We ordered pizzas, wings, sodas, and I added some tots. After the races, the food was set up in one of their rooms. The food was good bar food. We played some games. We shot pool. Overall fun experience and it went smoothly and the staff were very nice and accommodating. I did like having a break between the two spins around the track. It gave an opportunity for everyone to regroup and check how they did.

We originally wanted to all drive together, but were told that adults and kids can't drive at the same time since the cars are different sizes and it's for safety reasons--which is completely understandable. Because of that, my kids were the only ones who rode this time. It's also important to know that it's not based on age, but on height when determining who can drive, which I thought was helpful. The staff did a great job explaining everything, especially the flags and what they mean, which made us feel comfortable right away. We went during the week, and it wasn't crowded at all, so my kids actually had the track to themselves, which made it even more special. One thing we really loved was that they received a printout of their lap times. It made the experience feel more personal and something they could take pride in. They also got to choose a head wrap in their favorite color and keep it, which was a nice touch. The only downside is that you have to purchase a membership in addition to paying for the laps. However, the membership is valid for a year and can be used at this location or other locations, which helps justify the cost. Overall, it was a great experience, and my kids had a blast!

If you're looking for the absolute best arcade experience in San Diego, look no further than Arcade…read moreMonsters! This place is incredible from the moment you walk in. Whether you're into classic retro arcade games, modern games, pinball, rhythm games, or rare machines you can't find anywhere else, they have an amazing selection that will keep you entertained for hours. The atmosphere is awesome--fun, energetic, and welcoming for everyone. It's the perfect place for a date night, hanging out with friends, celebrating a birthday, or just reliving your childhood. Everywhere you look there's another game you forgot you loved. The food was surprisingly fantastic, especially for an arcade. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and way better than typical arcade food. The drinks were excellent too, with a great selection and well-made cocktails that made the experience even better. One of the biggest highlights is the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. It's clear they care about the customers and take pride in keeping the arcade clean, organized, and running smoothly. What really sets Arcade Monsters apart is how much passion has gone into creating this place. It's not just an arcade--it's an experience. The combination of incredible retro games, newer arcade machines, great food, delicious drinks, and outstanding customer service makes this one of the most fun places to visit in downtown San Diego. I've been to a lot of arcades over the years, and this is easily one of the best. I can't recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back again and again. If you're anywhere near San Diego, do yourself a favor and check out Arcade Monsters--you won't be disappointed!

PIRATES AND DINOSAURS MINI-GOLF We paid for the two 9-hole courses (pirates and dinosaurs themes). You simply retrieve another ball at the counter between plays as you lose your ball down the last hole. We thought the pirate course was the better of the two, having some animated screens and was also less busy the day we went. Both courses are indoor and glow-in-the-dark. VISUALLY STUNNING, SLIGHTLY UNINTERESTING HOLES Visually, this is one of the better mini-golf courses we've done, especially because it's neon glow-in-the-dark, although the actual holes were slightly straightforward. Many of them just had concrete obstacles in the way in different formations. Still worth doing though, especially if you're mini-golf fans like us. NOT JUST MINI-GOLF The restrooms were in the back. They have two party rooms that were both busy the day we went. There are arcade machines and laser tag and food and drink available at 'Portal 19' (21+) PRICING The price for 2 mini-golf courses was $17 each. (Spring 2026) PARKING Plenty of free parking out front. A fun place to go for children and adults of all ages! Helpful?

The course itself was clean and interesting; however, the courses were very easy and not very challenging. As a result of the easy courses, my husband and I got through them really fast. I was a bit annoyed because there was another group playing, and they were running all over the place. They were stepping on the props and going out of order. The parents weren't paying attention, and I just wish there had been some intervention from staff, unless they don't have cameras in the room to see this type of behavior going on. I think the mini golf is more for little kids. I've been to other mini golf locations, and have always found them to be fun and challenging. I just feel like I didn't get my money's worth. I think the price should be lower than what it is. Overall, the place was clean, restrooms clean, and the staff were nice and helpful.
