Casa Cubana Great…read morecatering and cafe with incredible food and top notch service. Cater a party, or stop in for takeout you will not be disappointed. If you want authentic Cuban food this is the place. The primary menu is a classic Cuban cuisine possessing flavorful savory food. All the ingredients used are highest quality. The key factors to a taste is freshness of all the food combined with delicious recipes. Casa Cubana does it right. Food quality is superb, prices are shockingly reasonable, and service is excellent. I have eaten from here several times and at every event I become more impressed. There are too many menu items to mention. I can guarantee every selection is delicious but display makes it even more appetizing. The photos on the website do not even give justice to the array of food presented when they cater an event. If you are catering a large party, a small dinner party, or dinner for two, you won't be disappointed. The entire process of catering the food is well executed. Completed with an appetizing presentation. I wish I took photos of the food, but everyone was too excited to eat. Top notch from the moment they arrived. You will be treated as if you are someone special no matter how busy they are. Diana is highly attentive and she makes sure every detail is met. She helps you make your menu suggestions based on your input and her experience. She plays a role in every step of the process. I had an excellent experience. They arrived on time. The Food was hot and the portions were large. They were so efficient setup was in minutes. They had everything needed which took the pressure off me. Name tags for all Items and serving utensils were placed appropriately on the display. They have perfected the Clean up process with their self contained trays so clean up is super efficient. Don't forget to order dessert because they offer the most delicious creamy flan to complete this beautiful dining experience. Diana, Gerardo and their entire staff possess the talent, dedication and organization for success. Once you eat this food you will leave with a taste of Cuba that will have you coming back for more. I Highly recommend this establishment and will definitely be catering from them again.

*Quarantine Delivery Review*…read more It was my fiancé's birthday and the Quarantine Birthday Boy wanted Cuban food, so that's what we ordered. Unfortunately, there were not a lot of Cuban options delivering to our area. It was between this place, and another one we had tried before, which was meh - so we decided to give Casa Cubana shot. Unfortunately, most of the things were not hot when it arrived because it took longer than the quoted one hour delivery time. We ordered: Chicharron de Pollo - nice flavor but a little on the salty side. They should probably also pick a different packaging for it because it was no longer crispy when it arrived Camerones el Ajillo - not much garlic flavor Albondigas - meatballs were nice and tender but again, a little too salty Lechon Asado (with yellow rice) - pork was tender, no complaints here Paella Valencia - wasn't a fan of the seafood Cubano - the pork was a bit dry and had a leftover-y taste. I liked the fresh plantain chips that it was served with though We also ordered some extra sides: black beans, yuca frita, and maduros. I normally don't love maduros but I really like these. Even more than the yuca frita (which is my typical go-to side) Overall, I would say the meat dishes are good, but the seafood ones are not that great. I also liked that they had all these small dishes, tapas style - so that we got to try a lot of different things, without breaking the bank or eating too much. I don't know if they can adjust their salt levels. Since they have 'Catering' in their name, I assume they make everything in large batches. But if they can, I wouldn't mind giving it another try.

Sitting up close to the kitchen, we got to see them cook and plate their appetizers, entree and desserts dishes from scratch, incorporating the ingredients that were given to them. Throughout the cooking, we also interacted with the chefs, asking them about the dishes, and also getting some samples of the dishes before they were served. We arrived for Sunday dinner reservation right on time. It was small space with about 20 spots. BYOB place, no cork fee. Half of the seat were around the kitchen. There was a scoring sheet for each guest with names of both chefs, the ingredients of the day and the rules. The chefs got 45 minutes for preparing their appetizers, 35 minutes for entree and 20 minutes for desserts. It was impressive to see both chefs were precise with their timing. The dishes prepared by both chefs were so masterful, had intricacy of combining the ingredients and coming up with some sumptuous flavors. Salmon and steaks were cooked perfectly. It was extremely difficult to score the chefs on barest of margins and pick a winner. But per the rules I did pick Chef Ryan Beegel over Chef Alexis Sicklick. The host was also super nice and funny. She did a super job of explaining all aspects of the dinner, cleaning out plates after each round and serving all the drinks. Truly it was one of a kind TV Show like experience for us.

The food was simply put - amazing!! My personal favorite was the short rib (unreal) and everyone at the wedding commented on how amazing the food was. I have never been to a wedding where the food was complimented so much. Finally, the staff was absolutely fabulous and highly complimented by our guests. They were kind, accommodating, attentive, and extremely professional. Would highly recommend LDV for your event!

From the beginning of the process, Scott was responsive and worked with our schedule for the tasting. We were able to make a selection from many dishes and after trying their food we were sold! Especially the NY strip steak with bleu cheese! We received so many compliments on the food and many of our guests even went to compliment the kitchen team themselves! The Balinese chicken turned out to be my favorite, but they were all amazing! They made way more than enough food for everyone and brought containers for our guest and us to take the leftovers home. We love not wasting food! With our budget, we were thinking we could only get a decent caterer, but we lucked out with LDV. They are without a doubt one of the best in the business! They catered to our needs and even made suggestions on how to reduce cost. In our case we brought our own drinks for their bartender to serve, which helped reduce cost. This turned out amazing and our bartender, Mark, helped make it a smooth and tipsy night for our guests! Last but not the least, their service was top-notch. They helped with the buffet so people there would be no crowd and made sure everyone got their food in a timely manner and even made plates for my husband and I so we didn't need to take the time! We were ecstatic with the service and it was one of the smoothest parts of the entire wedding. 5-stars all-around.

On our way back from New York, we picked up our car and wanted one last quick, authentic food…read moreexperience before heading home. I had been saying for days that I was craving a good Italian deli sandwich, and my partner came across Vito's & Son Italian Deli in Hoboken. Well, it does not get much more authentic than this. What an experience. You know how some Italian restaurants say they make you feel like family? At Vito's, we actually felt it the moment we walked in. The welcome was warm, genuine, and immediate -- the kind of hospitality that cannot be faked. As we browsed the extensive deli menu, I had to ask what "mutz" meant. I am from Chicago, where we usually say "mozz," so this was my first time seeing it written in what I can only call New Jersey-ian. Without hesitation, they gave us a sample of their fresh, in-house-made mozzarella, and it was absolute perfection -- soft, fresh, creamy, and exactly what fresh mozzarella should be. We took several subs to go, and every single one was delicious. I had The Vito's, which was incredibly satisfying -- packed with that classic Italian deli flavor and everything I had been craving in a sub, and then some. My partner had The Sophia Loren, which was also full of flavor and definitely worth ordering again. My mom had what I ordered as a custom Caprese sandwich since I could not find it on the extensive menu -- mutz, fresh basil, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette, and herbs. It was so fresh, simple, and delicious. We also tried the arancini. The traditional one brought back memories of what used to be some of the best arancini in Chicago at Monastero's, which sadly is no longer around. That is not a comparison I make lightly. The cheese arancini was also wonderful, and the sauce was divine. Personal preference: I could have used just a touch more salt in the sauce, but the flavor was still excellent. Of course, we could not leave without dessert. The cannoli had the perfect balance of softness and crunch, and the filling was delicious. And naturally, we had to take home a pound of that fresh mutz. When we got home, we turned the leftovers into the perfect little Italian deli dinner. We thinly sliced the remaining halves of the subs, added fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette, and wine. It became a charcuterie-style dinner that felt like the perfect ending to the trip. Taking a detour through Hoboken was absolutely worth it. Some Italian restaurants claim to treat you like family, but at Vito's & Son, we truly felt it. We are already planning another stop on our next trip because we still need to try the homemade freezer dishes -- and, of course, the homemade tiramisu. If you have not been to Vito's & Son Italian Deli, do yourself a favor and go. Authentic, welcoming, delicious, and completely worth the detour.
