Then a year or so through a satellite location of a major valley gymnastics gym. I could tell she was bored, and frankly...she was not progressing. After some research, we decided to try cheer. We went into the season with the intention of joining a non-travel, but during evaluations, the Coaches asked if we would consider putting our daughter on a more competitive travel team and we went for it! If you are new to the world of All-Star cheer as we were...it's super overwhelming at first. There is a significant time and financial commitment from families, however it is pretty well laid out up front in the parent handbook. I've learned in connecting with other Cheer parents (across state lines and other gyms) that this is generally what is to be expected of the sport and not specifically a CFAZ thing. That all being said, reflecting on this last year, my only regret is that we hadn't discovered this program and enrolled our daughter sooner!!! She has LOVED every minute from the very first pre-eval clinic, to the time she finished her last season's performance. YES-- the physical gains from this year are evident. She has grown in all aspects of the sport- but the real value is in the intangibles. Cheer has taught her the importance of team (which as an only child carries a lot of weight with us), discipline, and most of all...it has unlocked a confidence that we hadn't seen before. She (as well as WE) have met some wonderful new friends and families along the way. She has had the opportunity to work with many of the coaches at the gym either from her team, classes or private lessons and they all bring their own unique qualities to the program. If there is one negative to mention its that there is definitely a learning curve for new families. I think many families start in a Prep team to learn the ropes-- so perhaps it was just us jumping right in, but I did wish there was maybe a "All Star Cheer 101" for new families. But even putting that aside, you eventually figure it out. Tips for any new families considering joining this crazy world of All-Star Cheer-- We highly recommend CFAZ!! Recognize that the program's priority is focused around the kids-- not parents. Trust in the process- the coaches will see more of your kids' progress and abilities than you will. Don't be afraid to ask the questions if you have them and find some good veteran families to help fill in those educational gaps along the way.

She was previously…read moreenrolled at a competitive gym for a little less than a year, but wasn't learning new skills... within a few sessions of being at prestige, she has mastered skills that she should have been learning the time she was enrolled at the other gym, but wasn't getting the training that prestige coaches provide. They recently moved to a new location and it is incredible, with more space and a huge area to accommodate parents to be able to watch their child during class. As a previous gymnast myself and being in some of the most elite gyms in the Midwest, this gym and the coaches experience that this gym is providing is right alongside some of the best gyms out there... To top it off, the classes are very reasonable. My daughter takes classes 2x/week for 2 hours a session and it's less than $200/month. (I think around $160?, but don't quote me on that...) 10 out of 10 experience all around.

Loved this place at first, and wanted to support a new family owned business, however I sadly can't say that now. My daughter joined their tiny team in April 2017 which only had 4 kids to begin with (5 are required to compete). I tried tirelessly to get other families to join and messaged 35 people who were interested and was only able to get 1 family to sign up. 1 kid quit, leaving us with 3 left. Then another, a gym employee's son. At this point we only had 2 kids left on team. I was getting concerned there wouldn't be a team, yet I was told multiple times that the kids would still be able to compete (I was lied to). At this point I was charged for choreography (was told after I found out team would most likely be getting cancelled that I can't have the $50 payment back) and made my third uniform payment totaling $291 for the uniform package. The only things I received were shoes (was charged $100 for those when they only cost $55) and a practice set ($75). I was also told by Melodie that she doesn't up-charge (another lie). Fast forward to September 2017 and Melodie, the gym owner, sends an email out stating that she would "do one last push to try and get more kids on the tiny team, and if she wasn't able to get anyone else to sign up by the end of September then team would be cancelled". Practice was cancelled at least twice because "there was only going to be 1 kid at practice". Well I'm still paying monthly tuition so yeah, there's that... (I was offered a makeup tumbling class, but I was still annoyed I drove to practice to find out it was cancelled yet again. I was sent a Facebook message stating practice was cancelled but I didn't see it before I drove to the facility since it was sent out an hour before practice start time.) I was also told I would only get $75 refunded to me for the unreceived competition uniform. I should have been getting $211 refunded, NOT $75. I paid $291 for the uniform package and $50 for choreography, totaling $341. Breakdown: $45 for the shoes difference (because they cost $55, NOT $100), $75 for competition uniform I didn't receive, $25 for bow I didn't receive, $16 for t-shirt I didn't receive, and $50 for choreography (because there won't be a team competing to choreograph). This totals $211. On September 11, 2017 I brought my concerns to Melodie about what would be refunded she got defensive saying I was accusing her of something and threatened to remove my daughter from her tiny team. I told her I wasn't going to be threatened by her and she took it upon herself to remove my daughter, told me I wasn't welcome back to her facility, and I wouldn't be getting a refund at all. Absolutely messed up and NOT how you treat a paying customer!! These owners are liars and they stole my money. I will be pursuing legal action if I don't receive my refund from this facility. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!

Desert Storm is not the average gym that comes to mind when you think about working out. This is the largest all-star, high school and middle school cheer training gym. They have one numerous titles at the state and world level. It not only offers levels 1-6 all- star cheerleading teams but also a special needs program and team. They offer space for middle school and high school teams needing space and assistance across the valley. The gym goes above and beyond with their cheerleaders and doing all they can to help them chase their dreams. While teams are practicing they provide two trainers to spot stunts and tumbling to help with higher tricks, while keeping it safe. Cheerleaders are able to push themselves in work in a safe and positive surrounding environment. It is easy to get to know the staff and become a part of the family within days. Moving onto the gym inside they offer three types of floors and a tumble track. They have a rod floor, spring floor, and a hard floor; this makes it easier to gradually go into a new type of trick without just having to throw it on your own. It offers the most variety and assistance out of any of the gyms I have practiced at. Desert Storm Elite is a place of hard work, practice and achievements. They offer assistance and advice whenever it is needed and multiple types of floors for practice. They prove that they are the best gym not only by the amazing cheerleaders that attend there but also the several World and State titles filling up the gym walls.

I think for myself it's important to note that our gym not only does gymnastics, TNT and cheer so you were getting mixed of reviews. We have had quite a few short term parents that are no longer with us that have seem to have their own personal issues. We have had nothing but great times, fun, and success at the gym. A small business owners I am not sure how they put up with all the customers. Super proud of them. Mostly because people today are not very kind. We still love the small family atmosphere and that won't be changing anytime soon.

My daughter got hurt a month ago on her first tiny tumble class there, they promised two coaches on her trial class, but the main coach was missing on her first class. A very young assistant coach had to watch 8 little kids all by herself, she didn't even notice my daughter fall from the bar and twist her neck.She was crying so bad , I had to run in there to tell the assistant what just happened. Can't believe she started to cry immediately when I question her why she was the only one there! She said the main coach was sick that's why they made her to coach the whole class all by herself, which was not meet the standards and not safe at all. I requested to cancel my daughter's class and refund. The next evening their director (Joseph) called me and promised we will get our money back soon. But a month later we still didn't get anything. During the past month, I called their front dest 6 times, texted Joseph 2 times, and emailed the owner Marisa 2 times, still nothing! We all know that keep a business going on nowadays is not easy, writing this whole thing here is also not what I wanted to do, but their reaction to customers is just too irresponsible and disappointing.

We absolutely love Supreme Cheer and Tumble. My daughter is neurodivergent and we've tried so many…read moresports and social activities that just didn't work and were too overwhelming for her. All of the coaches at Supreme Cheer and Tumble treat her with kindness, respect, and believe in her that she can learn the routines. They accept her as she is, even when it's hard for her to smile, talk, or she gets overwhelmed and tears up a little. They're always encouraging and looking for ways to help her feel confident and succeed. My daughter also enjoys the summer and winter break camps. They are structured with cheer lessons in the beginning, lunch, drawing activities, and then free time with a fun bounce house. They also get to watch a movie in the afternoon which is a really nice break for my daughter. The coaches are responsive to any issues with the girls. They do not tolerate bullying of any kind, which reassures me when I send my neurodivergent daughter to camp. I'm so glad we found Supreme Cheer and Tumble. Coach Madi was super patient and took the time to see where my daughter is athletically. My daughter is only 4 years old. Madi was amazed on how advanced and technical my child was and was super helpful regarding information for all star cheer, tumble and other classes. The parent waiting area is beautiful!
