Came here 3 times with a problem. Bought a cassette deck that was supposed to be serviced but it didn't work at all. Wouldn't turn or play tapes. Returned it and got another one just for it to have only one channel playing. Paid $75 plus tax for it. When I went to return it I used $60 for records and the rest was to be paid out in cash yet I didn't receive back the tax I paid in my refund so they profited $8 and change off me. Really not happy I had to drive an hour 3 separate times to return a tape deck twice that didn't work when everything is guaranteed to work and I didn't even get back the full amount I paid. Record store day is fast approaching so I felt like getting myself acquainted with the record stores around the area. I checked out Infinity Records and it was eventful I suppose. You really have to go on a hunt here to find what you want, new and used media are mixed and arranged in alphabetical order. The real problem is that everything is scattered, I'm talking vinyls in the wrong section leading to wrong pricing and artists nowhere near their respective letter section. For the most part this place sells way older records so maybe I'm not within their demographic. My girlfriend did manage to snag a sealed weyes blood record but beyond that there wasn't anything interesting to me here. read more

These guys are really great! I have one of those very cheap 106 dollar Victrola 7 in 1 record player that my son somehow got his hands on and messed up. I brought it in to have them take a look at it to see if it could be saved. They were so nice and didn't judge my cheap record player and its weird platter setup lol. They replaced the needle for 10 bucks, which saved me some money in the meantime for an upgrade that I'll save for the future! They carefully tied up my cord and wire radio antenna for me while I browsed. I really appreciate that they took such great care of my record player! I spent a while browsing the shop after we resolved the issue and bought a Neutral Milk Hotel record, which I've wanted to get for a while! I also spotted a lot of cheap used records, a whole section for 1 dollar records, and another section for 4-5 dollar records. They have a variety of genres, both old and new music, and it's a great place to browse during the weekend or on your day off. I will definitely return to browse some more and perhaps repair my record player (and future upgraded record player!) if I run into any issues again in the future! read more

Was in the area and stopped in near closing time on a Sunday. For the few of us there he stayed later. Didn't get to spend a lot of time but bought some good stuff at fair prices. Some bargains: $2.67 is a great price for things to take a runner on like some Steve Goodman and Gordon Lightfoot albums. A beautiful looking $5 copy of Louis Armstrong Plays W.C Handy. I was back on LI recently after moving to Jersey 5 years ago and had to stop in on my way home. I hadn't been here in quite some time but it was just as good as I remembered and in the half hour I had to spare, I found some outstanding 78's at very good prices. We sorely need a place like this in NJ where you can dig until your heart's content and come up with great finds every time. But alas, this gem only exists in Massapequa, so I'll just have to make some more frequent pilgrimages out there. read more

Hands Down Best place to Find Used and New Vinyl CDs and even cassettes. Knowledgeable staff (joe and Corey are friendly and helpful) mom and pops environment. I have found some of my favorite records here over the last year and so affordable, So much so that other record sellers shop here (crazy) I bought my vintage turntable here and it has not let me down. I am so going back to this joint again and again. Lost my vinyl in one of the Long Island hurricanes. Unfortunately the new place I am in doesn't allow for replacement vinyl due to lack of room. But there are still some things I want to have. Things that are meant to be on vinyl. I ran in quick tonight to pick up some of those little doohickies you need for 45's. Grabbed 6 and started snapping shots of the store for posting on Yelp, FB, Twitter & Instagram. A short conversation later I felt like I was in a friend's living room. Now I have to go back and get a turntable to play the bunch of 45's I bought the doohickies for! Extremely friendly people. Wish I had more time to spend tonight wandering and browsing but now I have a reason to go back again and again. Not that I really needed a reason! So many good things to look at and buy!!!! I've been coming to this store for a few years and it is very hit or miss. The store itself is a big store, but the inventory is lackluster. The shelves just seem empty for the space. They have records in milk crates and on the shelves that they won't let you browse through, because "they didn't price them out yet". This is a loss of sales opportunity for them. I live in Queens, but I make it a point to go to Infinity Records as often as I can get out there. Their stock has constant turnover, they have very fair prices, and always have lots of different records to look through. Seriously, I am incapable of going into Infinity without spending $60-100, even when I tell myself I'm not going to go too crazy. Their stock definitely veers towards classic rock, soul, and jazz records, and they are more the kind of shop that has lots of relatively common records rather than a curated selection of rare records, but the last time I was there I found a handful of semi-rare early US post punk / punk singles for cheap. Also, they are very condition conscious and never seem to overprice records that are in less than stellar shape. This place is worth hitting up if you are a vinyl fan for sure! read more

Not a bad record store at all. Extensive classical, jazz, big band, blues, and soul collections but lacking a bit in a selection of newer stuff. Helpful staff, non-judgmental. My only complaint is their space management. The place is huge and they don't make good use of it. A lot of half-empty shelves. Supposedly they have a whole basement full of stuff that hasn't gone upstairs yet (probably 45s or repeats), but it seems sparse when other record stores are packed to the gills with treasure. I can see you already, picking up, to purchase, an agreeably priced copy of Bathory's debut LP while I look on jealously. Yeah. Jerk. This place is great. Pretty big store by todays standards. Mostly used, some rarities but mostly common LPs that anyone would trade in. They do have a healthy selection of oldies (pre Brititsh invasion), Classic Rock, Jazz, and some classical. If you are just starting out, it's a good place because they have a lot of staples that should be part of any collection. My interest is mostly newer rock and punk, which they don't have as much of, but it's nice that they separate the new releases instead of dispersing them into their much larger stock of used LPs. read more

Totally Awesome place! I brought my turntable in to replace a needle... Turns out that I had disconnected a wire... Joe took the time to reconnect the wire, replace the needle and went over and above to connect it and try it with a record....Works like new... Stopped by today to try and sell my old linear turntable,,,unfortunately it was missing a stylus so they didn't want it BUT i found Steely Dan Aja on vinyl and a few other things. Any praise given to this place couldn't be high enough. Have been here twice. First time I went on my birthday with my (now ex) girlfriend, and only bought things that I knew and loved, which I found plenty of. The second time I went, I talked to the guys for a while, and only bought stuff I had never listened to and was recommended for me by them. Both times, I only received quality records, that I listen to almost daily. No other record shop I've ever been to in my entire life had as much genuine charm and authenticity as this one. Will be coming here as long as I am listening to music. read more
