Now, even a client with a simple design can be persnickety, and I was no exception. Sean was patient until we achieved a Vision we both liked. If you need collaboration or ideas - this guy has them in spades! This ain't a local parlor - this is a destination! If you live in Mass or South County it is "worth the trip!"

When I called he was the guy who answered the phone around 2 months ago when I booked a tattoo and stated confidently he could handle what I was looking for. 2. I sent him a design that it took me a year to pick out, little did I know, it was a more common tattoo than I thought it to be (not my intention but it was meaningful to me). Jon made it up in his own style so that it does look different and unique to me. He also took my suggestions about how I wanted to change it for me. 3. The customer service I received was unrivaled. While most of the store is booked out quite a few weeks, he was easy to stay in touch with if I had an idea about how to change the design and never left me hanging for more than a day during the wait. Jon took my ideas, incorporated some of his own and I couldn't be happier. It was affordable, the customer service was awesome, the end result was above expectations. Lastly, if you are reticent about getting your first tattoo, ask for Jon, not only was he a great frigging dude, but he's fine with taking a break a few times an hour so you can both stretch out and feel comfortable. Not my first tattoo, but my first 5 star experience and a local experience with local artists. I will be back if I need something again in the future. Lastly, the shop is clean, everyone followed covid protocols, you never feel unsafe or at risk there. This is an A+ operation filled with A+ artists and workers. If you're looking for some ink, go to Providence Tattoo, and if you can, go see Jon.

After about a year of going back and forth, I finally decided to get my first tattoo. I did some…read moreresearch to find a place near me, and came up with Phoenix Tattoo. After further investigation, I decided to go with Rhiannon who is a true professional and been in business a long time I was very glad that I did. I found a design that was a nice tribute to my Mom, and Rhi made it a reality. It looks even better than it did in the print that I saw. Everything was done with minimal discomfort, beyond some minor pain that went away by the next day. The healing process went very well. I'm not sure when I will get another tattoo, but I will gladly return to Rhi and Phoenix Tattoo when I'm ready.

I had a phoenix tattoo done using reference artwork that showed the direction I wanted. The…read morefinished tattoo ultimately landed quite far from that original vision. I lived with it for some time before reaching back out to the original artist rather than immediately taking it to someone else. We met in person and had what I thought was a very honest and productive conversation. We compared the original reference with the finished tattoo, and the artist acknowledged that she had been burned out and not herself when she did the original work. I genuinely appreciated that honesty and was encouraged when she offered to redesign and rework the piece. After several rounds of communication and design work, we eventually discussed the cost of the correction. Her current rate is $175 per hour, and she offered to perform the rework at her former rate of $150 per hour. I explained that I was completely comfortable paying for any new work or expansion beyond the original tattoo, but given our conversation and her acknowledgment of what happened with the original piece, I did not feel comfortable paying $150 per hour for the entirety of the corrective work. I asked whether there could be some distinction between correcting the original tattoo and the additional work I was requesting. Her response was simply that the $150 rate was already below her current rate. When I respectfully declined to move forward under those terms, the response was, "Ok best of luck!" I don't expect an artist to work for free, nor did I ask for that. I was willing to pay for the substantial new work involved. What disappointed me was the way responsibility for correcting the acknowledged problems with the original work was ultimately handled. Tattooing is permanent, and how an artist responds when something doesn't go as intended matters just as much to me as the work itself. Unfortunately, this experience changed my opinion considerably, and I will be having another artist rework the piece.

Pedro was my artist and he is so skilled and talented. It turned out better than I had imagined. He really seemed to appreciate attentiveness to detail and getting it right. He let me take my time and was very thoughtful through it all. He was pleasant to sit with - not too chatty but not at all cold/distant, which was perfect for me. The shop itself is clean and a great space. Windows and great lighting. The price was fair. Would definitely recommend the shop and Pedro!!

Place was completely dead and the woman at the front desk was like 80 years old and acted like she didn't want any customers that night. Okay whatever. The tattooer had about 45 face piercings and looked like pinhead from hellraiser. To each their own, we don't judge but we left thinking it was an odd place and we probably wouldn't be back. However!! Flash forward, my sister and I went in 2 weeks ago for piercings and had a fantastic experience with Jess!! She was quick and professional and charged reasonable prices. There were several people in getting tattoos and another group of people getting piercings before us. We were extremely pleasantly surprised. Our piercings have healed perfectly and without issues. We got a belly button re-done and a new antihelix. The way Jess did them, we didnt have any pain or discomfort. Guy working at the desk was laid back and friendly. We will be back!
