Cute little shop with a bar and plenty of snacks and novelties. To-go alcohol or order at the counter.

This is my favorite place in all of Asheville. The drinks, the treats, and the people are all a part of what makes this place so special. I'll never have enough good things to say about Sparky's.

Great hidden gem in downtown Asheville. I was on my way to Asheville Chocolate and saw this shop right next door. Couldn't help but stop in. They have a little bit of everything- beer, wine, local gifts. Self care products etc. they also have a small bar area. I didn't stay for a drink but I did buy a sparkling white single can for later on. Nice friendly service and reasonable prices. Would definitely return!

Really cute concept and space. Random items for sale, ranging from odd quirky finds to staple snacks and hot sauces. Beers on tap, mimosa flights, cards and games. Will come back!

Friendliest place we visited. Staff was amazing, especially Maddles. If we lived here, we'd go every day.

Come back when one of the young women owners are there. We went for holiday gift shopping, knowing we'd be spending a chunk of money and getting something recipients appreciated but ended up putting everything down and leaving after enduring this woman's inane LOUD chattering to every person who walked in the store. Not only was her stupid chatter annoying, she argued with us about never having carried an item we know we purchased there! We lived in the Deep South for nearly 30 years and never experienced an encounter that felt like such an inauthentic put-on of 'southern charm.' Sorry Duncan &York. We love the store but this year there won't be anything from your store under our Christmas tree.

There's a nice combination of local, handmade and well-known brands and you really have to go through the store a couple of times to truly appreciate everything they have to offer. Their greeting card collection is fantastic - everything from sweet to cheeky to sarcastic! You can find something for literally anyone thanks to their diverse collection of hip and modern items. We each ordered individually, but tasted everyone's dish. Beef Tartare: beautifully presented and well balanced. Served with fried saltines (seasoned with Old Bay seasoning). Wood Grilled Asparagus: perfection! Absolutely LOVED the sauce gribiche! Braised Rabbit and Nettle Cavatelli: I thought this dish was stunning. The texture of the cavatelli could not be better and the flavors melded well together. Lardon added savoriness while the pickled ramps balanced the palate. Soft Herb & Pea Risotto: loved this in terms of texture but needed a touch of salt. We added a pinch of their house special salt (mined from a 100 year old salt mine), and it did the trick! Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle: this was my favorite item, though also, requiring a pinch of salt. I really appreciated that the truffle oil did not overpower the dish (that's a pet peeve of mine). We were provided with some truffle salt to enhance savoriness, which absolutely lifted the pasta to another level. Service all around was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in town!

They have a…read moredaily special where you can purchase a full sub for only $8 and change so of course that's what I got. I wanted wheat bread but they were out so I went with the regular white. No biggie. With that I got a tuna sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers and salt and pepper. Delicious and the sandwich was HUGE. MUCH better than Subway. I have to point out; when I get a sandwich I usually get green peppers but they had mixed colors for their peppers. I made a comment of how I only get the green ones but that the mixed is fine; the guy grabs a handful and this sweet man picks out just the green peppers for my sandwich. He didn't have to do that and I was so very thankful. Huge plus for just that. Shows he actually cares and I love that! Wish I got his name. But sir, if you see this, THANK YOU!! You made my day with that small gesture. I walked around the store and stumbled upon the Snyders pretzel pieces and they were on sale 2/$5. I hadn't had those in forever so of course I bought two bags. The sour cream and caramelized onion flavor.....SO GOOD!!!!!! Will 100% go back if I'm ever in the area. I need to try more subs!
