Hired Lacassa plumbing to fix a small leak in the basement. After paying him $1700, my wife took a shower up on the second floor. Water poured all the way down into the basement. The ceiling on the 1st was soaked and pretty much collapsed when I went to cut it out. Michael, the owner showed up and agreed with me that the technician who did the work in the basement did a poor job. Micheal fixed everything in the basement. I cut holes in the 2nd and 1st floor bathroom walls so he had access to the pvc riser pipe. After I repaired all of the drywall and repainted everything, I noticed every time you use the 2nd floor bathroom shower, water drips all the way down to the basement. I have been calling, leaving messages and emailing Lacassa plumbing for 4 months , not once did I get a response. $2500 later, not including my time and material to fix the drywall, I still have a leak. I would definitely not recommend this company. what I have seen , his technicians, as they call themselves, are far from being plumbers. I am not a plumber , but am a union tradesman, I know quality work when I see it, this is not! I did the plumbing for my daughter bath tub, sink and added a slop sink in her laundry room. The communication from Ace was outstanding throughout the process, which was delayed by weather and complicated by obstacles from previous repair attempts by another provider. Their guarantee that they'd address any emergency repairs immediately gave us a lot of peace of mind while we waited for the ground to thaw for the line replacement! In my case, a faulty water heater needing to be replaced. The Good: incredibly responsive, tried to troubleshoot over the phone and worked to visit the immediate next day. The (Real) Bad: they price gouged me in a time of peril. Unacceptable. Knowing I was up against the ropes, they charged me what was nearly 3.5 times a normal charge for a water heater replacement! I asked for them to be more accommodating on the quote but came back with 'nothing we can do'. I guess they assumed I'd pay that exorbinant price. I didn't. I got quotes from two other responsive plumbers which proved Plumbing Department was attempting to gouge me. I'm glad I went elsewhere. It's a shame they have such speedy, friendly initial support, but followed it with egregious quotes. Hope they can do better in the future. UPDATE: spoke with owner, Jeff, to discuss the experience. To provide further details underscoring the notable pricepoint disparity: Plumbing Department - install Bradford White water heater with licensed, bonded and insured company Other Plumber Quotes at 3-3.5x less - install a Rheems Performance water heater from licensed, bonded, and insured company. I have no qualms with how Jeff chooses to operate and appreciated their initial support, but found the pricepoints for the install, at a moment of peril, arresting and glad I didn't settle with what was clearly an elevated pricepoint.
