Since I've always trusted this location, I decided to continue with the appointment. The stylist was very kind, and my silk press turned out nicely. Unfortunately, the haircut itself was extremely disappointing. I have curly hair, and the layers were not blended properly at all. The cut created a harsh "shelf" effect, with very obvious disconnected layers that make it difficult to wear my hair naturally curly now. I understand mistakes happen, and I do appreciate the stylist's professionalism and kindness, but textured/curly hair requires experience and proper blending techniques. I wish the appointment change had been communicated more clearly beforehand so I could have decided whether to reschedule. I'm really disappointed because I trusted this salon and have had positive experiences here in the past.

Walked out empty handed and their loss of a $500 sale. Well, I have purchased items my membership card and a different named debit card as long as that employee is not working. She always makes a huge issue over the names. Why is this an issue? I've never had an issue like this at Costco, salon centric, or any store that requires a membership card. As previous reviews say, the female employees are non engaging and not welcoming. The new employees have a way better attitude and actually greet you when you step through the door. I love them! When I walked in, a Latina associate greeted me kindly, but she went on break shortly after. The only other staff present -- a Latino male associate with glasses -- was unhelpful and dismissive. I asked about semi-permanent dyes and a matching facial cream from the Bliss rose-scented line. His responses were vague: "I think we're out," or "I have no idea," with no effort to check or follow up. Meanwhile, another customer -- a Black woman who appeared lighter-skinned with straight hair -- was offered help without even asking. I was visibly shopping and asking questions, yet I received minimal engagement. The contrast in treatment was disappointing. I submitted a formal complaint, followed up via email, and was told on July 25 that the issue was being escalated to "field management." As of August 5, I've received no update, no resolution, and no goodwill gesture -- despite spending over $200 on that visit. I've had great experiences at Sally Beauty's Irvine location, which makes this store's handling even more frustrating. If this is resolved appropriately, I'll update this review. But right now, I cannot recommend this location based on the lack of accountability.

Glow + Flow is located in a lot with Dunkin' Donuts. Parking was easy. It's super cute outside: a table chairs / bike (for esthetics) & Inside: it's airy, spacious, very beautiful. I went in for 1 thing (braiding hair) and left with Bask & Lather products x2 and a cute rattail comb. Various products at reasonable prices. Shelves are neatly stocked. They have a rewards system. Customer service was good. The side of the store I was on had a wall dedicated to braiding hair, a wall of wigs, hair grease, braiding gels, edge controls, hair accessories AND MORE!!! I plan on returning to see the right side of the store, lol (didn't have time to even walk on the opposite side) but from what I could see it seemed like there were serums, and oils... I recommend Glow + Flow -- It's a beautiful addition to the area and definitely a hidden GEM to this community!!!! I plan to continue supporting this #BlackOwnedBusiness and #WomanOwnedBusiness!!!
