At that point I had a baby who just turned one and kept this company in mind when it was time to baby proof the house when she started getting mobile. I believe I contacted Mike in July when that started to happen. Also, I had family coming to visit with an active 2 year old and wanted to make sure the house was safe. Mike came in for the assessment and was very thorough in the process. He provided an extensive quote and worked with me to add and remove certain things with our budget. We were able to schedule the install the same day our visitors showed up. I believe Jeremy was his name. He was very professional and explained how everything works. I think I had to rush him at the end because I needed to go pick up my family at the airport. In doing so he forgot something but ended up coming back. Great attention to detail. After a lot of back and forth with my own install process I decided to hire out. I scheduled with them online w Yelp and that seemed to go smoothly. The date for install was pushed out a lot further than desired but I took it since I wanted things done in my née home prior to moving in with my family. After scheduling the initial stage of install went okay, more appts were needed to finish the work and that's when I had concerns. This is not a large business so if you need something done fast, they're not for you. I believe Mike said there are 3 people that work in the business (the person handling Yelp communication, him, and one other who wasn't available) but really it's Mike. So 1 person is all that is available for any and all work...so you're working on his schedule, whenever he is available, and that seemed to be things like during mornings when he was dropping off his child at school or afternoon when picking up etc. that's when you'll have any service done. This didn't work for our family. It felt like I was bothering him while at the same time paying hundreds of dollars for service each time. It isn't cheap for labor fees so when you're also left wondering when you can get things done, and you have an active child getting into everything in a new home, it's not a good combo. Overall the product installs were decent. I noted a few areas that damaged our cabinets (it was minor but I could have had my spouse do that lol for free) and one gate had to be redone as it was a bit faulty or the install was. It was corrected in the end. Not sure how long everything will last and for the cost...well, it is what it is. I had one last interaction as I requested service for another few things needing to be done and was given a 2 week timeframe. That didn't work and I ended up with Mike at my door unannounced (he said he assumed I confirmed but I never did and texts were clear). He had his child with him at that time which I did not feel comfortable with either so I denied access and let him know I never confirmed any date or time. I later bought the items needed and am doing that install myself. Kind of a pain but again, it is what it is. I can't say I wouldn't recommend them, but for sure YMMV and with reservations. If you're in no hurry, don't mind paying a lot for installation, and are okay with the job being broken into more than one appt, then I would say it would work. I don't plan to use them again. read more

Never made us feel like we were asking too many questions! On the day of the install, everything turned out perfectly!! We LOVE our gates. So glad we found Jack and his team at Infant House! We tried to install 3 different baby gates on our own, but none worked for our staircase. They were either too wide, too tall or not compatible with our wider than average banisters. I called Infant House and spoke to Jack, who was very helpful and assured me they could find a solution. Jonathan came out a couple days later and installed two baby gates and a few kitchen cabinet magnetic locks (best ever!). He was very professional, explained everything he would be doing and worked diligently to install the gates. I have an irregular configure stair case so I was really challenged for how we would install the baby gate. Mike with infant house was great. He text me pictures and a quote the day that I reached out to him (just so happend to be the day my baby started taking an interest in climbing up the stairs) He was able to come out the next morning & install our top & bottom baby gates. It took a few hours of labor. He knew the best placement for durability & minimal damage once removed. He was super friendly, professional & knowledgeable. Late review. Im a busy mom but I wanted to take a moment to review Infant House because I think they are a very professional company and merit a good review. Luke took care of us. He came to our home on time and reviewed all the rooms with us pointing out the important issues. At the end we decided to have him install the gate in our stairs and purchased other items to install ourselves. The installation was fairly quick and he cleaned after the job was done. There were multiple reasons why I would recommend this company: Prompt answer, courteous staff, good workmanship and, decent prices. If we could afford have all our house done by them, we would have but we decided to do some of the job ourselves to save some cash. Mike came in in May of 2016 before my baby came in June. He was honest about what we needed and what may be excessive. We had unique needs in that our stairways (X3) were extra wide and had uneven bases with rod iron bannisters-he customized the gates perfectly. Our baby started crawling at 7 months old and I am so glad we had all of this done beforehand! We also had some additional changes we wanted to make just recently; I emailed Mike on a Monday and he was out on Tuesday- on time, and completed all requests efficiently. What a relief. Infant house came in and literally solved all of my baby proofing problems with in days. I mean I have every cabinet, desk, dresser, door etc etc etc done and it was ALLOT trust me I could have never done it on my own. The work was seamless, and Mike was very professional he didn't leave behind any mess or trash it was like he wasn't even there. All the equipment and products he installed have had ZERO problems for the last year I think they will last forever and they could even add value to the house. Most items can easily be put into a mode where they are not function-able so in the future when my children get old I wont still be fighting the child locks, but if a new family moves in with children/babies it will already be done. I don't mind paying if the work is good and the quality is good. I thought it was high at first but after he installed everything it was worth every penny and now I can't imagine not having the installation. I was so thankful to have these guys come and baby proof our house. We walked the house together to discuss all of our options and then picked and chose the things that we felt were the most important. They put gates on our stairs (perfect ones that matched and blended with our iron banisters), tethered all dressers and TVs to the walls, put magnetic locks on cabinets, door stops, cord cleats, toilet locks, etc. They worked with my schedule to come when I could be around and were so fast, professional and efficient. They also put up a mesh fence that was tailored to the shape of our pool which gives me SO much peace of mind now that our toddler loves to play outside.
