Great customer service! I went grocery shopping today, the day before Thanksgiving, and I just felt compelled to leave a 5 star review from my experience. Specifically, Derek (the cashier) was working efficiently and greeted other customers ahead of me with a smile and engaged with this elderly couple in-front of me trying to make things as easy as possible for them. They were just struggling a lot and I thought that it was very kind that Derek went out of his way to help them. Also, Thanksgiving is a really difficult Holiday for me emotionally and I honestly don't want to leave the house. So, being greeted with a smile, positive attitude, willingness to help, and him wishing me & others a genuine Happy Thanksgiving was just a nice upbeat change of pace from normal grocery stores, especially on a busy holiday grocery day. It's really the little acts of kindness that can turn someone's day around and give them hope for humanity when times are hard. The gentleman that bagged my groceries was very kind, with a smile and did a great job categorizing as well. And then asked if he could help me to my car! But I can't remember his name. Give Derek a raise! :)

Snacks and drinks for the drive East, I stopped in and found an easy parking space. The lot is clean and the cart corrals (there were plenty!) were empty. Inside, clean and brightly lit with wide aisles. The store is large with a big footprint. Lots of grab-and-go and bake-at-home stuff after the produce section and the deli goes on for a while. Butchery, seafood, lots and lots of beer. I did the self-checkout today and it was swift. Prices are not as low as elsewhere but still decent. [Review 12707 overall, 19 of 2020.]

This is like Kroger for us here in Kentucky but Ingles is a grocery store that we went into grab a few snacks and items and I got gas at the pump for four weeks travel down the Blue Ridge Parkway. I had a good experience there it was a dude to try to hit me up for money and I told him no thank you and then he tried tell me a story about being related to Daniel Boone or something so I didn't try to pay him no attention but besides that the overall pumps in store a really nice

A lovely grocery store with wide clean aisles, pretty curved shelves, and helpful employees. Bathrooms were disgustingly dirty but that isn't normal for Ingles! There was a great hot food bar where we bought delicious chili, spicy and piping hot on a cold evening. Loads of fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful plants, gift items, and a Chinese food bar with the yummiest stir fry selection.

A large grocery store near where I stay when in Asheville. They seem to have a decent deli and a good selection across the board.

I find the variety to be lacking here, but the seafood is excellent. It is a pleasant experience generally to shop here.

No biggie. With that I got a tuna sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers and salt and pepper. Delicious and the sandwich was HUGE. MUCH better than Subway. I have to point out; when I get a sandwich I usually get green peppers but they had mixed colors for their peppers. I made a comment of how I only get the green ones but that the mixed is fine; the guy grabs a handful and this sweet man picks out just the green peppers for my sandwich. He didn't have to do that and I was so very thankful. Huge plus for just that. Shows he actually cares and I love that! Wish I got his name. But sir, if you see this, THANK YOU!! You made my day with that small gesture. I walked around the store and stumbled upon the Snyders pretzel pieces and they were on sale 2/$5. I hadn't had those in forever so of course I bought two bags. The sour cream and caramelized onion flavor.....SO GOOD!!!!!! Will 100% go back if I'm ever in the area. I need to try more subs!

After a fabulous afternoon birthday tea with friends, I popped into Publix Waynesville. The lines were long, so I opted for self-checkout. Packing bags , I was admittedly slow and deliberate as I am not good at "bagging". I also looked to note that items were being rung up properly (ex. BOGO) so it probably took me about 5 minutes to ring up a full trolley of goods and pack them. As I was placing the receipt into my purse and preparing to vacate the spot, an employee came up and loudly announced that she "did not see me ring up my paper towels" and demanded the receipt. This is something that she HAS THE TECHNOLOGY to check without uttering a word to me. It was an obvious attempt at public humiliation (why?). Several people put their head on a swivel to see the drama of someone loudly being accused of shoplifting paper towels. I wanted to crawl under the register and die, but I could only manage to hand her the receipt and put my head down. After the employee saw her obvious mistake, she only said "okay, thank you" and handed me the receipt back. I asked the monitor standing nearby "why" she did that, to which she gave no reasonable explanation. I barely made it to my vehicle before I broke out in tears and phoned my husband, who instructed me to return all the groceries immediately. I will give credit where credit is due and say that both CSR Savannah and the store manager on duty were very sympathetic and understood how, in this very small town, this would be utterly humiliating. They apologised profusely and the manager even offered to walk me and my groceries (that I didn't return) back to my vehicle. Regardless, the embarrassement of being falsely accused in such a way as to shame me publicly - when I did absolutely nothing wrong, has forever ruined shopping at the Waynesville Publix. Thankfully, I still have all the Sarasota Publix locations.

That is totally reasonable so we made the truck over. When we arrived however, I thought we were in the wrong place. It has an industrial feel, not a farmers market feel, and there were no markets going on outside. As a matter of fact, the only market was indoor with about a dozen or so stalls. We were disappointed, but I wanted to check it out so my husband remained in the vehicle with our dog. I looked at every market stall inside and I was in and out in about 5 minutes. Having produce doesn't make something a farmers market. It just felt like walking around local grocery store. About a third of the vendors were fruits and vegetables and the rest were knick-knacks and t-shirts and miscellaneous items. Also, it was incredibly empty. I mean I understand why. I did find a new cider to try but knowing what I know now, I would most likely not make the drive again.
