IndyWest researched every concern and fixed it free of charge with my warranty and the recall. It is so nice to show up and leave 2 hours later after all the repairs and replacements. I could have died because of their incompetence. Last year I purchased a brand new 2024 CVO Street glide from them. Less than 1000 miles and a warning triangle light comes on and my cruise control wouldn't work. Bike has been in the shop 4 times for this same issue. Recently the bike was sitting in my garage, and the alarm just starts going off for no reason. (Tuesday)They picked it up and said they would look at it the next day. (Friday) I go to the shop expecting to see my bike on a lift. Mind you I asked them on 3 separate occasions between Tuesday and Friday to make sure the battery was charged. I was assured that the battery was fine. Service manager lies to me on that Friday stating that they ran the diagnostic, sent the information to Harley and were waiting for a call back. I called Harley and discovered it was a lie. Fast forward to now the following Friday I call to check the status of my bike. The only code that popped up was low charge on the battery.... Had my bike for over a week and it was what I suspected from the beginning. Pick the bike up and guess what, triangle light still on. Whoever worked on the bike did not totally secure my right-side hand controls, so the whole assembly came loose while I was riding it, and now my Home-Link and bright lights no longer work either. Service manager apologizes and says I can bring it back, should be an easy fix. I am a busy guy, and it is very inconvenient to keep having to go there for shotty, no attention to detail workmanship. Call to have a conversation with the general manager to explain the issue and attempt to have it set up so I can get in and out. I explain the latest issue and she had the audacity to imply that I may have loosened the hand controls. YOU PEOPLE COULD HAVE KILLED ME! Then to add insult to injury, because your staff is incompetent and can't fix the issues, says "We can't seem to please you so I think you should take the bike somewhere else." Well, she's absolutely correct, I'm not pleased when a brand-new bike has constantly been in the shop and your team can't perform their job with skill and integrity. 1000-mile service completed by them, I get my bike back and mysteriously the next day my rear tire has a nail in it. 20 years+ of riding and never had a nail in a tire. Now that I worked my 1st service in my deal to be done at no charge I end up paying $400 for a tire, HMMMM! If you value your time and your life, I suggest you run from this place. read more

The store manager is deplorable as well as the service department. I purchased a brand new 2022 CVO TRI GLIDE in late September of that year. The sales team was very hospitable at first but when a little time went by and problems surfaced with the machine specifically the add-on's that they installed were shoddy at best adversely affecting the integrity and cosmetics of the motorcycle. Examples include, ie.. HD armrests, rear trunk lid,tour pack and a lean to the left that they thought shocks would correct. First item, the arm rests were improperly installed causing the swivel bolts to make contact with the trunk body wearing through the paint and jellcoat. They refused to take any responsibility for that. Second, installation of armrests required removal of tour-pack in which a crack formed near the hinge. The sales person (Doug) tried to stop it from spreading by applying appoxy on the inside of it, temporary fix but still had the crack very visible on the outside. The trunk lid or door was replaced because the original from factory was orange peeled and flat that even an attempt to buff it out made it worse. So they replaced with a better finished one. While swapping parts from old lid to new that was cracked as well by overnightening fasteners to chrome license plate light. Again Doug tried to rub that one out. All of the cables, connectors and antenna were left unplugged from armrest installation as well as the saddle retaining bolt upon delivery. The fender bra's were also installed with one 3 inches more forward than the other as well as the mud flaps installed bunched up. The bike had a left lean and their remedy was to replace the shocks with supposedly superior aftermarket shock which came out of my pocket as they said HD warranty didn't cover shocks. Ie... I had purchased extensive warranty when brand new. New shocks didn't do anything to correct lean. Finally the young man who is responsible to wash after repairs used a bud and road debris micro fiber cloth with HD clean and wax spray scratched the daylight out of the once perfect paint. You might think that's enough but for sake of sounding like a wining broken record I'll stop there ending in the store manager became overwhelmed by the horror that her dealership had caused permanently forbade me to return to that dealership ever again. I did call HD customer complaints and they told me that I was on my own. They had nothing to do with it. It was a dealership issue. I've had very negative interaction with Doug. He was rude and condescending. The GM reached out to me and that I appreciated. In his conversation with her regarding the situation he misled her, in my opinion. I believe he is only interested in another sale and if he feels you're not a candidate (he misread me in that regard) then you're not worth his time. He's a salesman in the negative sense. He himself has never reached out to me with an explanation or apology and with just that in mind..my next purchase will not be at that dealership. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Saw a bike listed online for $19,499 (see attached screenshot). Drove two hours only to be told the actual price was $23,499. Note: A new 2020 Road King only cost around $19,500 brand new. On top of that they only wanted to give me $16,500 for an 2018 Roadglide w/under 10k. Plus all of the fees They wanted me to give them my bike plus $9,500, ridiculous!! I have no doubt that they would be asking at least $23,000 if my bike was on their showroom floor This is exactly why I've bought my last two Harleys at Boswell's in Tennessee. Don't waste your time here unless you're loaded and don't care about money. Just another corporate dealership that caters to the wealthy who don't care about the price. read more

I took my bike there for what seemed to be a loud exhaust leak. After asking several questions and putting the answers in the computer, I left the bike and they had problem identified in a very short time. They repaired my bike and had issues getting parts delivered to my satisfaction. And the price they quoted was spot on! Thank you folks at Indy West Harley Davidson. I will be in to by a shirt. I have not purchased a motorcycle here so i cannot comment on their sales staff. I have come here quiet often on rides where we stop in, grab a soda and maybe do some shopping for clothing or accessories. They have a nice assortment of clothing and accessories, i would say about average for a Harley Dealership. Most of my interactions have been with their service department. I have been using them for service for about 3 years now. I bought my Harley at another location and was not pleased with my service there and heard that IndyWest had a nice service department so i gave them a shot. So far they have done a great job working on my bike. About a year and a half ago i laid down my bike and these guys did a great job fixing it. Was about $4k in damage and came out looking and running perfect. I have also had them store my bike in the winter for 3 years. They change the oil, and check all the nuts and bolts and store it in a temperature controlled warehouse. The will also pick up or drop off your bike (one or the other - for free) if you need help. I have only had one issue with them and that was with the driver that was going to pick up my bike but it wasn't a huge deal and when i explained what was going on to the service manager he corrected everything and all was great! I do feel with their service department that they really want to see everyone happy, they do good work and leave you feeling like your bike is in good hands and they are very fair on their prices. I plan on continuing to come here and recommend their service department to all my friends that ride. read more

I am posting this for my brother who tried to purchase a motorcycle from them even though I told him of my bad experience he found the bike that he wanted at their facility upon calling to get some information he was created on the phone bye hey very rude sales person who would not answer the questions that he had and basically told him to come in because they were busy he lives two hours away so he ended up going to Southside and now herehe has a awesome brand new bike he loves his trike and got a fair deal for someone spending 30+ thousand dollars on a motorcycle I would think management would get the hint that place is a joke read more

My experience was above my expectations- the hospitality from everyone in the store and with Doug assisting me in looking at bikes - with ZERO PRESSURE I might add, was a very cool experience. I shouted him what I liked he gave me honest opinions about how the bike didn't really fit me based on my build, height, what I want to ride for and personality. He walked me trough the process on getting registered for the safety course, literally looking at 7 different bikes to find the right one for me and then ultimately purchasing my first bike. This was a 4 week process and he didn't push or pull me in any direction and he answered all of my questions, answered questions that I didn't even know to ask and truly is just a genuine guy. As a veteran himself, he too wanted to help another veteran find a bike, adopt a lifestyle, have fun, pick the right bike, and most importantly be safe. Mel, Dave, Bill (instructor), Tiffany (instructor), and everyone over in the service department whom I only met briefly were all open to answer any questions I had and assisted me with the entire process. Now let's add the parts you so convenienty left out. Yor service department did not do their job causing me to break down on the side of the road. They were sent away due to the fact that they expected me to pay out of pocket to fix it and for a loner to finish my vacation that cost me a bunch of prepaid money that I missed most of and was told by your service manager when I said that I was not paying out of pocket to fix your mess up well I don't know what to tell you then. So I'm sorry you did not try to help and I don't need another B.S. "I'm Sorry" you guys had the chance to make it right and didnt several times. My husband purchased a 2019 Harley Davidson from Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Once we picked the bike up he noticed there was some rust on the custom pipes he had installed by HD Pigeon Forge. My husband contacted Plainfield HD Service Manager to have the one thousand mile service done on bike. Plainfield HD documented the rust and contacted HD. Harley Davidson agreed to replace the pipes. The service manager at Plainfield HD charged us again for the labor that we already paid for in Pigeon Forge Harley Davison. Bad Service Practice! My husband has purchased 4 new Harley's in the past 10 years. We will never patronize Plainfield HD dealership again... read more

Originally I was going to provide a low rating on the service dept but after some discussion with them, the service dept, I have changed my mind. Due to some miss understanding/explanation on both parties part, everything was fixed very satisfactory. My trike needed a service after a 775 mile trip; this was very satisfactory completed and returned spot-less. Although I was expecting my bike back on Sat but didn't get it back until Mon, the source of the discussion. I will continue to bring my HD's to Indy West. Would suggest that the Fri-Sat, first come/first serve be explained in more detail or have an understanding with the owner if s/he has to drop off their H-D earlier in the week. read more

Riding back from Peoria Illinois to Pittsburgh my 92 heritage softtails regulator caused me problems(battery, light bulbs blowing out etc.) I really didn't want to call a Harley dealership bc of the bikes age, but I did. Not only did they have the part in stock, they put it in quickly and at a very reasonable price. This is the Harley Davidson brotherhood that I remember and greatly respect. My receipts don't show names, just initials, but I wanted to give thanks to the guys who helped. Their initials are BB from service and DMK from parts. Keep up the good work and hospitality. You don't run across this much these days. My last name is DiIanni. I hope these guys get recognized for their work and respect for customers. read more

If I could give a zero I would. What can I say....... from sales to service the only thing that matters is making money. I have bought 3 bikes from here but I have also bought my last one!!!! I had a recall done on my trike and it was brought back to my home worse than when it went in. They did come back and attempt to fix it again....fail. Now you would think being a valued customer I would maybe gotten a wash or even the bike fixed right? No! Still grinds when going in gear. So I'll fix it myself. It's not worth the hassle. As far as the sales team lol wow you are golden until you sign on the dotted line. After you take your bike you are just another customer. There are so many places to buy a new bike why would anyone wanna go here is beyond me! I gave them several chances because they are close to where I live. Don't make the same mistake as I did, go south!!! At least the employees are straight forward no BS kinda people. It's worth the drive . If you're not gonna try to earn someone's business why even be in business. Where's the loyalty to us customers who keep your doors open?
