    Cool design

Industry Horror is a new fun store in downtown Ventura. I checked it our recently and the girl working there told me the store opened in May this year, so it's a new addition to the area. Industry Horror is a small, cozy store that sells clothing and accessories (hats, sunglasses, bags, etc) for guys and gals, all with a horror oriented design. What's nice about this store is that they employ people with special needs, helping them develop skills, learn, be creative and productive though fashion. So, that's a wonderful idea. The store has a cool design inside, a nice fitting room, great customer service and funky merchandise, perfect for a cool gift. I know this merchandise it's nor for everyone, but some people will love it. I got my husband a cool t-shirt in here. Prices are reasonable, I love that another cool, one of a kind store popped up in downtown Ventura. That's why I come back to this area for shopping! So, next time you're in the area, pop inside Industry Horror, it's fun, different, cheeky kinda of a store.

I've been coming here since they opened and even buy a lot of their products online, their clothing is quality and the sizing is true to fit so that I can trust purchasing shirts online from them, which is such a nice consistent perk that's hard to find nowadays. I love the entire vibe of this store. It's rock n roll, adventure, and nature focused. They have plenty of gear for your needed camping accessories, clothing and ride ware. If outdoors shenanigans isn't your speed, don't worry, they have plenty of ready to wear cute clothing and such for those who want to look badass but aren't necessarily riding off into the sunset on their bike. They have a perfect balance for both kinds of customers. I love that their inventory and styles change regularly but that they also know what sells and keep purchasing items that are similar but updated for the season. For example I can always count on them getting cool new logo / graphic shirts, candles, and jackets but new styles to keep it fresh. The staff have all always been nice here and helpful. It's always felt like a very welcoming vibe here and I've never had an issues. Honestly their customer service is what keeps me coming back. The store is always well stocked and clean, a great place to shop. I've found so many goodies here over the years. I have many of their graphic shirts, candles, room sprays, home goods and even purchased one of my favorite small little blades from them. If you haven't been to iron and resin yet in downtown Ventura you must definitely go!

When I entered, the young lady at the registered welcomed me. I couldn't find the bag I was looking for because I didn't know what the bag looked like since it's a different brand than I am used to. I asked a young man that was loading shelves and he called for someone to come help me. Another gentleman came and helped me within a minute. They did have quite a large Oxbow small animal pet products more than I have seen at Tractor Supply. So, even though I probably won't be back for these pellet bedding bags when TSS opens; I would come back for all the rabbit chew toys and supplies they have. I was checked out quickly and on my way.

My husband hates to shop and Rosie was such a good listener and knew how to coax him into trying on the clothing that would work for him in all the scenarios he described. To give some context you will see Great Pacific Iron Works written across the top of the store, which was Patagonia's first store, opened in 1973 in the former Hobson meat-packing plant, near Chouinard's blacksmith shop, which is another product line and name you'll see often in their clothing. This part of Ventura is extremely sleepy so it's very easy to find a free street spot and there is also some EV charging available as well. The staff here is very friendly and always very attentive so it's one of the best parts about visiting. There are many different rooms inside divided by product type and there is even a tiny little museum area with all sorts of pictures and facts about the former building and Ventura. One of my favorite things about coming here is they tend to have some Ventura specific, or limited run products that you won't see in some of their larger bigger city stores. So you can really find some stuff that would otherwise be hard to find online or out of state. I try to stop here every time I pass through Ventura and would recommend to anyone else to do the same. They have products for men, women, and children, so there really is something for everyone.

From the start, she was rude, combative, sarcastic, and unnecessarily aggressive throughout the entire process. Instead of simply helping resolve the issue professionally, I was met with attitude, condescending remarks, and an overall hostile demeanor that made the experience far more difficult than it needed to be. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and professionalism -- especially from a company that prides itself on customer service and brand values. The exchange itself was straightforward, yet Maddie handled it in a way that felt confrontational and unwelcoming from beginning to end. It honestly left a terrible impression of the store and the company overall. After being a customer for nearly 30 years and a brand ambassador for this company, I truly never expected to be treated this way. If this is the type of people Patagonia chooses to employ to represent their brand, I do not believe I will be moving forward with purchasing their products in the future. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience absolutely warranted one.

I also love their home decor and jewelry, it does remind me of merchandise I saw or bought in Mexico, great variety, quality, nice mirrors with pretty frames and pottery pieces that would pop in a room. I am so happy that I agreed as this place was a journey back into all of my personal travels to Mexico. I immediately knew how special this shop was as I talked to Nicole, and she shared with me the heart of the owners to share the 'artesania' of the indigenous artists of Mexico and South America. I was very impressed with the representation of the different styles of craft from various regions in Mexico! This is one of the best curated collections of the craft from my home country that I have ever seen. It also warmed my heart to see pictures of the artists throughout the shop and to know that the owners consider them friends and have a love to share their gifts with the world. Also, normally, this work is very inflated in our country, making it somewhat inaccessible for people to buy with the crazy markups. I appreciated that they not only had wonderfully curated quality pieces, but the prices were reasonable for the style of work. Knowing that the local artists are being supported to continue to thrive in these crafts makes me want to support this business even more! I love the connection and knowledge that they share. This was evident in my conversation with Nicole. She was so kind and passionate about her care of the shop. It was like walking into a shop, but also have the expertise of an art curator sharing knowledge. Such a wonderful place!!! You will absolutely find a new treasure here!!!
