There were some frustrating incidents and arguments during the cabinet installation that could have been completely avoid. Overall I was barely satisfied. I had to push very hard to get some of the quality issues fixed and it involved multiple trips. I will do much more research next time before I pay someone to do any work in my house again.

I was very impressed by how well the sales staff worked with me to find exactly what I was looking for! I ended up refurbishing both my living room and master bedroom for just under $800! Now my apartment feels like an established apartment. Although this is lightly used furniture... I was able to look over every item I purchased. I am normally hesitant to make such a large purchase at one time, but before and after was such an extreme benefit, I will recommend them for anyone looking for reasonably priced furniture! Note: their inventory changes so much that they will always something different in there each time you visit (I wend in there several times in a week to decide my whole purchase). ---I didn't have anything to move the furniture with so I ended up renting a U-Haul for the "day price", and picked up two guys from Home Depot to move the furniture. In the end I spent just under $975 from start to finish (including fees to take junk furniture to the dump)!

Because our…read moreusual company charges for travel to the source and from the destination we thought it would be more cost effective to use Seattle Small Moves because they don't apply these fees. It turns out that they couldn't handle a 850 sq foot townhome move. They were extremely slow moving us and ended up leaving a significant amount of our stuff at our old home. Their truck wasn't tall enough for the items we told them about in our quote. I pointed out several expensive items we cared about and they seemed to ignore my concerns. Our expensive grill, washer and dryer, and Dutch ovens are damaged. They packed a bottle of olive oil with a spigot on its side and it spilled everywhere! The way they packed doesn't make any sense and is causing us to spend way more time sorting through what they did. They left our doors off hinges and left us in a bad state in our new place. In our last move, our usual company moved everything flawlessly and very quickly. They had to deal with a 4 story townhome with narrow halls and doors but they handled it with same crew size for half the price! The workers were friendly, but the overall operation was very disorganized and unprofessional. This crew also didn't seem to have their own water jug... I would not recommend this moving company. We deeply regret not using our usual company.

Evan and Fred moved me into my current place - they were punctual, efficient, super careful with my stuff, thoughtful about where and how they stacked it, and really nice! Watching them flip my couch around multiple times to take it out of the door of my old place the best way was watching the pros in action. I believe that their office/wherever the truck comes from is inside of Seattle too, so they charge you less for travel times than other quotes I got. I highly recommend booking your next move with Seattle Small Moves!

Francisco and his crew were great. I had water damage on my kitchen floor and needed to find…read moresomeone to replace the floor. I live on Vashon Island so was lucky that Francisco had taken over the store from the previous owners who had the store for years. The store had a good selection of flooring to choose from and Francisco and his son Frank were knowledgeable about what flooring would be best. The estimate to take out the flooring and install the new one was fair and honest. (I got another estimate that was thousands of dollars more.) The floor is in and it's absolutely beautiful. I think it will probably last longer than I will, but that's good! Thank you Francisco and Frank for making this an easy process. Trust is so important in these kinds of transactions and I appreciate all you did for me.

We have had such a horrible experience with the floor store and are still suffering 8 months later…read more We hired the floor store based on good reviews on the island, only to find out later the store was purchased by Frank J's Carpet Installation (based in Renton) and all the good reviews were for the previous ownership. We contacted Frank to see if they could install bamboo hardwoods we had purchased elsewhere, and Frank came over to give a quote. He said they had a lot of experience with this type of flooring (click & lock) and even declined when I offered the installation guide that came with the materials. Flash forward to a few days later, we come home after a day of work to find they did a truly horrific job. We had to walk around the house marking things with blue tape where they needed to re-do pieces that looked awful, cuts that didn't fit, etc. We ended up firing them before they could do the stairs because I was confident they would not be able to handle the precision cuts. Their price was the most expensive of any quote we got, but Frank reassured me they are island-based and take care of islanders. What a joke! When they finished, you could walk around and feel that the floor was completely uneven and there was give in certain spots. During out initial consultation Frank had assured me they would level the floor where needed, including using leveling compound, and told me we didn't have to remove the subfloor. He clearly had no idea what he was talking about, because 8 months later I have floor buckling, sticking out, and cracking. It is like walking through land-mines in our house, and every day I am scared a new piece will buckle, stick up, and trip me while I am carrying my baby. Twice now Frank has sent one of his sub-contractors to fix the floor, and within a few days the problem has returned. The only real solution would be for someone to pull up the entire floor and start over again. Frank demanded we pay full price, even when it was clearly a hack job, and showed up at my house demanding payment. Eventually my husband had to contact him to get some of the money refunded because it was clear we are going to have to get a real professional in here to fix things, and he refunded a few hundred dollars. He even told my husband "it's not my guys' fault, he doesn't know how to work with hardwoods." after he had reassured me his employee had experience working with our product. I am disgusted at the way this business is run, and the true hazard they have left us to deal with. I would strongly advise anyone looking at using their services to look elsewhere.

Saw an ad for this ultra plush yet sized just right for urban living recliner and looked it up on their web site to check it out. I was sold almost just from what I saw there but went in to the store just to make sure it was as comfortable and cool as it looked on my screen. They were extremely helpful and attentive at the store, Jeffrey, the Interior Designer who helped me couldn't have done a better job at explaining all the features, benefits, and options of this chair. We went through the leather swatches to pick a good color to compliment my space, I already knew which style I wanted, so I just had to try out the three size options to decide which would be most comfortable and fit into my loft. He said it would be 4-6 weeks and they called right at 4 weeks to say it was in, called them back and had delivery a week later. The delivery guys were fast, careful, and courteous.
