red Mantis Piercing did not disappoint. She was very professional, explained care and cleaning in depth, and was fast and with little pain while piercing cartilage. She has many many years of experience and a pro at placement. Also, she was able to lay out the pros and cons of the options I was considering which was very helpful in my decision. Nice jewelry selection as well. With tip and upgraded jewelry my piercing was $60. If you are looking for cheap and anything goes, then this is not your place. I was looking for clean, experienced and exceptional work and that is exactly what I received and paid for. Impressed with this shop being run like a successful and customer oriented business. Well...to start things off I would like to share that this would have been my very first tattoo. With that being said my expectations were not high when I first walked into this shop. But knowing what I wanted in a tattoo it was just about finding which artist could do it. And then found this establishment and it had high ratings so, I went there and asked if any artist could do the tattoo that I wanted. Tim was able to do it so, I put down my deposit for a specific time to get the tattoo the next day. So I show up the next day he had another customer in the booth. I wasn't to concerned about that but after 45 minutes I had began to wonder when he would be able to get to me. When I went to his booth and asked when he might be able to get to me he said "in about 2 hours." He already knew that he was behind and did not text or call me to let me know that he was behind. When I told him that I was not able to do the later time he did not have the deposit that I had put down for the time slot. The unprofessional attitude and lack of respect that I had received was unacceptable. read more

TERRIBLE Customer service!! I went in with my friend and my mother, both times everyone is just rude! When we arrived nobody spoke to us either time. Both of the artist were rude and never tried to work with you on your art work. Both of the artist I've dealt with talked in a condescending tone. If you are already nervous about the situation the last thing you need t]is to be talked to like you are stupid. If you call just to ask a question they are rude. Influence is supposed to be the best shop in Lubbock? Not sure where they got that information. About three days ago, I went into Inkfluence to get my lip pierced. Other than the less than friendly service, the piercing experience was terrible. Inkfluence has always had such a great reputation, I'm not sure what happened and when they stopped caring about the quality of work leaving their shop. The problem started after she had already pierced me. After my stud fell out she began to fish around in my lip trying to replace the jewelry for about 5 minutes. When that failed she stuck me once again and screwed in the jewelry. The problem continued when she used jewelry that was not only too small but had a tiny ball on the inside. Needless to say that became lodged inside of my lip. Not wanting to return to the shop that screwed me over I went to Big Buddha where I was given the correct jewelry, polite service, and an explanation of how WRONG Inkfluence had pierced me. I would NOT reccomend this shop for piercings. Save your money, you can get your piercings done for way cheaper and for better quality at any other shop. read more

My tattoo is okay. Went with some friends while in town visiting earlier this year. I decided to get a small tattoo. I thought the artist and I had a good understanding of what I wanted, the artist acknowledged everything I said. I hate red or really dark pink tones on me and this was our discussion. When he was done he had used dark pink instead of the lighter bubble gum pink! UGH! Anyways, art work is good but communication could be better.
