Finally gave in and got lash extensions. I was wary because I had them a lonnngggg time ago and didn't enjoy them, and two, I'm not high maintenance and three, I'm pretty active doing a lot of of hot yoga and using a sleeping mask, so I figured lash extensions, although nice, would not fit my lifestyle. Fortunately, I have a friend that also does hot yoga, and is active and swears by this place that the extensions last a longtime even after multiple sweaty work out sessions. I was more inclined to try them knowing someone first hand and who knows my struggle. So I gave in. I mean I live in San Diego and drove all the way up here to get extensions, so they're obviously worth every penny (a lot of pretty pennies). Definitely took a lot of time off my primping routine. They are so lightweight! Can't even tell they're there. I wear glasses a lot, and Mary (my lash lady) suggested lashes that wouldn't hit my lenses..how perfect! They are customizable, I got the hybrid lashes. Anyway, they look pretty good so far, it's been about 2 weeks. Getting a fill next week. They lasted with multiple sweaty yoga sessions, showers and sleeping with an eye mask. I first got lashes done a few years ago near Mission Valley. It didn't "wow" me enough to get a fill so I never cared to go back. Then one of my friends had AMAZING, voluminous, dramatic lashes. I couldn't believe they were extensions and had to try for myself. She recommended me to her girl, Mary and she was even better than I expected! Mary is extremely talented and also very sweet. She makes you feel comfortable and is very informative about the process and what she is doing. I have been going to her for a few months now and she never disappoints me! She has done everything from making my lashes look au natural to bold and fluffy! She is so knowledgeable on what lashes best shape your eyes, and the length and volume that would best compliment you. I was surprised to see what a difference it made and how it can make your eyes look more round or cat-eye, depending on the style. Volume lashes have definitely become my favorite and it's difficult to find. Many salons try to claim "clusters" as volume, and beware - they're extremely different!!! Mary does REAL volume and I always get compliments whenever I get them, even from strangers! They last such a long time, making the investment so worth it. I am so in love with my volume lashes done by Mary! She is so sweet & so caring; she gave me great advice to take care of my lashes to keep them lasting long & staying fluffy & beautiful. I told her about the full cat-eye look I wanted & she was able to achieve it perfectly! My natural lashes are fairly short & sparse, but now they look so full! I had never done volume lashes before going to Mary, but now I can honestly say I don't ever want to go a day without a full volume set. I can't believe how much brighter & more feminine my eyes look, even if I'm just waking up wearing no eye makeup. I probably save about an hour of my time per day because I don't feel the need to wear eye makeup anymore! So the owner reached out to me after a bad experience at another boutique and I decided to try it out. Wow, Tracy took her time and explained everything and it was the best lash job I've had. I am definitely coming back again, the price point is normal for lashes and the suite was clean and so cute. The booking was easy and done online, it wasn't hard to find an appointment for a Saturday. I have not experienced any irritation like I did at another location, Tracy took her time and did it right. Infinit Lash Boutique is one of those real life, prime examples of "you get what you pay for." I had a full hybrid set of lashes done by Tasha. I don't know what kind of fairy dust is in the products that she uses (she told me that she developed her own product line, by the way), but you don't have to worry about the "typical" issues that come with lash extensions. If you've had lash extensions before, you know what I'm talking about; waiting 24 hours to get the extensions wet, using oil-free makeup remover, blah, blah, blah. All of the restrictions can make lash extensions a hassle when the whole point is to make life a little easier, right? There are a few things that are not recommended, like waterproof mascara - but life goes on pretty much as normal after you walk out of your appointment. And, to top it off, my retention has been the best I've ever experienced. Tasha is a an expert at what she does, and clearly loves her job. She asked me a lot of questions about my makeup/skincare routines, past lash experiences, as well as my expectations. She even told me that if there was something that I didn't like for any reason, to please let her know. She doesn't take feedback personally, which I appreciate, and wants her clients to be happy. Everyone has a different "eye" and things look different to people based on their perspective, and Tasha understands that. She is also very personable, which makes the experience that much better. I've had lash extensions done a few times, and they were good - but my lashes by Tasha are perfection. I booked my fill-in immediately after my appointment just to make sure that I could get the time/date that I needed. Being a faithful eyelash extension customer for ~1.5 years now, I can attest to the level of detail and gorgeous output that Tasha delivers every time I visit. What started out as as fun thing to try has turned into a full blown addiction. I get so many compliments on my eyelashes and it really is a time saver not having to put on mascara! My lashes look very full but still natural. No one can tell they are extensions which is my favorite part :) The lashes last about 3-4 weeks on me depending on how fast my lashes grow. Pro tip: stop taking hair, skin and nail vitamins if you get these! I was taking these vitamins but it was causing my eyelashes to grow out pretty quickly (which meant fills more often) so I stopped.
