After leaving, we also realized they forgot to serve our yogurt with the brunch charcuterie board. I used to cook and manage restaurants for years. I get it, things happen. Just communicate and own it if the ball gets dropped. Don't make people sit around and wait. Be honest and upfront and it won't be an issue in most cases.
