Every single step of the way I was met with fantastic treatment and care. Yulia at the front desk was amazing every time for every appointment I appreciate you so much Yulia you are so pleasant and great to talk to. Dr Marina was incredibly precise and so was her lovely assistant Anna. I always felt heard and cared for. They provided exceptional treatment with wonderful results. Their attention to detail was exemplary. My surgery went so well I woke up to them singing and humming to the music that I requested. My pain was managed so well that as soon as I felt like my prescription wearing off I could just rinse with the solution prescribed and take more medicine and boom no suffering at all. I wouldn't even consider it pain more like a heaviness. Thank you Dr. Geoffrey Rubinshtein for your impeccable work and for returning my smile to me I'll be forever grateful. My heartfelt thanks to all the Doctors Rubinshtein and their attentive and extraordinary staff. My only caveat was the cost but you get what you paid for and I got exactly what I needed.

If you ever want to remember what a Russian clinic in the 2000s felt like -- welcome. At the front…read moredesk there's a classic rude receptionist, they shout out your personal and sensitive information across the whole waiting room, and when you call them they talk to you like you're some annoying close friend who has already exhausted their patience. And the funniest part -- something I haven't even seen in the cheapest clinics back in Russia -- they refuse to give you your own medical records. I asked for my records and screenings three times and every time they refused with lines like: "Why do you need them? Are you planning to leave us?" When they refused to provide my documents for the fourth time, I left. Later I found out they tried to bill my insurance for procedures they never actually performed. And even after I officially told them I wouldn't be coming back and switched to another doctor, they kept sending letters about supposed appointments. When they called again to ask when I'd show up, I repeated that I had changed my doctor, and they cut me off mid-sentence with something like: "Okaywhateverbye," and I immediately understood who was on the line -- that same rude woman. I don't recommend this place to anyone. We didn't come to the U.S. to deal with this kind of behavior. This is rock bottom -- even in Russia they don't treat people like this anymore.

I asked why they didn't say anything in the days before my child's appt or even during our wait time or contact our doctor. No response. Absolute waste of our Sunday. Additionally, the place does not have enough seating, some people needed to wait outside to be seen. Wait times were astronomical. Poor communication. Kids screaming and leaving the rooms with mouths full of bloodied cotton. I've never seen anything like this. It was like a pediatric dentist factory. They will text you before your appt asking you to complete 6 pages of paperwork, which I did. When I arrived she said they don't get the documents from the text which is concerning because they ask for your social security number. Where is all the patients' private information going?

For many years, I've had some ups and down with dental service. Trying to find a new dentist was…read morenot something I was looking forward to. Just thinking of painful dental procedures makes me feel uneasy. I found out I had three wisdom teeth and one of them was giving me an uncomfortable pain. To get this over with, I was searching online for an experienced and confident dentist that will honestly put their patients first. And that's where the team at Jane Yang Dental excelled in my books. From the receptionist, to the assistant, to the dentist. Service was great every visit. There were no issues with speaking English here. During the pandemic, the staff is fully protected with proper PPE, must wash hands in the bathroom first, temperature taken upon arrival, plexiglass around the front desk, short questions and waiver to sign off on, sanitized areas etc. Making appointments were simple and it had always worked out in my favor. Dr. Ho is the best dentist I've ever encountered. He's very kind, informative and confident. You'll know you'll be in good hands under his care. If you're not too sure about something, just ask him and he will definitely clarify it for you. He goes out of his way to make sure you're well taken care of with minimal pain, discomfort and worries.

I was one of the first patients that went to this clinic when it first opened up around 2019. I…read morerecommended everyone to go because of the quick wait time and amazing dentistry. Since then, it's been downhill regarding wait time and quality of work. Back then, you can schedule a filling appointment within 1-2 weeks and walk in at your appointment time and see the doctor within 30 min. Now, you have to wait 2-3 MONTHS for a filling appointment and walk in at your appointment time and see the doctor within 45 to 75 min. More than double because of the overbooking on appointments they do. As for service, which connects back to the influx of patients, the doctor does not care as he used to. Back then, the doctor would explain exactly what the issues were and break down the treatment. For example, for fillings, he would show you the exact teeth with cavities and how many appointments were needed with which ones would get done at each appointment. Now, he just walks in, says he doing fillings with no overview of what's going on with the teeth, numbs the area and does the job, then quickly goes to the next patient. I understand this is a business and time is money, but the route they are on is sacrificing customer service to squeeze in as many patients as possible. This would be a good issue to have if it did not affect their service which I'll explain on the next point. Personal experience The whole reason this is a large response is because of my personal experience as well as my mother. I recently went in for a filling appointment that I had to wait 3 months for. The waiting room was 80% full. My appointment was at 2. I walked in and sat down at 2. I was then taken inside to the room at 2:50. They numbed the area at 3:10. The doctor started working on my teeth at 3:15. He was finished by 3:25. On the time aspect, that is atrocious. Secondly, when the doc put the anastasia needle in, he poked 3 times before it finally went in. This has caused the injection spot to become inflamed and super sensitive to any food touching it, basically rendering that whole side unusable when eating. It's been 4 days and the injection side is still red/inflamed/sensitive and I haven't been able to eat with it. All because the doctor poked 3 times in that area. All because he had a million patients before and after me. All because they overbook and run on an unneeded super tight schedule. This is the worst dental experience/result I've had and will be the last time I come here. As for my mother, similar story with the needle issue. She had an appointment a couple months ago for a root canal. The doctor came in and did the same mistake. Poking a couple of times and creating multiple injection areas. In addition, half way through the treatment, my mother felt pain and she had to do another dose of anastasia. For a whole week after the appointment, my mother had a bump inflamed area over the injection spots. This is unacceptable. Again, the doctors used to be good. But now it's a gamble of whether you're going to get a good treatment or deal with sloppy painful results. Sad to see because I used to love this spot.

When first making your appointment you always speak to the receptionist at any medical office…read more 'Bensonhurst Smiles' receptionist is really nice and calm over the phone. She doesn't rush you and you don't feel like you're bothering her. I think it's a really great resource to have a competent and kind receptionist because they are your patients first point of contact, and usually also the last. Onto the appointment, Dr. Lau seems to be incredibly popular and so getting an appointment will be at least a month in advance. There's barely any patients in the waiting room and his office utilizes the standup X-RAY and not the multiple bite guard and positions one if you know which I'm talking about. Really love how streamlined the process is and he takes his time during the appointment to listen to your concerns and discuss all of your options. Comparatively, my previous doctor never offered me a more expensive albeit conservative approach to fixing my dental issue and so I never got a choice to the dental procedure I would like to proceed with. Medical transparency is highly important and giving your patients all of their viable options relative to cost is important and so I value that in this dentist and hope you all do too. He doesn't try to up-sell the more expensive procedure and so the decision will always be yours in the end. Overall, both me and my partner had a great experience with our regular teeth cleanings and with my dental procedures. The office is always prompt to return our calls and Dr. Lau is always attentive and thorough with examinations and execution of work. Highly recommend this dental office to everyone I know. I found him through word of mouth from my co-worker and couldn't be happier to now have my go-to dentist for hopefully, a very long time.
