We visited when the restaurant was hosting a HUGE party (like 50 people), and it was quiet, controlled, and we had an amazing dinner and a wonderful experience with outstanding service. Minimalistic, friendly, luminous. Informal kitchen is a place to enjoy a morning or afternoon where time stops. They offer breakfast from opening till noon. Breakfast menu is small and accurate: porridge with fresh fruit, omelettes, eggs Benedict or florentine, pancakes or inFormal breakfast package. All dishes are between 15-23zl. Coffee is excellent and juice is fresh a made. They even made us a mimosa upon request even though they did not have it in the menu. We have been there for dinner as well and enjoyed excellent fish fillet over quinoa and grill meat with vegetable. Portions are moderate, pizza is slim and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Had been for lunch which costs 25 zl and is from 12 till 4pm (i think ). Offers soup, main course, deser and a glass ofwater or kompot! Soup and the main course were just outstanding and tasty but the desert was not upto my taste - very dry and bland. The waiter didn't get our desert and we had to request for it which was slightly not pleasant since it is a set lunch menu and especially since he was serving dish after dish, getting our main course even before we finished our soup ! This is currently my favorite restaurant in Warsaw. The atmosphere is light yet classy. The food is very modern with an unexpected twist and very tasty. Pricing as in any other restaurant in Warsaw with this food quality. The service tries hard not to be like the typical terrible polish service! Based on today's experience PLUS: The place is good looking, furniture has nice minimal look, the location is very central and easy to reach/find. The restaurant has a big room, a bit busy, but bearable (it gives a sense of "atmosphere", not of "noise", which is a big plus for me) The food, including the sauces, is completely home made, ingredients are fresh. A friend had pasta and said it was good (didn't try it personally, but i trust her judgement). We had burgers, whose meat was good and well cooked indeed, however.... CONS: ... the condiment inside was not nothing special and quite scarce, especially the bread could be more nice. Each burger came with a small side portion of fries, barely cooked and that didn't taste much (however sauces - ketchup and bbq - were good). Cocktails had no alcohol at all, only ice: VERY bad. We ordered one creme brulle' that turned out to be cold and slightly too sweet, while it should be served at room temperature, even slightly warmer, to allow to feel the scent of vanilla and the taste of egg yolk to be savoured; finally a good creme brulle' has to be sweet, not overwhelmingly sweet. But what really ruined it all was the service, below sufficient: waitress was not super friendly, very rushy although there were other waitress that were free and the place was not completely full (so no reason to be in a hurry!). She barely looked or paid attention at us because there was some "VIP" in the room for whom she was distracted (she even mismatched one drink order because of this; normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but she blamed it on the customer - that ordered correctly: just pay attention to what people are telling you instead. We didn't leave any tip, something I never do unless I am really disappointed by the service, like today. VERDICT: All in all its not a bad restaurant, it has a big potential to be a very good one that could build a fame and a solid affectionate clientèle (so for people who really love food and not just the "new Polish rich class" that comes just because it's "the new place in Warsaw"); it has everything a good restaurant could offer and it could be much much much better if there was just a bit more attention to details - seriously, you need just to make a small effort! As it is now, for the same prices there are many far better offers in Warsaw, and it's really a pity. However I will give it another try for a more substantial meal, hopefully to find it improved, in some time. read more

The food is good and price fair but unfortunately the waitresses aren't friendly at all.

A trio of us arrived on a Tuesday evening around 6:45pm without a reservation. There was only one table available which was a high top right next to the open kitchen. After we were seated and had a few minutes to review the menu the waitress returned to take our drink order. It took a little than longer to receive our drinks, but appetizers came out fairly quickly as we put them in as they poured our waters which was after our initial drink order. Our appetizers were the duck bruschetta and the foccacia. The bruschetta was really tasty and I could've been happy with that as my appetizer with a salad. The focaccia left a little to be desired for me. I like focaccias that are thick and flavorful with herbs. These were the thin crisp type which we dipped in the house oil and balsamic provided. I didn't care for the marinara (i think it was) the accompanied it. As an entree I had the steak over truffle mash. The steak was cooked perfectly. I found the mashed potato was more buttery than truffley, but delicious none the less. My dinner mates ordered the octopus & chorizo and the goat cheese salad entrees. Only one complaint for each. Too little chorizo in the octopus dish- and the opposite; too much goat cheese in the salad. Already full we pushed ourselves for dessert and ordered the Tarta Tatin and the Nemesis. I really enjoyed the Tarta apple compte over a puffed pastry topped with salted caramel ice cream. The Nemesis, was too sweet for my liking. A raspberry sauce drizzled across the plate with two decent sized square pieces of chocolate cake and a dollop of fig-mascarpone ice cream. All of the dishes were masterfully constructed and presented. As a New Yorker the prices were very reasonable; however, if you are a local, or from another a place where the currency conversion isn't in your favor I'd say it's likely on the pricey side. $17 for a delicious steak dinner I think is pretty inexpensive. read more
