Part of the reason I wanted to see the item in store & put my hands on it. I could have done this with an in-store pickup and saved both us us time. I appreciate your gesture of shipping the items to my door. But as I mentioned my problem is solved and I will be shipping back the unopened box.

I had already struck out at Lowes, The Home Depot, and Dominion Electric, so when Dulles Electric was recommended, I called ahead. To my surprise and delight - the guy who I talked with on the phone stated they did indeed have that wall plate. So I asked them to hold it and I headed over. They wanted $13 and change for the wall plate - which was considerable more affordable than a couple of places I had found on the internet that wanted $28 and $60 respectively for the same piece of hardware. Where we live we have a huge wasp population (I think I have seen every species possible flying around) so we wanted to avoid open bottom lights as we had issues with wasps building nests in them. Also my husband made it even harder as he didn't want, plain black with clear plain glass, which of course is most the current style. Both Lori and Tracey helped us out. We sat looking at lots of catalogs, checking online. We spent a long time in the store and they were very patient with us. We even found some that we liked, but they were super expensive (of course the catalogs don't have prices, they have to sit with a computer to assist) as we needed 7 lights even they knew that would not be a good pick and we continued searching. We eventually were successful, they ordered our lights and within a week they were ready for pick up. They recommended 2 electricians for us, one they felt especially suited our needs after talking with us. We got quotes from a few local electricians as we live further out, but we also got one from the guy they recommended: Mark from Monocacy Electrical & Lighting Services LLC. He was the most friendly and knowledgeable guy and fairly priced, we used him and were quite happy! Our lights look fantastic, we were very happy with the whole experience. Except the Ouch to the bank account, s there lighting is much more expensive than shopping at Home Depot, but there lighting is unique and fantastic. You get what you pay for as they say.

We contracted Marcelo to remove the concrete, level the yard, extend some drain spouts, and redo the patio with bricks. We are so happy with the patio remodel Marcelo and his son did for us. When he completed the work, he cleaned up the debris that had fallen when he repaired my circuit breaker box. His attention to detail and cleaning up after himself are signs of elite contractors.
