Came here two weeks ago for nipple piercings. Tess and her apprentice Brittany are very nice. I was in and out of the shop within 20 minutes. An hour later I arrive home and my boobs are in EXCRUCIATING pain to where I can't even lift my arms. I grabbed an ice pack and couldn't believe my eyes as I took off my bra. My left breast was completely PURPLE!!!! I panicked and picked up the phone to call Tess to ask if this is normal. I called 4-5 times and there was no answer. I went straight to kaiser ER. I was told by the doctor that I was pierced completely wrong. She actually pierced MY BREAST not my nipple and punctured a blood vessel. They removed the piercings right away. I sat there for two hours with a doctor squeezing my breast to remove the blood under my skin. Two weeks later and my breast is still purple. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. BOTCHED. JOB. I cannot begin to express my distaste for this place. I went to get my belly button pierced for my birthday. I have multiple piercings, so I know a thing or two about keeping a piercing clean, after-care, and whatnot. I was a walk in and was treated disrespectfully. Tess was very short with me and didn't show much kindness, where I expected some sort warmth or welcome I was met with none. Wait-time was whatever, there were people ahead of me so I was patient. It got infected quickly. and I consulted with my usual piercer. The reason I came here, for the first and last time, was because I had recently moved to Pomona for school and this place had good yelp reviews. My piercer told me that she had not pierced with enough skin and that she pierced with fake jewelry which caused a reaction. With regular visits to my usual piercer, we both did our best to keep it clean and try our best to let the infection drain enough to a point where we could take it out and let the piercing heal. When I first came in, I was expecting Tess to be the piercer. But then I found out she wasn't in that day and Mike would be the one to do it. One of the other staff said he was the one who taught Tess how to pierce, so that made me feel a little bit more comfortable. Talking to Mike, he was very informative (my old helix closed up even after a year of healing because it never healed fully. I had used PVC from the first tattoo place I pierced it and found out from Mike that it was not a very good material to use for healing) and he was extremely patient and kind. The piercing didn't hurt too bad (3/10 needle going through and 5/10 putting the stud in) and the piercing was very quick (maybe less than 5 mins). He also went over after care for my earring. Walked in with a friend about a month ago, on a Saturday afternoon for a septum piercing and a double nostril for the gal pal! My septum is healing nicely per cleaning advice given, as is my friends double nostril. Tess and her assistant were sanitary and efficient. It seemed like it took 30 minutes MAX for the both of us. I came here to get a quote and staff was friendly but I didn't feel welcomed. I have tattoos...quite a few of them. Most are covered when i wear a regular tee. I came in not showing any ink and I could sense they were assuming this was my first tattoo and treated me like so. I had a print out of a quote I wanted over my stomach and I had it sized and everything!!!! All that was needed was to make a stencil and I was ready to go. They told me the price in the 300s. I was shocked, I said really? and they told me how this was a professional shop and they only did good work here (refer to the quote). I thanked them for their time and left. I ended up going to another shop and they charged me 60 [Which was their minimum]. The artist there even told me sorry because he would have done it cheaper if it was not for the minimum. I cannot stop crying. I got my first tattoo last night of personal art my fiance had made drew up for me, and now my body is RUINED. I had been saving up for a tattoo (and as a freelance artist its extremely hard to make a lot to afford ink!) and decided to go last night, seeing as they were not too busy in the shop, and the base price for a 4 inch tat was $80 bucks. I went in, showed them my art, the two girls behind the counter were extremely aloof and irritated when I told them I had never done this before... They told me it would be an hour wait, alnd that my tattoo would round about to $400 DOLLARS...... I told them thank you, but no thank you... The girl SCREAMED for me to come back, and offered $200... I still thought that was ridiculous seeing as it was just lines, no colour, and it is so small... So finally I got it down to $100... The "ARTIST" I got was named Elvis, apparently doesn't even work there and "owns" another shop in Riverside (which he didn't give me the name when I asked...I believe NOW that it is a shop called "Ink Junky") He pulled, and yanked every which way at my arm (ways I know you are not supposed to do when doing a tattoo) DIDN'T WEAR GLOVES, and made me bleed a multitude of times. I was in TERRIBLE amounts of pain, and whenever I tried to make any kind of conversation, he rolled his eyes, or sighed heavily. I was extremely uncomfortable, but excited to see the out come... By the time he "FINISHED" my tattoo, it is completely (excuse my language) Fuc*ed up!!! Original photo is of my original character as a Foo dog... "artist" forgot his top teeth, shaky lines on plugs he has in his hears... ONE ear isnt even complete! Didn't finish his other ear. Didn't add spots in the artwork like requested.My fiance tried really hard to make the text flow nicely with the art...He completely fuc*ed that up.... The tattoo basically just looks like someone took a marker and scribbled all over my arm. Again I say, this person didn't wear gloves!!!! When he was finished, he covered it so fast I didn't even get to see it. He put a NAPKIN on my fresh, heavily bleeding skin, and told me not to touch it. I excitedly said thank you and gave the jerk a $5 tip. I left for about 10 minutes and then I bled so much the paper fell off to reveal how awful he did... When I went back to ask them to fix the problem or else I wanted a refund, they said "Well, you are getting it coloured eventually, right? No one will even notice." WHAT THE HELL...? The guy ran out of there as soon as I left, I didn't get a refund, my skin is bleeding all over, and I got NO AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS.... Honestly, I expect some kind of SOMETHING from this shop, because my skin is screwed, this is not the art I paid for, and I refuse to have it on my body... I would MUCH rather CUT IT OFF with a SCALPEL then look at this atrocity every day. DONT GO HERE... read more

I got my first tattoo here today.. it was truly awesome. Shawn did all of my work- I told him that I wanted a lion's head with mane on my upper arm, and he did all that he could to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted. He drew it all out for me and had me tattooed within about 2 weeks. The place is clean, organized, and full of really interesting stuff to look at. Shawn's not much of a talker, so I'd recommend bringing a book or something to read. It didn't hurt that bad at all until he got to doing some of the longer strokes that created the lion's mane, but even then it wasn't unbearable or anything. The price was pretty standard as far as tattoos go ($150 per hour of work), and I'm definitely happy with what I have. They also made sure to give me the best aftercare tips and such.
