Before you wander into a store like Indochino know what you're in for. You're not walking in here for a last minute suit because you were too busy to pick one up for your wedding. You're not walking in here to pick up a suit for an occasion two weeks from now. You're walking in for a made to measure suit. What that means is that you're looking at 4-6 weeks.
When your suit comes back, and be realistic, there's going to be some alterations. You're not getting a perfect suit right off the bat, but what you will get is a perfect suit with a couple minor alterations. I've bought 200$ suits, I've had a nice old Italian guy make me a suit from scratch for enough money that I could have bought a used Hyundai.
This suit, this one, is the best I've ever bought. I was treated great, Andrew measured me up and knew his stuff (seriously can't speak highly enough of the guy, but I'm sure everyone there is equally as great).
The measurement appointment took about an hour. Again, this takes time but is worth it. 6 weeks later a box showed up at home with my suit. Everything was as ordered. I took the pants in because the waist was a bit snug (don't start, I actually lost some pounds between measurement and the suit showing up so I don't want to hear it) and got the legs hemmed a bit to fit with my shoes. 3 weeks later the alterations were done. A bit close to the wedding, but my fiancée was stoked, I was stoked, life is good.
I will not hesitate to buy the remainder of my suits and dress shirts from Indochino in the future. Remember, it could be 8 weeks start to finish to get your suit right, but it'll be bang on when it's done. read more
