I wanted a certain orbital but he said not only is my ear not as pronounced there, it's a very complex healing process. Luckily I had already researched Old West & liked another orbital picture they posted to Yelp so that one was my second choice & Torin was all over it! He measured & placed it PERFECTLY. Plus I got a flat piercing & he placed that perfectly as well in comparison to my other piercings. His commitment to health & safety is unmatched & both piercing are healing so well with the saline solution I bought from Old West. I came back exactly a month to get the shorter post needed for my flat and it was just such a pleasure to show Torin how great they both look! I went to this shop after being turned away from another since they had too many people before…read moreclosing time. I was pretty determined to get these piercings done since I wanted these badly. Saw this shop was open and the first impression was already great -- they were very nice on the phone and was more than happy to provide pricing and wait time information. When getting there, you're greeted by the staff and you just tell them what you're looking for. Tattoos take appointments, but piercings are walk-in. And the good thing is they are opened late so if you're wanting something in the middle of the night, they got you. I had to wait a little bit since there were people ahead of me, but once it was your turn, it flied by and it was super quick. ALWAYS ask your questions during the piercing to ensure you have proper aftercare. Since the piercing goes by quickly, they usually send you off quick too. But always ask about the healing time and any solution you can use to clean it -- the staff was more than happy to provide that to me. The piercings were also very affordable even with tip being applied, it did not break the bank! The only downside is that the parking around the area is slim, but walking isn't too bad! The piercing has been stuck since before I got pregnant- I've tried removing it myself several times but nothing worked, so I gave up and hoped it would last through my pregnancy. It didn't lol. I called the shop to see if someone would be able to help me remove it and replace it with a plastic or bendy piece to tide me over, and they said I could stop in anytime. I came in an hour later and Chase (forgive me if I'm wrong) was able to help me immediately. He was so nice and explained everything he was doing throughout the switch out, he made sure nothing hurt or irritated my skin further. It all took less than 2 minutes and overall was a great experience- thanks again Chase!

I went here yesterday specifically for a daith piercing. I told both the owner/piercer and the…read moreapprentice that I wanted a daith because I was interested in seeing whether it might help with my headaches. As I was leaving, the apprentice looked at the piercing and said, "I thought you were getting a daith piercing." She offered to speak to the owner and get it sorted out. Instead, the owner became extremely angry, said she was going to fire the apprentice for accusing her of doing the wrong piercing, and continued insisting that it was a daith and that the placement looked different because of my anatomy. I left confused and unconvinced and decided to get a second opinion before pushing the issue further. Another reputable piercing shop confirmed that I had actually been given a rook, not a daith. They were able to pierce my actual daith in my other ear without difficulty and told me there was nothing about my anatomy that required the unusual placement I had been given. I ultimately had to remove the rook and get the piercing I originally requested elsewhere. I also contacted the original shop and was given a refund. However, I am adding that the owner continues to explain that my ear anatomy did not allow for a daith, which is simply not true. I had my daith pierced at another reputable shop just a few hours later without any issues. The second piercer confirmed that my anatomy was suitable for a daith, so the explanation being given by the original shop is not accurate. Mistakes can happen, but what concerns me most is that the owner continued to insist it was a daith even after her own apprentice questioned the placement, rather than acknowledging that a mistake may have been made. I trusted the person performing the piercing to give me the piercing I specifically requested and to be honest with me if something went wrong. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Now I'm left with an extra hole in my head that I never wanted, and ironically, it was exponentially more painful than the actual daith.
