I had business in this part of town and was happy to find Industrial Donut was so close to where I found myself. I am a basic coffee type of dude and found the Coffee was very good and I had to try a donut and it was very good and tasted so fresh! I would go there again! The lady hooked me up with an awesome blueberry flavored one read more

Delicious donuts that you can customize with a wide range of toppings, good service and decent prices. This is my favorite donut store in Champaign county. read more

Enjoyed the cake donuts here that are made fresh and still warm when you get them. You can customize your own donuts but we found that simple toppings or just icing allowed us to really savor the joys of a cake donut. When you bite into the donut there's a crisp outer layer then you sink your teeth into a fluffy mouthful of warm cake do(ugh)nut. Only bummed that they don't sell raised yeast donuts because that would be so delicious to have warm and fresh too! If you're not a donut fan there's plenty of chocolate bar offerings with fun flavors and Rice Krispie treats with all sorts of add- in candy and chocolate enrobing. Typical cafe drinks are also offered. Very kid friendly. read more

Maple with Cinnamon Toast Crunch..and the raspberry white chocolate donuts were delicious!!

Amazing donuts--so yummy and fresh. Staff is super friendly and kind and the store is so cute! Definitely recommend.

While I really enjoy the freshness of Industrial Donut's cake donuts, if wish they had some options for the base donut - that is glazed and topped - other than vanilla. My donut was glazed with super-sweet chocolate glaze and topped with multi-colored sprinkles. My friend had a plain glaze and a dollop of apple filling (as close as you can come to an apple fritter). Friendly service. read more

Donuts were great! I'd say the best with the exception of some donuts had this weekend in Chicago. Staff were very polite

Donuts are SO stinking good! My favorite is the PBJ Hole and their weekly specials never disappoint- worth the drive from Bloomington but wish it was closer!! read more

Industrial Donut has the very best donuts in town! There has never been a time where I haven't been pleased.

Excellent donuts- and love having them made right in front of you. We ordered 6 chocolate with sprinkles for the kids. Huge hit! I also grabbed a latte, which was really good. I'm not a big donut person, but these were excellent. They have something for everyone, and many more elaborate options than what we ordered. read more

Great service, donuts warm and tasty!!! Lots of varieties as far as toppings. Always try to get a dozen when visiting family in Savoy.

Great customer service every time I go in, and they've got the best donuts in town. Thank you!

A very friendly, clean atmosphere. A different concept to a donut shop. Fresh donuts and they're made to order. I had the vanilla with caramel drizzle and my husband had the lemon. The young man was very helpful and friendly. We'll definitely go back. And you don't need to be there at 5 am to get the fresh donuts. read more

Lovely place with a great atmosphere, and friendly staff. The donuts have a very light dough and you can choose which toppings flavor you want. Pretty good donuts. They were not as fresh tasting as I had hoped. The toppings were pretty good.

I've been making all kinds of healthy choices this month and Industrial Donut was just one of them (insert sarcasm here). In all seriousness, these are good donuts. My husband's coworkers were kind enough to shower him with a box of these treats on his last day of work. I'm the lucky lady that got to sample the leftovers. Loved the PB & J and the Oreo. I'm embarrassed to admit that I started eating them before I even looked at where they came from, and I'm not normally a cake donut fan. However, I wouldn't hesitate to actually visit the shop and build my own creation. The concept is neat; we've seen this done at yogurt and noodle shops and the like, so why not donuts? From the opinion of a yeast donut lover, I recommend. read more

Absolutely the best donuts ever. Took my twin granddaughters. They loved picking out the frosting and toppings. I had the lemon glaze which was not a good choice but the donut was amazing. Can't wait to go again! read more

I actually first stepped inside Industrial Donut a week ago. It was after hours and I was looking in the window as owners James and Becca were cleaning the shop. James let me in to take a quick look. This morning, my wife suggested that we get some donuts from Industrial. Excellent suggestion! Traffic was pretty brisk this Saturday morning. A worker explained the ordering process and we looked at the many options. I decided on one donut with chocolate icing and bacon. My second donut had peanut butter icing and was topped with M&M's. I also ordered a regular black coffee to drink. My wife has one donut with vanilla icing and bacon and another with vanilla icing and crushed Oreo cookies. She drank a decaf coffee. The verdict: Outstanding! The donuts were reasonably priced at $1.49 each and had great flavor. The coffee was excellent. Service was friendly and quick. We ate our donuts in the store. Industrial Donut coffee, coffee mugs and shirts are available for purchase. There are games available in case you take your kids out for donuts. The coffee service area had several flavorings available as well as different types of creamers and milk. There were even extras like nutmeg for your coffee. Our four donuts and two coffees, with tax, cost $10.74. Would I return? Definitely! I plan on getting a dozen to take into work. They will surely make me a hero for the day! read more

The coffees are big and the donuts are small. The first donut I had from this place was one that was brought to me a couple hours after it was made - yuck. These donuts are meant to be enjoyed fresh!! Yeah, the donuts are a bit more expensive than those you'd find at a gas station but they're made fresh and have such a variety of toppings on them. Worth it. The downside to this is that the donuts are child-sized so you really need more than one. They are heavily staffed, which is great. It's a bit mesmerizing to watch the staff working. They even have someone greeting you at the front to explain the ordering process if you are not familiar - I was very thankful for that. In addition to all of their topping options, they also have house specials -- including a weekly special that seems to get its name from locals (adorable). The hot coffee is one size for a good price. They have selections of syrups and milks (soy, almond, 2%... regular?) and cream. They even have a board by the coffee station that suggests a drink for you to make, which I thought was very clever and wish I had seen before I dumped my usual cream and sugar into my cup. I would suggest they get longer stir sticks, though - I let go of my stir stick and it disappeared into my coffee. This is a great place for kids to come! They have some cute toys to play with and some other interactive activities - like coloring and designing your own donut! (I wish they displayed these drawings somewhere). Indoor seating was nice. Comfortable, padded chairs and ample tables. A good mix of 2-person tables and tables for larger groups. I do hope they add some outdoor seating! The inside temperature was a bit cold, but I could see this being a nice thing on a super hot day. Just maybe not a great temperature if you're planning on staying here for a long time. Speaking of staying here for a long time, there are quite a few outlets around if you look well. Mostly hidden under the tables against the wall! To be honest, I really tried to find a way to not give this place 5 stars. I actively looked for reasons to knock it down because I don't like giving 5 stars... but I really could not justify giving it any less. There were a couple small things here and there, but nothing that added up to a full star July 2020 Update: Everything in my previous review remains true! But I wanted to update to give a extra shoutout for the way they've kept the business going during this pandemic. With safe distancing practices and safety measures in place at the store, it has been a great experience ordering from them. Their online ordering is easy to use (though the donuts don't allow you to add more than one topping to them - but there's a notes section!). I'd highly recommend checking out their Instagram page to get the latest news on daily specials and the weekly donut. Grab a half dozen and a delicious iced coffee. My only complaint now is that their donuts are so delicious and their specials are so mouth-watering I'm going to need a gym membership after this quarantine is over! read more

Industrial Donut - Maple and sprinkles donut and a vanilla and almond slivers. Om nom nom. - Donuts Near Me - Savoy, Illinois

I got the Industrial Waste donut and made an Oreo donut (vanilla icing, Oreos, and chocolate drizzle). Both were very tasty and fresh. Although I have a major sweet tooth, I dislike overly sugary donuts. However, I can say that these have JUST the right amount (which is rare in my opinion). I also got a Chai Latte which I loved. The icing on the cake was how friendly and helpful the staff was. Inside the store is also very cute and "instagrammable". The only con is that the donuts aren't super big so you may need a few if you intend to make a meal of it. Overall, definitely worth checking out and supporting a local small business! read more

Industrial Donut takes a boring cake donut and puts a fun spin. I love being able to customize each donut with an icing and topping of my choice. At first, I was hesitant about paying over $1 for a cake donut because these can be a hit or miss. However, this place changed my mind about cake donuts! My favorite so far has been the lemon drop (a weekly special), but I also enjoy a good chocolate Andes Mint. We have visited at least 3 times during this summer, and I don't plan on stopping! read more

Industrial Donut - Dozen BYO Donuts and special order! - Donuts Near Me - Savoy, Illinois

This place is fairly new to the area but I still can't believe everyone doesn't know about it. I cannot express how much I love this place (and I don't even like cake donuts) but I love these! They always have new menu items and a million different things to try (even though i'm pretty loyal to my strawberry icing with sprinkles). I do wish they were open a little later but like most donut shops they close about mid-day. We like them so much we've considered having them cater our wedding lol. If you live here, or if you're just visiting this build-your-own donut place is def a place to stop! read more

The people that like this place are the same people who think "Papa Dells" is where you go for good pizza and "The Ribeye" is where you go for a good steak. That should tell you all you need to know about this overly average donut shop. They're served warm, which is the ONLY thing they have going for them. Once they cool off, they're NOTHING SPECIAL - just an average cake donut. Not to mention the ordering process in this place, is ridiculously complex. They're trying to give their customers a really high "perceived value" and trying so hard to be bougie/upscale...but what they've done is over complicate what should be an easy process. All four people in line with me had to have the worker fill out the order form for them, myself included, because their process of ordering a freakin donut is extremely complex. Cannot wait until the first of the year when I move out of this small town where folks get excited about places like Industrial Donut. God, take me back to Chicago, where you have hundreds of REAL food options in the culinary scene. Save yourself the hassle and just go through Dunkin's drive thru - fast and hassle free. read more

This place is really unique. The people who run it are excellent marketers. The donuts are delicious. The staff are very accommodating and professional. There is nothing I don't like about the place except no yeast donuts. Still, they do cake donuts really well. They have a coffee club. If you buy their mug and bring it back, you get a 99 cent coffee. Today when we visited, Rebecca saw my husband was wearing a Green Bay Packers jacket so she brought a donut with green and yellow sprinkles with a Green Bay Packers Logo to our table complimentary, and said this is for luck. It's just that kind of place. They sure know how to market a good product. read more

Was a bit skeptical when I first saw announcement as it sounded like a lot of gimmick and marketing. I was wrong. Great space, friendly and plenty of staff, simple pricing model and quick turn. Not a fan of cake donuts, but like Thiers as it is a fluffy cake consistency. I vasilated in the last star as it is not the best bang for buck, but for all the staff maybe price for smaller donut is reasonable. Paid $15 with tax for a dozen. $7.99 plus tax for half dozen and $1.50 per donut. read more

When I heard that this place did cake donuts, my immediate thought goes to the small dry donuts (the ones from Dunkin') but I wanted to give this place a try since it's by my work. I've added another star because a comment was left by Becca of Industrial Donuts. It impressed me because apparently she actually reads our reviews of her business and she responded in a pleasant, courteous way. Many times, if I gave a low rating, someone from that business will ask that I remove my review or else they will chastise me for my unflattering comments. InDo (if I may shorten the name) responded by thanking me for taking time to review, apologizing for my disappointment, and inviting me back again. THAT'S how to run a business. We don't write our reviews to exercise our writing skills or show off our literary prowess; we do so to encourage or discourage people from patronizing a particular business and also to alert that business of its perceived positive and negative attributes. Thank you, InDo, for caring. read more

Love this place. It's a different kind of donut shop than the typical Shipley's or Krispy Kreme quick stop. The donuts are a little on the small side, but they aren't overly expensive. I wouldn't recommend it for grabbing a dozen to take to the office, but it's fantastic for sitting down for a morning meal/dessert/snack, either with others or alone. There are tons of options, and the rotating weekly specials have been some of the best flavors I've had. Highly recommend. read more

First off, the coffee is fantastic..... it is so smooth and I would say is one of the better cups of coffee in the CU area. Secondly, the location is pretty good -- I mean, there's nothing in Savoy, so this is a welcome addition and a good place to get coffee when you are down by the airport. The store is clean and modern.... just not sure why there are sound absorbing panels on the ceiling. Now for the donuts.... I like the idea of customized donuts, but it really does make the ordering process time-consuming especially when a customer has never been there before and starts asking questions to the staff..... I mean, it takes a LONG time! All I wanted was a donut with chocolate frosting on it..... I was behind a woman who was customizing six individual donuts -- it took at least a minute per donut, and she didn't even realize that there was an order form to fill out. But anyways, I guess once everyone in town gets to know the process, then I'm sure it'll be fine....... but what happens if there's a line out the door and everybody does this. Ugh. The donuts are small. And they are cake donuts which is a turn-off for me right away. I'm more of a yeast-donut person. .... the cake donuts just seem heavy and dense. These particular cake donuts were crispy on the outside (which I liked), but very mushy and doughy on the inside (I did not like).... after finishing the donut, I could taste the oiliness on the roof of my mouth which I really didn't like, and needed to buy an orange juice to wash it out. I'm glad to see a new business open up, but hope that they will improve their recipe over time. They do have a lot of potential.... especially their coffee!!! read more
