A port-a-potty out there would be amazing for the people who come down to picnic, take photos, and just swim in the general area. Other than that, I highly, highly recommend this place! We're taking a bunch of friends out again this weekend to kayak, we liked it so much.

Grounds were well kept. It's a small area overall but just what we needed for a quick weekend. The highway noise is pretty significant if that bothers you, can't do anything about it but just something to note if you want a certain experience. We were in a camper so it wasn't a huge problem. The owners were always around if we needed anything (they live nearby) and they brought over firewood on a golf cart that we bought from them, so that was handy. The river is a bit low and currently on the far bank, so we didn't do any activities there. Would return!

As you can imagine, coordinating a kayak trip with Texas weather and multiple involved Girl Scouts posed a bit of a logistical nightmare but Steve was understanding all along the way! He was understanding when we dropped a few girls and added one back on and when weather canceled us the first few times he was very clear and quick with the communication. Second, Steve was incredibly informative and patient with our Girl Scouts. This was a group of girls ages 11-15 but most of our group fell into the 11-12 year old range. He kept the girls on task and made sure they were watching at the important parts without coming across as too tough.
