Got my standard decaf soy milk iced latte which was quite large (i think i forgot to indicate size). Solid offering. Ambiance would not be described as cute - so as I'm looking for a cozy place to hang out and read a book while drinking my coffee this would not fit the bill. Boyfriend and I came here for breakfast (we are not San Diego natives but it was close by). I was a tad surprised by how long it took to get our order. Felt like 10-15 minutes went by (we ordered bagels with cream cheese and tomato and bacon). I also ordered a plain bagel but got everything. We ordered it to go so didn't realize until we got back. I won't eat here again which is a bummer because I love the sandwiches and we like to take guests there when they're visiting. This is actually a time when I'd welcome the owner or manager contacting me directly for feedback. My complaint is about poor service and directed at a specific female employee that answered the phone at 10:27am on 11/6 to take my order for a "traditional" on an everything bagel. The order arrived missing a component so I called to let her/the restaurant know. She asked me if I wanted to come back to "pick up capers" then hung up on me when I said I'd return the one I had for one made correctly. When my husband arrived to do the exchange she pulled the bag from his hand and threw it in the trash, not saying a single word the entire time. I guess WE inconvenienced HER. I could tell she had a problem by the way she answered the phone, but Jesus Christ. I'm sorry you're having a rough go of it (we've all been there), but that behavior is inexcusable. Influx has been here for years, survived the pandemic (and 5G) and are still here. That's how you know you have a good coffee shop. They have a nice selection of bagels, sandwiches and salads. Has a cool hipster vibe on the outside. Super friendly staff - the young lady behind the counter gave the little guy a chunk o' chicken. Coffee is really good here - love their lattes! Great place to bring the laptop and do some work, but it does get loud at times. The folks over at Bluefoot will let out a solid cheer now and again. read more

Literally. One rogue dog owner allowed her canine to roam around long-leashed while she buried her attention in her laptop. Meanwhile, little Fido was on the prowl and his leash attached to a seat leg wasn't stopping his libido. The food is just ok IMO. The gluten free bowl was disappointing but points for the effort. I have been going here since 2014, I believe, in fact all 3 influx's to mix it up. i have taken family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and even the dogs....their favorite is the carrot muffin. This place has the best coffee in town! We have had such great experiences here and love the pastries. Thank you Gina! Today was our favorite influx employee's last day. She was so kind to both me, my wife and my elderly father. Wonderful smile waiting for us each Saturday. Huge compliments to 'L' as you begin your new adventure far away. Used to live in the neighborhood so came all the time around 2011ish. I had a strange craving this morning for the mozz 2. So I drove the 8 miles to get it. I came here on a date- he picked the spot and immediately won points for not picking Sbux. We didn't hang around Influx too long opting to take our coffee over to the park to enjoy. It's a great little walk and a great casual date option. Or you can stay around Influx! They had plenty of seating and were lively on a Sunday morning without it feeling overly packed/crowded. My latte was pretty good- nothing memorable, but I didn't need a "wow factor" coffee. Just some caffeine. They forgot to get my date his drink so we were there a little longer than we expected,. When he pointed it out they were quick to apologize and get it to him. Not a big deal, but speak up if you feel overlooked. I'm sure I'll be back next time I want a coffee for the park! read more

I was disappointed. The place was practically devoid of business during the time we visited and the two employees didn't seem that busy...and yet, every single table was dirty, with crumbs. No one moving around the place while we were there to wipe off the tables. Also each table has a hole in it where there used to be a plant. Did the owners just give up on the whole plant thing? 5 stars for me I had a super short lunch window was tired of eating McDonald's decided to try this place out and couldn't have been more happy! The food was out in less then 5 min along with my drink! I didn't know what to get and they were so helpful with options I ended up getting the turkey #1 and the person helping me gave me a better bread recommendation and I loved it so so much definitely will be returning next time I am near by! When I was in grad school it was a great Saturday morning option for me to get some work done. (I enjoy being near the hustle and bustle when I study.) Outstanding food and great service. My girlfriend introduced me to this place because she love there raspberry muffins. So I go out of my way and get her thoses but lately they haven't had them which is still cool, it might be seasonal and I like there blended drink and it is made just right every time. This coffee shop is located across the street from my hair salon. I ordered a coffee and a muffin, and it was ok, nothing special. The customer service was ok. The people working here are not happy at all. They took my order, but no one even called me to pick up my coffee. I had to find it, and it had been sitting on the counter for five minutes. Surprisingly, a man came in with his pup, and the person making the coffee made it a point to go and give the puppy a snack and pet it. I am a furry baby mom, and I love that at least the dogs are getting good service. However, I did not see her wash her hands afterward. read more

So randomly my wife woke up wanting to go to a coffee house where the coffee comes in an actual mug rather than a paper cup. What came to mind first was Influx since I had been to the one in Golden Hill years ago and distinctly remember the coffee in a mug with a pretty design. sadly after our dining experience I remembered why it had been years since my last visit. I love to support small businesses but more so, small businesses that appreciate my business! The service we received here was probably the most off putting I have had in a long time! So cold and unwelcoming. Like everything we did, said, and ordered was an inconvenience to them. I ordered the bagel scramble which consisted of bagel, egg, and choice of jack or swiss cheese. I asked for the jack cheese and added bacon for $1.50. When it came, there were several eggs shells (large pieces) that I pulled out. Not too terrible, kind of reminds me that its made from real eggs so not something to complain about since I didn't bite into it. The bacon that was $1.50... they put 1 1/2 piece on my sandwich. The cheese was... oh wait, not there! They forgot the cheese. Thankfully I didn't pay extra for that. My wife had a better experience than I did and thankfully so because we went here for her. She ordered the Feta 3 which was a veggie patty, feta cheese, arugula, tomato, and an olive tapenade on focaccia bread. Hers was extremely salty but so delicious! I remembered having just about the same issues with the breakfast bagel at the Golden Hill location and the same with the employees there. I would love to give this another try though. The focaccia bread and sandwich were good and just about every picture of anything on the focaccia bread looked delicious! read more

Hubby and I've been wanting to try this place out since we live so close. Parking wasn't too bad. It was crowded inside and look or reminded me of Starbucks because people were on their laptop. Hubby got the blended #3 with a pecan bar; I got a Vietnamese Coffee a long with a buttered croissant. I thought that blended #3 was a bit too sweet. My Vietnamese coffee was too bitter... I'm so sad that it didn't tasted the way I hoped it to be because I try other Vietnamese coffee at other coffee places, but it can't beat Vietnamese coffee in OC.
