Hello Yelpers!!! It was my friend's birthday weekend and Ink lounge was one of our stops. After we had dinner at Bourbon N' Bubbles we took a walk to Ink Lounge. When we got there our ID's were checked at the door. We walked upstairs to where our table was which was an open space. It was a bit cold that night so we had heaters. I feel the DJ could have done a lil' more but I would still recommend this spot. Plus our waiter or hostess was very sweet. read more

This place is incredible. The sushi was amazing & the ambience even better. The cocktails are fancy & delicious. Must head upstairs to the rooftop for a great time. Service was fantastic- shout out to our waitress Cass for the amazing menu & drink recommendations. The fried sushi was to die for! That is a must have. Can't wait to come back here! read more

Zero Stars for this anti black establishment. Every time I try to enter this place they make a rule about what I'm wearing. "No Jordan" well I'm wearing dunks... "oh well no gym shoes tonight". Next time.... "No cargos". Now this weekend I'm walking up there and they said "no camo".... Please read what I said carefully. They told me no camo! Like bruh y'all acting like I'm gonna invisible in this club for wearing camo. Like if you don't want black dudes in the club just say that. I look in the window and see black women though. Everything is not about race but it's clear what's happening here. read more

We came into town to celebrate my birthday and ended up at Ink Rooftop & lounge. The vibes were great! Such a pretty esthetic on each level (downstairs upstairs and rooftop). More of a club feel downstairs and a chill vibe upstairs. Will be back! read more

Came upon this amazing place while looking for Happy Hours on King Street. This lounge is absolutely beautiful!!! Happy Hour is Wednesday- Saturday (I think?) 5-7pm. Everything is 1/2 off. We ordered a couple of cocktails which were both sooo delicious and wine. We ordered the Shrimp Sliders which were absolutely amazing!!! We were expecting 1-2 sliders, but instead we got 3 generous sliders. We agreed this was the best thing we have had in Charleston!!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great venue, great service except that they offer an "Expresso" Martini that didn't have "Expresso" despite the bartender telling me that they have do put expresso in the drink. SMH The waitress, Ariana, confirm my suspicion that they don't have an espresso machine. Great view, but left a bad taste in my mouth. Left the drink at the bar. read more

I've been here before but didn't have the food so since I was downtown we decided to try on a Sunday night.. ambiance was so chill and great vibe. The Bartender - Rob - was PHENOMENAL! Him and my husband talked all night and had so much in common it was so intriguing. We had shrimp hibachi and 2 sushi rolls - summer roll and Hot momma in which all were very good. I think the summer roll is an all time favorite anf i dont even like spicy tuna like that, but that roll was AMAZING!!! I will definitely come back! read more

Went here for a bachelor party. Coming from out of town I wasn't sure if Charleston would have table service but I was blown away by the attention to detail and care the staff took to make sure we had a phenomenal time. Cass took care of us and I have never had a serve as attentive or as sharp. 10/10 recommend Music was great too read more

I called 3 weeks before my big night where I was proposing to my girlfriend.They made my night absolutely outstanding. Victoria, the manager, had every last detail covered. Women BEWARE.... My girlfriend was celebrating with a wedding party last weekend and experienced an extremely traumatizing event caused by Ink staff. She walked downstairs to make sure her friend got into her cab safely and upon coming back inside, the "security" was EXTREMELY aggressive and would not let her come back upstairs to retrieve her phone and belongings. This back and forth led to the the roughly 6'1 white security guard with sandy hair and beard shoving and pinning her against the wall, demanding she leave with threats to call the police as she attempted to defend herself by clawing into his arm with her nails. This traumatizing event and excuse for order by physical forced used on a 120 pound young women was completely inappropriate. Also me being local to the area, this is not the first time I've witnessed or heard of unnecessary and irresponsible physical force used toward people attempting to enjoy their night on King street. There are plenty of others clubs downtown that don't have these problems where staff will actually support allowing you and your friends to have a good time. I hope women and men beware of ink for their own safety and risk for having a night ruined by this establishment. read more

We were curious to see what Ink is like so we went for a a drink after dinner. The place was pretty empty when we arrived at 8 pm but I imagine it was hopping a couple hours later. The decor and art is contemporary and bright. We really enjoyed the ambience. The cocktail waitresses all wear neon green little outfits (they don't wear much) and the bartenders are all very well dressed. It's a different feel than what I'm used to in Charleston, but it was nice. There were two bachelorette groups that came while we were there-I how the place got hopping with more entertainment before they left. Overall, we enjoyed our drinks and look forward to going back again sometime! read more

There is a man who is so incredibly rude I felt so uncomfortable. He yells at you and then does not apologize. Some of the staff is so kind, but walking up the stairs will set him off. I am from a big city and have NEVER seen such aggression, literally what the hell? Crazy aggressive people and expensive drinks- AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more

This place is trying to achieve something, but misses largely due to a lack of professionalism. The staff were visibly rude to certain types of people needlessly and in general carry an air of arrogance and aggression in some instances. Coupling that with a completely failed "VIP" experience and a cheesy atmosphere, it's just not worth stopping here. read more

Less than one star. I rarely post reviews unless they are good ones but this place deserves a horrible review. I have never been treated so poorly by a off duty waitress in my life. She accused me of spilling a drink on her when I had just arrived and hadn't even had a chance to order anything. She cussed my friends and me out for no apparent reason and had us thrown out claiming we were harassing her. It was the most bizarre experience I've ever been thru. I would steer clear after reading past reviews. I'm a nice middle aged woman who did not deserve that kind of treatment. read more

We were excited to experience a great atmosphere and views from the roof top bar. In short, it was cheesy. In addition, my bourbon had 3 flys at the bottom of it. I drink bourbon often and pay attention if there are fruit flies lurking, but no flies were seen around. So the flys were obviously poured out of the bottle. When I made them aware, I could see the bartender state "it happens"...then I see him look at the bottle of Buffalo Trace and then he proceeded to pour it out into a large glass through a napkin to filter out the flys!!! Then he made a funnel and poured ot back into the bottle! No words. Definitely will not return to venue. Also, no apologies from the service team...they did remove the drink read more

My wife and I were in town for our wedding anniversary/work conference and stayed off King Street. We meandered into this place randomly because I'm a rooftop snob. I must say it was a surprisingly great experience. I was just hungry af and wanted a drink. And it was great! We sat outside on the rooftop and it was a bit humid. (Around 8:30pm on a Saturday) But The drinks were flavorful and great! I had the MIA and wifey had the Neon Dragon. We had to order another round, as the dj had the good music flowing too. (It was surprisingly semi-trap music) And the food surprised me! This Cherry Blossom sushi roll....magnificent! And the ribeye Steak bowl was a tribute to the food gods! And we got our food to go! So it was was still delectable eating it in our room! So glad we randomly walked in here! read more

The bouncer said my African American friend could not come in because he was in "joggers" but they were cargos, not sweats and then he proceeded to let in a white male with shorts and flip flops in. Clearly some type of discrimination going on, will not ever attend or recommend to I anyone and we were all Active Duty service members. read more

So I don't ever leave Yelp reviews but I felt like I needed to leave one. We went to Ink April 9th for my birthday and of course it was crowded. I imagined it would be because it's an amazing spot to visit. Well my friends and boyfriend were with me and just decided to get one drink and leave. On the way out I was leading us to leave and I kept saying excuse me, this one guy that claimed to be the owner, grabbed my arm, punched me in my rib and said I needed to be excused and said he was the owner. I'm not sure if he was the owner or not, but if he was, I will never go back again. I went to the bounded and told him everything and he just ignored me and said there was nothing he could do. I have been to ink multiple times and have never had an issue. Just hurts my feelings when an altercation happens, I get ignored and if the guys was the owner or even a manager, I shouldn't of been treated like that. The drinks were wonderful and the bartenders were amazing, but I'm very disappointed in the bouncer and "whoever that guy is". read more

My friends and I came from New Jersey for my girlfriends melodys bachelorette. The bouncer with the short hair and ginger beard did not let us in because we "didn't cut it" we were all wearing heels and dresses and we are all over 35 except for my cousin who is 26. This place is incredibly u professional and disrespectful. I'm not sure why we didn't cut it but I'm sure it had to do with us not being skinny blonde 19 year olds. Bad bad experience. read more

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. I went to this lounge for a bachelorette party on 6/11/2022 and my group of 7 girls were dancing on the first floor near the front of the bar. We were invited into the roped off area of the front booth table next to the front windows of the bar by these two guys who we assumed worked there to dance and drink from their table. As soon as my sister went to poor herself a drink some bleach blonde girl wearing a cheap sparkly salmon color two piece crop top/skirt outfit who apparently worked there claimed my sister was stealing alcohol and snuck into the roped off section without permission and GRABBED HER BY THE ARM to kick her out. She claimed to the bouncer that my sister was the one to be physical with her and when we corrected that she was in fact the one who was physical she claimed "It wasn't what she did, but what she said" as though my sister was the one who had words with her when she was the one who made a scene. We left without a single argument, and when I went to the bouncer myself to explain than we were in fact invited into the "VIP" section, he told me "I believe you" but still had to remove us from the bar. So TLDR, employees here were literally PHYSICAL with us and removed us for unjust reasoning. Would not recommend and next time some worker decides to put her hands on my family she will see MY HANDS for sure. read more

We went Saturday night and when we first walked in the atmosphere was amazing! I loved the lights, art work on the walls, and hanging clouds! The dj was amazing too! However there was only one female restroom, for a bar that's insane to me. Where things really turned was when they called last call. They called it at 1:38am. I went to get another drink and close my tab which took a few minutes. They started kicking people out at 1:45am. I wanted to finish the drink I just paid for and security started getting extremely rude and nasty. They kept saying it was time to go and I said I'm finishing the drink I just paid for first and then I'll leave no problem. I was even chugging it, not like I was just sipping on it. The guy literally looked at me and told me to shut up and finish my drink then. Sucks that a place that has such a great atmosphere has such awful people working there. Definitely won't ever be back read more

We asked when we ordered about the flavor profile and supposedly it wasn't sweet, but all 3 of us agreed it was way oversweet. My black manhattan was phenomenal and my husband had a mocktail moscow mule that was awesome. Overall, I'd come back again - just be mindful of the ingredients in the drink and modifying as needed for sweetness. Make a reservation if you can!

The caviar presentation was really nice and everything tasted fresh and high quality. Definitely expensive, but also definitely very good if you're looking to try something different or a little more upscale. The cocktails were also good and the overall vibe inside is very pretty and classy without feeling overly formal. Even though we didn't do a full meal, I'd still come back to try more from the menu in the future.
